You can actually manualy controll odie by using his ultimate on manual, odies ai always attacks poisoned targets so he will attack whoever you use your ultimate on. This was very usefull for me at the final push to 1125. I used the ultimate to take out enemy backline or dangerous units in general early in the fight to get the upper hand (enemy mirael, viperion, marilee, etc.). I hope this helps.
I think if ur confident that upgrading marilee is going to increase ur dreamrealm rank or maintain a rank u want to be , investing in her would benefit ur account more. But when shes not the sole difference to boost ur scores in a meaningfull way then investing in odie would be better since he is more universal usabel
Since the season thing seem to require pushing once more i really think people overvaluing niche characters is a mistake. Odie is pure beastmode and his supream is actually a very noticeable change to how he works unlike a lot of them.
Out of all the A Ranks that are meta rn in dream realm I think the one that'll stay more relevant with time is Korin, he's tanky, movile and with his weapon upgraded can deal true damage on a low cooldown, and since he's longer range than most tanks/tanky warriors, he acts like a sort of utility support for them as well giving them shields.
I think its a good call on investing in marilee since as a f2p ur temporal essence is limited, staying competitive in bossing should be a priority over content that you will eventually push
You would be surprised 99% of abyss pushing is having odie and manually targeting his ults, it's actually fairly easy until you start reaching rounds like this, like literally just cram two tanks, two healers and an odie into almost any level and you will breeze through it until enemies start literally 1 shotting stuff, I would say most accounts that follow recommendations and have odie ex 10+ at the end of afk stages can push surprisingly far into the abyss solely off of odies power, less about whaling and more about odie being insane in abyss, though obviously the whales will get further faster, but they are all using odie as well so as long as your odie is your focus and keeps up you will have fairly similar pushing power. Also like 90% of your damage is from starshard lol.
for odie i dunno, depend how much you want to invest in him, but if you start to invest in him you have to : - at least get up to +10 - often use manual to select who to snipe. But yeah for boss he isn't the best dps, thought he is quite useful, but need lot of investment and a f2p may more focus on heroes that are for mode that give great rewards (like dream realm)
Agreed. With that being said he is top tier when pushing AFK stages, so I'd still invest on him first over Marilee (doing exactly what you said; +10 and manually sniping when necessary).
I have been using m+ odie for a month now and here some tip to pull his full potential. 1. In pve he shines in a stall team like 2 tank, smoky, flex spot (either koko for def and rowan for fast ult) then finally odie. You want here is to have odie damage everyone with his ult while him staying alive. This process can be faster in ex 10 because he get an energy at the start of the match for faster ult. In pvp with preferably an ex +5 or +10 you can counter cecei team comps by switching places with rowan with odie using reiner this is a good strategy because not only can you target cecei before she ults you can denied the enemy faster ult because rowan is in the other side of the map

You just need to protect him with some tanks and healer, he then pops off everyone faster. Yeah i think he is kinda worth, but if you have to get all the 20 copies from the dream realm shop to make odie S+, then its probably worth getting marilie to mythic+ first
I also just removed Odie from my wishlist last night! Got my Odie from Mythic to Supreme in one swoop, so I replaced him with Kruger. Once I get Koko to Mythic+, I'll swap her for Antandra. Good stuff!

Word of caution for Antandra, if you level up her weapon and he is not jumping to the weakest ally this can sometimes screw up clears as she will jump to your brutus to shield them when he is low health, this can then have her stop tanking a different threat on the board and leave your back line open!

