I do my Husband’s arrangements for the vases at the cemetery too. He died last year. I feel like it allows me to still do something special for him. Even though I know he is in Heaven and doesn’t care about the flowers. It just helps me to cope. Your arrangements are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
You say you're not a professional this is just the way you do things. The video I think was done very professionally. You talk very clearly and you cover every aspect of the whole thing for people who have no idea what they're doing I mean that wouldn't be me but for people who don't like my sisters. And I did share this to my sister's you did an excellent and very professional video. I look forward to seeing what else you do. Thank you. Kathy riddle of bradner Ohio
Wow thank you so much for a thoughtful and thorough tutorial. I’ve spent a lot of money and time trying to recreate many of the “professional” or for purchase arrangements I’ve come across, but was never really pleased with my work. Like you, I prefer to make them myself as a tribute for my mom. Your instructions helped with so many of my mistakes and questions, thank you again for sharing.
Most beautiful arrangement! I spray a light coat of KIWI Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellent on my Mama's/Dad's arrangements. I have found it by the shoe cleaning supplies or camping/sports section of Walmart. I have also used Max Hold type hairspray. My arrangements keep longer. 🙏
@@mywidowedheart You are most welcome. Before Mama passed, she showed me how to hide the foam with a little bit of moss glued to it. She would buy it at either Walmart or the Dollar Tree, as it was less expensive. 🙏
Really beautiful! Thank you so very much. I needed to learn how to make vases for graves. Awesome video! I am hoping to follow your pattern. Can you tell me where to go to buy that special foam goes in vase?
Thank you! Glad you like it. You should be able to find the foam for the vase at craft stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joann etc., or maybe the craft section at Walmart. Old Time Pottery usually has them as well.
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial - so helpful - and so pretty too! I'm having trouble with my Mom's flowers. The foam does not stay in the vase when it rains - it gets filled with water. Any idea what I can use to keep the foam from doing this?
Sorry you're having trouble with your mom's flowers not staying in the vase when it rains. My foam tends to be really tightly in the vase and it doesn't come out with wind or rain. Some water gets in the vase but the foam doesn't start floating around. Do you have a lot of space in between foam and vase? Could you add something, like extra foam or even some sticks perhaps to make it a tighter fit? (I had to use some sticks in between before when my foam didn't fit right.) Could you try a different size/shape foam insert next time? I think it's all about creating a really tight fit, at least that seems to work for me. Maybe someone else here has another idea for you to hopefully solve this problem. Let us know what ended up working for you. Hugs, Daisy
@@mywidowedheart thank you so much for your reply! I’ll work on it and see what I can figure out. I live 2 hours from the cemetery- I’ll be down next week and plan on fixing up the flowers - your video was such an inspiration!
