  • This is a 1996 Philips DCC730 Digital Compact Cassette recorder.
It's a 3rd generation model in the line-up of DCC recorders.
Main features are the DDU2113 Turbo Drive cassette mechanism, making spooling and searching for tracks much faster than it's predecessors.
The frequency range is 20Hz to 22kHz, with an impressive 102dB S/N ratio.
Track titles can be shown on the display. In the video, you will also see some of the different kinds and brands of DCC tapes that are in my collection.
I purchased this recorder, with a box of tapes, a few years back for next-to-nothing, but it required new pinch rollers, a good cleaning, and a full de/re-grease of the mechanism.
Now, it runs like a charm, and it sounds absolutely great!
