  • Hope for Healing is back for another FREE live session! Dr. John Stracks is joined by one of his former patients, Jodie Prado.
Jodie suffered chronic pain for over 15 years and ultimately couldn't walk for even a few steps at a time. Her pain forced her to abandon both her job as a personal trainer and her active lifestyle as a fitness competitor.
After years of dealing with chronic pain and not finding a solution through alternative medical help, Jodie stumbled upon Dr. Stracks and overcame her pain using mind-body techniques.

God Bless you Jodie for sharing your story! You are so brave and an inspiration! If you can get better after everything you went through for so long, I know that I can. Thank you for saying that your recovery was gradual. Thank you Dr. Stracks for interviewing Jodie and for this Hope for Healing platform. It is so helpful to hear other's stories!

This is me!! Everything Jodie explained about she what she went through is exactly what I am going through. I am so overwhelmed and wish I could have a Doctor like Dr. John Stracks but most doctors who do mind body practice do not accept insurance and I do not have the funds to get this help. I have been trying to do the curable app on my own but I feel so stuck and am not getting anywhere. I appreciate hearing all this, but I don't know how to break out of this cycle of pain on my own.

I felt all alone also until VERY recently.
I actually happened across a video where a Dr. was being interviewed about TMS. He mentioned he was employed by my insurance Co. but in a distant location...I managed to jump through hoops and have him for my Dr. but to tell you the truth...the only thing that's really changed in my recovery is KNOWING that my Dr. knows what I need him to know...that does give me confidence but everything you'll find here on RUclips and in all the TMS books is really what we need. Even though I have a TMS Dr. I'm still here looking for help.
Please don't feel like you're missing out on healing because you don't have a TMS Dr.
If you'd like, I can email you and let you know as I go what he's got me doing.

What a great story! Thank you for sharing it. I too love Steve Ozanich's book The Great Pain Deception, I felt it was written just for me! I'm in the process of healing from lifelong TMS/PPD (I'm 65 now) since august 2019. Mostly on my own, using the online resources because there is not a lot of understanding of this syndrome in The Netherlands where I live. I'm making progress and it's nice to hear a "slow" recovery story. The miracles after reading three chapters of this or any other book on TMS/PPD (and I've seen it happen to someone close to me) are quite frustrating. "Why not me, what can I do better", you can tell to what negative conclusions these thoughts lead. Anyway, there are days that I can just say Hello! to my symptoms. And that is really miraculous

I relate to so much in this story. I've had CRPS for 4 years and it's been very slow progress but progress nonetheless. It's hard to hear those sudden success stories, but there has undoubtedly been those small milestones. If I'd had that amount of progress in two years I'd be over the moon! But I still have faith I'll keep improving.

I can't imagine having my feet in stirrups up there in the air for everyone to bump into with CRPS pain AND push a baby out!!!🤦‍♀️😵🤯 Bless you!❤
I'm in recovery from CRPS. I'm approaching 6 years in, 5 years on a knee scooter but learning to walk again currently. (And I already knew about Dr. Sarno!!!)🙄

Dealing with erythromelalgia like symptoms myself (no diagnosis) and a little disappointed its disappearance for Jodie wasn't a direct part of her mindbody journey but 😭 it still could be for me i suppose

Go to the PPD Association website and select practitioners.
