  • In the third and final part of our interview with Jack Mulhern from George Clooney's Boys In The Boat, Jack gives us his views on what it takes to take on a modern character related physical transformation and how it differs to famous, historical routes to achieving that result. We touch on how it affected his cognitive and mental health, and how the other boys and the team supported him, and allowed him to focus on the goal at hand.
What's really interesting is you can really really feel Jack's interest and attention to detail to the process, which made his transformation a precise journey which certainly isn't for everyone, but worked very well in his experience. For Jack Mulhern fans, you really get a grasp of how Jack approaches his work.
Longer term you can see our strategy for where we want Jack physically, and how that benefits his career going forwards.

I love hearing how dedicated everyone was to the success if the project. It is so nice to work with people like that. Whether i am doing theater or just going to my boring job every day the people that are around you can make such a difference! Getting an amazing job doesn't matter if you have to do it around a bunch of people that suck/bring down morale/treat others badly etc. This recently happened to me at my job. (Got an awesome new boss!) So my mental health has improved and now i'm getting more physically active too. Having the right people around you can make all the difference, whether it's a movie or community theater production or just another boring day at the office.❤❤❤

I just saw the movie about a week ago, and I was delighted by the story of the UW rowers (I'm from Seattle!) and how much love and dedication had clearly been put into the movie by the whole group. Jack was the real standout for me, especially in that tense last quarter of the film, but they were all great!