Personnally I kept Odie on my wishlist. I bought some copies of Atandra to raise her until legendary. To be honest, Atandra doesn't need more at the moment, I already completely cleared AFK. I'm now at 1 copy of getting S+ Odie Yes you need Ex+10 to overpower Cecia by far, then you'll want to pair him with Rowan and you'll get your 1st ult so fast, it'll be much easier to decimate opponent team and using manual mode for Odie will be the key to kill enemies in the right order
Something I would like to add is as you’re at a reasonably stable place you can probably start using gems for tidal essence meaning u can get both odie and Marilee to +10
also something to keep in mind is that we're all getting 1 copy of every character in the game so it'd be smart to get at least 1 more copy of an epic character when they're at supreme and then you can remove them from the wish list since you will get the last one at some point from the log in event.
I finally got Odie to Supreme with some lucky pulls and buying from Emporium. He’s been pretty fun in PVE. Haven’t tried him in PVP. I also swapped to Antandra cuz I really want a second tank at higher tier to help out with some AFK stages and PVP.
One thing to keep in mind: I wouldn't go above Supreme+ except for pivotal chars like Odie. The devs can release a patch and make a char without any investment insane.
The best meta a tier heros both maulers. They want us to waste all our resources on them, so we have none for the new brawlers they're adding in season 1. It's no coincidence.
I don’t think Odie vs Marilee is an easy decision. Marilee is more significant for dream realm and, imo, that’s enough to make her more of a priority. That being said, Odie is a requirement if you want to push the first 300 floors of trial of abyss and get the rewards as early as possible. Getting those upgrade materials earlier may result in enough of an edge to make him more important.
Volkin love your content man but you gotta do some work on your positioning skills. You gotta place your team far back, protect odie and koko with Antandra, Smokey and Rowan stall team. Brutus as needed. Ceci optional. Antandra is a star. Faction bonus, stands still, damage reduction, taunt, knockback; you sit back in your lil corner with koko buff and let Odie do his thang. Apologies for the vitriol. It's just that we gotta teach ppl that UNGA BUNGA Thoran is not the way to get top clears. ALL the top clears use Antandra.

As F2P it's way better to get Odie + Marilee + Korin to M+ THEN start working their way to S+. That way you get more value out of your already limited resources.

odie helps you push afk stage faster = more dust to lvl up faster. and odie is good for bosses as well. Marilee good for bosses only for now. doesn't help much in finishing afkstage that much as f2p.

I don't see the point of building up kruger right now. The best realm damage dealers are marilee (true damage) and odie (magic damage) and only thoran increases both of them while kruger doesn't increase either of their damage. You would need two physical damage carries to come out that are better than odie and marilee before kruger becomes relevant.
I got Odie to Mythic+ while my Marilee was still Legendary+, so i got Odie to +10 asap Also, Odie's damage in the statistics after battle doesn't take the execute into account.

If I've only bought Noble Path, am I still F2P? Currently at Resonance 220, AFK 1006 and 2 Supremes (Vala and Florabelle). Florabelle has been great for Story/AFK and bosses. Vala has been great for Arena and even some bosses. About to get Antandra to Supreme, just one dream realm purchase away
Most people who talk about F2P are referring to people who still have their first purchase icon in the top left corner. I've seen people say a light spender is under $100, a dolphin is under $1000, and a whale is anything above that. People tend to not agree on the lines, and F2P warriors tend to be the most judgmental about everything. Consider yourself whatever you are comfortable with. If you pay attention to guides, F2P advice is the same as low spender advice because you don't actually have enough of an advantage to realistically change anything; even though technically you do have an advantage over people who never bought anything. Don't beat yourself up about what category you fall into because even in the F2P spectrum we have a lot of variance.. how often you pull non pity units, how meta your frequent pulls are, if you started on the same day of server creation or next day, if you made it into a whale guild for extra rewards and early corruption help.. ect. On my server my giga whales are happy to talk to me even though I am F2P because I do my research and just enjoy talking about the game, and we share experiences. So if this is a social concern just know that how you carry yourself is more important than the imaginary walls we put around different players spending habits, including your own. Just don't go on reddit and post proof you've spent and claim you've never spent and try to start a war vs. spenders, or something silly like that and you'll be fine.
Your max level after hitting 240 is determined by the number of Supreme+ units you have. So don't keep everyone below Supreme+ or you will hit a very weird self created wall at the end. 😂
It's not like odie isn't also effective against dream realm bosses. If anything I end up killing dream realm bosses better with him on my team because his execute works on them as well, even without his ex +10 weapon, and they die with still 2 or 3 full health bars left. So it's not like you NEED marilee for dream realm, she's just nice to have. I was able to get to unlimited mode recently on dream realm with thoran, odie, cecia, smokie and koko with no issues without even being at lvl 170 resonance. Getting odie his ex +10 weapon will just make that even faster and might just straight up replace my cecia in most fights where there are enemies that heal constantly or have very tanky hp pools.

Just getting to endless mode at all is good for most players on a server, at least at the start of a new server for a while until the server has been around long enough for everyone to start maxing out their resonance levels and get a bunch of heroes to mythic and supreme. We have a ton of whales on the server I am in and I'm still in the top 80 when it comes to dream realm bossing without marilee. Was just saying that prior to endless mode if you are trying to push content Odie works just as well.

