I love your energy! You have to explore more Bowie - so many different sounds. Let's Dance, Changes, Hallo Spaceboy, Ziggy Stardust, I'm Afraid of Americans, Lazarus. Feeling funky, give Fame a listen to - literally, there are 100s of more Bowie songs. Enjoy the ride!
For a German, you should know that this song is from Bowie’s Berlin period. The song is about a couple in love and seeking to escape to be united over the Berlin Wall. Bowie was inspired by an actual event on the wall whilst he was living there. - “Inspired by the sight of Bowie's producer-engineer Tony Visconti embracing his lover by the Berlin Wall, the song tells the story of two lovers, one from East and one from West Berlin. Bowie's performance of "'Heroes'" on 6 June 1987, at the German Reichstag in West Berlin has been considered a catalyst to the later fall of the Berlin Wall.[2][3][4] Following his death in January 2016, the German government thanked Bowie for "helping to bring down the Wall", adding "you are now among Heroes" -Wikipedia.
Well said.
Got it, never forgot it
Great reaction.. I love the vibe.
Fyi, David's idol growing up was Little Richard.
I'm so lucky to see Bowie 3 times live and he is my all time favorite. But - now I've found a new singer who is mind blowing. So please react to Dimash Kudaibergen singing "Ogni Pietra" the fancam version and his performance at the singer competition 2017 "Adagio". This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. Never heard a male singer with such a range and smooth in the voice. All the best from Germany 🇩🇪 and stay safe ☀️Petra
I love David Bowie♥️
Great reaction :) Check out Fame, Let's Dance and Golden Years from him
David Bowie was the British Elvis. Everyone loves that man. He was genius level 💯
both born on Jan the 8th
He was not a British Elvis. Bowie was Bowie. He wrote his own songs, produced other people’s, played a multitude of instruments and mastered a range of musical genres. And that is only talking about his talent as a musician.
He was taught Art by Peter Frampton's Dad and was in Peter's Art School class :)
Bowie wrote 'Golden Years' for Elvis to record, unfortunately he passed before he could
David's career spanned over 50 years. During that time he kept reinventing himself so he never got stale. RIP David
We didn't deserve David Bowie... he tried to warn us in 73...
My favorite Bowie song, especially when you know what it's about. Miss him. 😪
This man will be forever missed: A clever, gentle, and upper music leveled man!
There's a reason I say Bowie was the greatest songwriter and vocalist of at least the 20th century; and perhaps the 21st as well. He was no one's fool, and every outsider's champion.
Thanks for reacting to this great live performance. Another one I personally really like is his live performance of 'This is Not America.' It's got a jazz vibe to it and I think his vocal is fantastic. Here is the link if you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/cUliUWMrMZA/видео.html
Special performance in Berlin, of a song about the Berlin Wall.
"I felt that" best line I've heard at a concert
I know how great the original recording of "Heroes" is, no argument on that. But, I love how, later in his career, he decided to kind of do a remix arrangement of it. The way it starts low key, then keeps adding in layers just sweeps you up in it's momentum. Pretty powerful stuff.
you should look into the remixes that have been done with this as well. some very talented interpretations out there.
I like you and have Subscribed as that was a really good and respectful and enjoyable reaction, my friend.
Good Luck !
I luv Bowie, one of my favorite movies is The Labyrinth where he plays the Goblin King & the soundtrack…Underground,Magic Dance,As The World Falls Down,Within You…all amazing songs by him,he had so so many great songs…Fame,Young Americans,China Girl,Win,Under Pressure that he did with Freddie Mercury from Queen,Lets Dance,Life On Mars,Space Oddity,Rebel Rebel,Changes,It Ain’t Easy,Fashion,Golden Years,Starman,Here Comes The Night & many many more!!
EJAY PJ, How the hell are you? I'm new to your channel. 73 year old dude in northern Michigan. I wish you well.
That was great. Are you in Germany mate? if so, do yourself a favour and drop by the Hansa studios.
Berlin. Maybe your somewhereelse.StationtoStation.
RIP. Bowie changed everything.
Broke boundaries and gender stereotypes.
David Bowie and Mick Ronson taken from us far too soon. A great song to react to.
I have heard this song a hundred times, and I think you hit the nail on the head, it's 'the beat'. Somehow in his genius he found the 'Perfect Beat'. Instant sing-a-long! Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhh, just for one day! Ohhhh...
Best reaction to this song mate. Yes the beat is awesome. God bless you and pray god will help us all in late 22.
I come back and watch this every now and then because it brings me joy. Thank you.
The only artist I'd put up with Freddie Mercury. Definitely check out 'Under Pressure', an unplanned collaborationfrom Bowie and Queen, that came from an accidental meeting at a recording studio. Sadly, they were never able to get together to do a live show, but the studio version is great, and there's a tribute version put together from live clips after Freddie died.
Try welcome to the pleasure dome frankie goes to Hollywood
Heard you. His beats are sampled by EVERYONE.
LIVE. No auto tune just perfection.
Great reaction
The problem with autotune is it takes all the personality out of peoples voices and so many sound the same with that synthetic nasal twang.
THIS song is a ROCK Classic! Released in 1977!! It will still listened to 100 years from now
Think about if every person tried to be a hero for one person!
I LOVED your reaction.
The Berlin-Song 👍
