- Tyrin Turner on how he tried to ruin the movie "Belly" after Hype Williams lied to him and told him he will get the lead role but ended up giving it to DMX.
Eating a banana aggressively to ruin the character and it becomes iconic instead is ironically hilarious 😂😂😂
Bruh big facts!!! That shit was legit master class shit.
Top 5 Belly moment that sticks out.
LENGENDARY HILARIOUS AT BEST!!!
Wow I just realized that it was him in belly. "I don't like that sht" lol
U kan tell he didn’t have a script… he just said what he felt during filming😂
He played that role so good didn't even know it was him for years
I didn't know until this interview. What a moron.
The way he described X is probably the best way I’ve heard it in a interview. Dude was mad solid.
Yep and I was actually around him before at his height too and the man was extremely humbled and nice to all of us regular folks..
@@jasonallen3678 What made him irregular? Sold my soul to the devil and the price was cheap. Huh?
I think he was basically saying Pac was charismatic and X was more stoic

Damn bro the way he broke down the difference between Pac and X is the best description I’ve heard 💯🙏🏼
Frfr
I actually never heard someone compare the 2 in such a way. It was kind of prolific
Took him a minute to land the plane but he broke it down perfectly
It wasnt rocket science
I always felt pac and DMX had the similar essence. The difference in the two Pac loved with compassion and DMX loved with aggression. Pac pulled people in with his words and DMX pulled people in with his action. I even heard DMX say that he seen himself in pac. But the only difference with him and pac was that pac was to accepting of people. DMX say he would have never been moving with dudes he just met like that.... because only people that know you and truly love you will protect you. Because if they truly loved pac, pac wouldn't have been out like that wideeee open to be touched.
I think Tyrin was trying to say Pac had a certain refinement and polishing. Where DMX stayed gritty. Pac was a rose through the concrete. Dmx was a Diamond in the Rough.
Perfect
Simply Beautiful
Great way to put it. PAC was just more charismatic.
Notice he was mad for the same reasons Pac was mad at playing a muslim in the hood on M2S

Lol I personally feel like Pac wanted Tyrin's character in the movie "Menace" personally because of the chemistry Tyrin had with Jada in the movie plus Tyrin's character was a banger dude and that's what Pac was about plus he played that Gangsta character great in the movie Juice. Now Tyrin might've taken the Kane character from Pac and played it too well but we all know Pac would've also bodied that Character! Years later Tommy character meant for Tyrin is taken by DMX! Considering what Tyrin did with the Kane character we all know he also would've bodied the Tommy character but DMX also played it too damn well plus it was his first film.
That “Belly” role was made for X- no one could’ve done it better. TT played his role fantastic also but I always wished his role was longer- ✊🏽

The way he is eating that banana with the pieces all on his lips was absolutely classic. He made that role iconic by being over the top. That character is definitely one people always remember from that movie. Funny how your intention to ruin a movie ends up creating a role that people always quote or pay homage to.

So now can he say that when things didn't go his way in a film, he was immature? He didn't beat up Hype Williams, but he still wasn't professional. It just worked out for him.
DMX and 2Pac are definitely polar opposites. They both had emotional attachments, that's why their death was the most impactful. Pac brought emotionally attachment by his poetic words and creativity to define black struggle. DMX brought an emotional attachment by reminding you of your faith and reaching your spiritual awakening by preaching the words of God. That's why everytime you were at his shows and he ended it with a prayer, you were in tears constantly due to his passion, voice, and realness. Both Pac and X were very important to the culture and what I loved about X, is no matter how hard people tried to compare him to Pac, he always let them know that "I'm the first X." Real shit. Rest in peace to both of those legends, hip hop feels so empty without them🌹🌹🌹✝️🙌🙌🙌

Only if we got a song from DMX & 2Pac !
They both were great in dear own right. But 2pac was more introspective and Compelling. Dmx didn't ave Dat he was struggling with substance addiction and had a rough upbringing. Suffered abuse and trauma. So his music reflected those hurts and abuse but all so gritty hardcore reality. With Tupac he comes from a family of freedom fighters and revolutionist (real Gangsters) so that rebellion introspective spirit was born into him. That's mainly WHY he was so intelligent brave, compelling, multi dimensional as a being and music artist. Two totally different background and energy these two great artists had.
seriously, that was probably the most memorable character in the movie doe
Seriously the banana scene has been one of my favorite movie scenes of all time instantly.

HOW HE GOES INTO MESSING UP A MOVIE THEN THE BEHAVIOR TURNS INTO A EPIDEMIC SCENE AND CHARACTER THAT WILL GOES INTO HISTORY.
They definitely were a lot alike but so different at the same time... One of the main reasons is probably the relationships they had with their Mother's..((even as a crack fiend momma!!)) Pac's Mother loved on him and put all of her soul into him teaching him life love, etc.. She was Revolutionary, Black Panther's etc.... DMX's Mom gave him away , abused him etc... Both came up poor but it's totally different when u got a Mother to Love on U.

They met on a couple of occasions once at DR when ruff ryders was were I'm talks of a distribution deal and another time at HOB. It was just small interactions both times.