Well for me, literally i pulled marilee 4 or 5 times on the epic recruitment(5copies), i traded 15copies of odie and 2 copies of marilee from shop, and im still 1 off odie from m+, my marilee is sup with 7 copies, games just wanna make me invest in marilee so im just gonna yolo my gold temporal essence for her till +10(+9 now) at least for now, might not care about odie for bossing and use vala(s+)/cecia(s+) instead. And kruger is phy def drop so odie isnt good with him since odie is magic dmg
Smokey falls off pretty hard. The only place where people use Smokey is only for certain Dream Realm boss. For everywhere else he can be swapped for another dps. I reached Abyss 265 so far and never used Smokey even though he's at S+ sadly.
Myth+/Supreme is good enough if you're f2p. I feel like Carolina is better anyway since she's more flexible attack/defense in case of PvP and I think she'll stand the test of time better than Cecia will.

Once you reach trial of abyss, you will want odie to be as strong as possible to kill the biggest threat asap. You also need Smokey and Antandra as strong as possible to deal with the enemy.

Antandra is a mistake here. Krauger is essential in most endgame DR teams as well as boss teams in battledrills. Antandra is great but shes only for afk stage pushing and not much else
My reasoning for picking antandra over odie (antandra is 1 copy away from m and odie is supreme) is because i'm convinced she's still important for trail of abyss and def will be as useful for the new season (same reason I'm building brutus after smokey is s+ after my last copy)
my problem with leveling brutus is that i don't feel it's useful. I mean once his shield wear off he dies or not doesn't matter. The only use of brutus over another tank is because of the invulnerability shield that let you build energy and dispose of the most dangerous enemy. brutus without his shield isn't a good tank. Antandra thought is amazing, definetly worth building her.

Shakir is in the list and then smokey, but smokey is 1 copy away from s+ so after that i have no one else to upgrade cus the other s-rank maulers aren't worth it imo.

It seems that your level has a bigger influence on damage than upgrading them. I can get to top 50 now lvl 249

I got odie to supreme+ he’s my only one and he prettt much was a hack through all of levels 950 and up and still is in the abyss I love that guy

As F2P it's way better to get Odie + Marilee + Korin to M+ THEN start working their way to S+. That way you get more value out of your already limited resources.
Although I have to say that dropping him for Antrandra is crazy talk. Either drop Odie for Kruger or don't even touch the wish list.

I also just finished my first supreme today and it ended up being Smokey & Meerky! So my game plan moving forward is to throw in Rhys for the normal banner and then I actually put in Marilee in his spot in the Epic wishlist solely because she’s about 14 copies to mythic+ and I don’t want to wait for the copies just from the dream realm currency.

odie helps you push afk stage faster = more dust to lvl up faster. and odie is good for bosses as well. Marilee good for bosses only for now. doesn't help much in finishing afkstage that much as f2p.
I got Temesia to mythic plus so I’m replacing her with Rowan. In time when I get Cecia to mythic plus she’s off the list and Carolina takes her place.
In some stage where cecia don't work,odie work, in some stage where odie don't work , cecia work, so no point comparing damage.

This isnt smokey bad video. This is maulers have so many units to build and key functionality is gained from M+ not S+
I don't see the point of building up kruger right now. The best realm damage dealers are marilee (true damage) and odie (magic damage) and only thoran increases both of them while kruger doesn't increase either of their damage. You would need two physical damage carries to come out that are better than odie and marilee before kruger becomes relevant.

I got Odie to Mythic+ while my Marilee was still Legendary+, so i got Odie to +10 asap
Also, Odie's damage in the statistics after battle doesn't take the execute into account.

If I've only bought Noble Path, am I still F2P? Currently at Resonance 220, AFK 1006 and 2 Supremes (Vala and Florabelle). Florabelle has been great for Story/AFK and bosses. Vala has been great for Arena and even some bosses.

