If there was ever a lesson on how to conduct an interview with a hardcore unassuming TT legend, Mr Whitham nailed it. Absolutely fantastic insight
Hutchy is a legend and has nothing to prove, take it easy son
Such an interesting character hutchy. Softly spoken but an absolute worrier of a man. Really opens up here. Good interview lads .
this is the most cheerful and relaxed I've seen Hutchy. He's going to have a great TT! I can't wait!
That was a real treat. Thank you James and Ian.
What a great thing it would be to see Ian win again, but regardless, I would always consider Ian Hutchinson to be an all time great.
Brilliant interview and can’t wait to read the new book
One of the best interviews i have ever seen - we are so lucky to have had that generation of mcginness hutchy johnson martin dunlop harrison et al all so different but all amazing characters. And of course the legendary whitham to chat with them.
Absolute super Hero.
Both you guys are inspiring what you’ve been through.
Thank you for the great times and may it continue.
Class act, a joy to watch best wishes for a safe successful TT
Top rider, up there with the best, a TT Icon, he is back, great dedication and vision, all the best Hutchy for IOMTT 2024.
Love Hutchy , dont be deceived by the calm persona , ultra competitive and means business , hope he does well 👏👏
Really good lad, love to see him back winning TT’s 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What a fantastic personal in depth conversation with a TT legend! Thank you both and all the best Hutchy for this year's TT!!
Wow wow how good was that the passion to overcome adversity
Very impressive
I’ve loved James since the 80s great rider, super nice bloke and now a fabulous interviewer. Great questions, you can see he’s genuinely interested and he allows the guests to talk openly.
A lesson for all interviewers especially Bennett’s bike social question ‘have you anything to prove’ if I was Ian I’d have said ‘what do you think and what have you ever achieved’
I’ve been a biker since 1977 & I’ve a biomedical training and career in pharmaceutical R&D. TT is the highlight of my sporting year. Obviously, Hutchy is a hero to so many of us.
Regret to say it’s quite likely that Hutchy’s stroke is a result of c19 arm spears.
Strokes are uncommon in fit non-smokers with excellent BMI. You can never say impossible but it’s really not expected & in any case, it must have had a cause. I’ve no information about arm spear requirements for Spain a few years back.
My prayers for Ian this year. He deserves a break.
Great interview nice to see hutchy back good luck
Both top top men 🤗
great interview
You are a hero hutchi. Good luck for the tt. ××××××
fantastic
Anything is possible once Hutchy sets his mind too it.
What a legend💪🏻
Love this guy Would love it even if he could get on the Podium for all the shit he has Gone through.
As ever james. brillaint episode.
Brilliant honest interview and such a top pair of lads 👌
All the very best Ian.
Is it just me that wants to put my arm around Hutchy and give him a big hug?
True grit hope you have a good TT.
Love Hutchy ❤️
Love hutchy. Such a good guy and some hideous luck, poor bloke. Whit as ever is a star! All that said that bloody kitchen unit with no end panel and no return on the pelmet is doing my head in!!!
😂
Great interview.. Better than that one a day or two ago with that guy off TT podcast
Best luck at TT Ian👍🏴
Great interview but had to wear my headphones backwards.
Toughest man on the planet
Brilliant interview. What a lesson in never giving up
Big fan..... but IMO Hutchinson needs to retire... he's no longer 'competitive' .. over the last several years he has been given top teir racing motorcycles from top teir teams and squandered these rides due to his health issues ... while other younger healthier riders w/ great futures, are passed up .. which is a darn shame.. I get it, he wants to compete, bring back the old days of winning.. but thats not going to happen. He's selfish ..
Selfish?! 😂😂😂😂! You can’t even literally WATCH his wounds and what he went through ye clown 🤪🫵🏼🫣🤡🤡🤡🤡🤮🤮🤮🤮
Would that not be a discussion for team owners?
You could say that about many of the riders on the grid, be it due to health issues or whether they have a realistic chance of winning, but if they want to ride, have the ability to ride and the vast majority of the fans want to see them ride, then I think they should ride.
Great interview, cant wait for the book
