@Kushal Kanashiya2001, Glad to know you love it :-) Well, it doesn't cost a lot. You can use waste items like plastic bottles, biscuit container as Pots. For seeds & cuttings, you can collect from friends. There are way many plants you can grow. But if you are in City area, I can understand that it might be bit difficult to arrange the Soil. But still, can be done. Good luck :-)
Kushal, you can grow plants in cut shampoo bottles, powder bottles, used paint cans, used tyres (cut in half), used cup o noodles, polythene bags from online shopping. For soil, you can collect some from your evening walks, from construction sites or even request your domestic help to get you some.
I also cannot afford so I grow in broken plastic bucket, cement and rice sacks, used bottles etc. I collect seeds from the market bought veggies and cuttings I take from wherever I get, I beg and borrow, if it is on road side I just take a cutting that's it, it's so simple, if u really love gardening go ahead when ur parents will see good results I wish they will give u money for gardening but try to get seeds from relatives or friends who are gardening and bring soil from road side, I did the same, now I also do composting at home and use half soil and half that compost, sometimes I fill 3/4 of dry leaves/ kitchen waste nicely press and then fill top with soil so I require soil also less and dry leaves turn into compost.
I have what we call the Blanket Flower in my garden but I am wondering about regular care of the plant? Do you cut them back, trim the flowered ball and what to do at end of the fall? My plants also get flower heavy and floppy is that normal? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Laura, I've always dead-headed the spent flowers and dry out the seed heads for planting in other areas. Dead-heading prompts the plant to re-flower :)
what was wrong with his pronunciation? His was perfectly fine. What he has is an accent, which I am sure, you do have too - unless you are a British bred oxford don.
@Janaki Jaideep Kumar, I am agree with you on the first part, I really need to fix it and working on it. But, not exactly agree with 2nd part 😊😊 I still need to do a lot. Thank you for watching the video n for your feedback, appreciate it.
India has dozens of different pronunciations for English. We must learn to tolerate all kinds... The Bengali English, the Assamese English, the Punjabi English, the Tamil English and so on. The essence of this video is the passion for gardening that this gentleman is trying to kindle in us. That is of prime importance.
These flowers are in the front yard of my new house. One of the plants already has a bloom. Can these be removed from the ground and potted in a container, and will they come back the next season? Will i need to take the pots in during cooler weather?
@CurlyChemist, Sure, you can dig up from the ground and grow in container. They would come back next season...At the season end, you can just cut the plants on the base (around 1 inch above the soil) and keep the pot aside. Eventually, you would see new growths in Spring time :-) Our area is frost free and so I keep them outside in cooler weather. In winter, either you can take the pots in or you can add mulch. I hope, that helps. Thank you for watching the video :-)
Thank you very much for such a wonderful video. Even a beginner like me is getting inspired. Only one thing is confusing to me how a summer flower blooms on November...!
@Sarbani Chatterjee, Most welcome and thank you so so much for your words, appreciate it. They were even blooming in December as well..though bit less. It actually depends on temperature - if it's not too low, they would continue blooming :-) In Dec, daytime temp was almost 20 and it was enough for them to bloom. However, they almost stopped blooming in Jan as it was bit cold this year. Gomprena is another flowering plant that does the same..
I have a medium size garden and lots and lots of enquiries about many little things :) So it would be nice of you if you could share your mail ID or WhatsApp number. Hope I'm not asking too much. Thanks again!
@Sarbani Chatterjee, Sure my email id is - gardeningupbeat[at]gmail.com. Plz replace the [at] with @. And, sorry to say, I don't use WhatsApp, quite strange, I know but it's real. You can also reach me via Instagram - instagram.com/gardeningupbeat/ Definitely you are not asking too much and nothing to be worry about...I would be glad if I could be your help, thank you :-)
@Indian Patriot, Sure, you can. But, in that case plz decrease the amount of Vermicompost. Otherwise, they are going to be too much taller as they would get more nitrogen.
@Anthony Pereira, I am sure that your plants would do well :-) I believe, anyone who can get great result growing Anthuriums, can grow any other plants very easily :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you for your kind words It's not as simple some plants are more difficult than others and yes I do appreciate the anthriaum success others have been a challenge till date. Just one example Ky amaryllis lily has been growing for thr past 3 years and while tgd foliage is healthy and looks good haven't seen a single bloom to date!!!! Will keep trying till I find some success for sure. You take care be well be safe. Happy gardening

@subhankar mondal, Mostly Biovita seaweed extract & Shado. Used Flower Booster from Trustbasket as well and it did well on Petunia plants..Thank you :-)
@Bhavana Soni, That's great to know...I know you would love growing Gaillardia - hardy and low maintenance. Plant price - Rs. 500...😄😄😄 just kidding, would ping u soon :-)
@Sushmita G, If I am not wrong, your pot is the plastic one? If yes, it's common and nothing to worry about. Even it's happening in clay pot, it's okay. You soil is more of a clay type and so it's happening. If you use cocopeat, you would find it less. Thank you :-)
@Sushmita G, If you use Cocopeat, the problem would be solved almost. But anyway, even though if you don't use it it's okay, you would just turn the soil on a regular basis so that it doesn't become too compact. As I have lots of pots, I never do all those things and that's why I use Cocopeat always. Soil always stays soft and no need to turn the soil :-) My soil is also more sandy type instead of clay. Anyway, it's not a big issue and if your plants are doing fine, you don't have to worry too much. Happy gardening :-)
@Wolfberry chiffon, I have shown that in the video...please take a look at the text on bottom-left corner. I actually forgot how many days it took exactly...I would need to watch the video again to inform u the exact time..

Perhaps this has been answered. Putting two in a pot forces them into an earlier bloom? Is that because there is no more room for root growth?
I love how you showed the different stages of growth!! Perfect thanks