Most people who talk about F2P are referring to people who still have their first purchase icon in the top left corner. I've seen people say a light spender is under $100, a dolphin is under $1000, and a whale is anything above that. People tend to not agree on the lines, and F2P warriors tend to be the most judgmental about everything.
Consider yourself whatever you are comfortable with. If you pay attention to guides, F2P advice is the same as low spender advice because you don't actually have enough of an advantage to realistically change anything; even though technically you do have an advantage over people who never bought anything. Don't beat yourself up about what category you fall into because even in the F2P spectrum we have a lot of variance.. how often you pull non pity units, how meta your frequent pulls are, if you started on the same day of server creation or next day, if you made it into a whale guild for extra rewards and early corruption help.. ect.
On my server my giga whales are happy to talk to me even though I am F2P because I do my research and just enjoy talking about the game, and we share experiences. So if this is a social concern just know that how you carry yourself is more important than the imaginary walls we put around different players spending habits, including your own. Just don't go on reddit and post proof you've spent and claim you've never spent and try to start a war vs. spenders, or something silly like that and you'll be fine.
Your max level after hitting 240 is determined by the number of Supreme+ units you have. So don't keep everyone below Supreme+ or you will hit a very weird self created wall at the end. 😂
It's not like odie isn't also effective against dream realm bosses. If anything I end up killing dream realm bosses better with him on my team because his execute works on them as well, even without his ex +10 weapon, and they die with still 2 or 3 full health bars left.
So it's not like you NEED marilee for dream realm, she's just nice to have. I was able to get to unlimited mode recently on dream realm with thoran, odie, cecia, smokie and koko with no issues without even being at lvl 170 resonance.
Getting odie his ex +10 weapon will just make that even faster and might just straight up replace my cecia in most fights where there are enemies that heal constantly or have very tanky hp pools.
Dream realm bosses don't die on endless tho
@@villageflorist True, but you don't really need them to in order to be in the top ranks. Just getting to endless mode at all is good for most players on a server, at least at the start of a new server for a while until the server has been around long enough for everyone to start maxing out their resonance levels and get a bunch of heroes to mythic and supreme.
We have a ton of whales on the server I am in and I'm still in the top 80 when it comes to dream realm bossing without marilee.
Was just saying that prior to endless mode if you are trying to push content Odie works just as well.

Well for me, literally i pulled marilee 4 or 5 times on the epic recruitment(5copies), i traded 15copies of odie and 2 copies of marilee from shop, and im still 1 off odie from m+, my marilee is sup with 7 copies, games just wanna make me invest in marilee so im just gonna yolo my gold temporal essence for her till +10(+9 now) at least for now, might not care about odie for bossing and use vala(s+)/cecia(s+) instead. And kruger is phy def drop so odie isnt good with him since odie is magic dmg
My mistakes was focussing on pushing hero like aantandra, koko too much, i think dream realm ranking is too important
Smokey falls off pretty hard. The only place where people use Smokey is only for certain Dream Realm boss. For everywhere else he can be swapped for another dps. I reached Abyss 265 so far and never used Smokey even though he's at S+ sadly.
On the flipside I've used smokey in almost every abyss stage up to 200 so far!

Myth+/Supreme is good enough if you're f2p. I feel like Carolina is better anyway since she's more flexible attack/defense in case of PvP and I think she'll stand the test of time better than Cecia will.

Once you reach trial of abyss, you will want odie to be as strong as possible to kill the biggest threat asap. You also need Smokey and Antandra as strong as possible to deal with the enemy.

Antandra is a mistake here. Krauger is essential in most endgame DR teams as well as boss teams in battledrills.
Antandra is great but shes only for afk stage pushing and not much else

My reasoning for picking antandra over odie (antandra is 1 copy away from m and odie is supreme) is because i'm convinced she's still important for trail of abyss and def will be as useful for the new season (same reason I'm building brutus after smokey is s+ after my last copy)
my problem with leveling brutus is that i don't feel it's useful. I mean once his shield wear off he dies or not doesn't matter. The only use of brutus over another tank is because of the invulnerability shield that let you build energy and dispose of the most dangerous enemy. brutus without his shield isn't a good tank.
Antandra thought is amazing, definetly worth building her.

Shakir is in the list and then smokey, but smokey is 1 copy away from s+ so after that i have no one else to upgrade cus the other s-rank maulers aren't worth it imo.

There isnt a right answer coz there are too many variables to assume 1 right answer for all accounts. Eg, what will the seasons bring for us to prioritize, what other heroes will you pull before then and how many acorns will you have. I go through the logic and reasoning for my account to let you look at yours and see if it applies. If thats too hard for you then yeah, probs best to skip the video
