I do miss Ryan and Shane, but these new guys are really nice too! Well Done!
springheeled jack is my favourite strange story/cryptid. it's just so god damn bizzare. the most likely story is this is a rich dude who dressed up like a devil and parkoured across london pulling what he most likely saw as "pranks" and honestly, if thats the most realistic story, its still one hell of a story.
I really hope this story catches more people's imagination. Springheeled jack deserves to be widely known along with big foot and moth man.
I have no idea who or what it was. Alot of the eyewitness accounts stated that it was 7 feet tall, towering over people and many stated that it could leap on to the roofs of 3 story townhouses. The only two things that I can think of is that opium was really popular back then and that newspapers would pay people for interviews in a time where alot of people suffered from living in abject poverty so some of them may have intentionally made up stories to gain money in times of desperation.
Considering women were raped I don’t know if prank is the right wording. But could be a rich person who wanted to do crime and praying on poor women no one would really care. Or so he thought.
@@astrowolvez it was never explicit when it comes to jack, thats only a theory added on later. and if that theory holds true, jack was never involved witht hose actions, he was used as a way to explain the trauma.
@@samhirst2830 I've seen it and its wasnt a rich man
Mothman is mine but I was always been interested in Spring Healed Jack too.
his voice is amazing really soothing and puts me right in the story like im there!
Comparable to ryan
Puppy so cute :)
it's not Ryan yes it's not supposed to be Ryan
can we stop compairing everything to then that they did an amazing job with this video and his voice is sooo nice i agree
@4sH3_4tt4ck it's not Ryan's voice people tuned in for; it was his genuine excitement :)
RIP Ryan and the tall white one
@@mich.3ll3 it’s not even a patch on Ryan ,it’s an annoying voice and just hard to listen to
This was well done, guys. More of this, please. And I would definitely throw my dollars at some "Haunting History" merch.
Thanks!! And they pay us in merch, sooo.... 😂
Same!
Oh snap, where's Joseph Carvil?? He asked for a Spring-Heeled Jack episode about a thousand times in the comments... it finally happened bud!
Hey...sometimes we listen! 🙃
@@JamesTroupActor you have a great voice, keep it up!
I enjoyed the storys
The spring man got em.
RIP
He probably keeled over in happiness
Adore the narrators of this. Keep the great content coming :)
just for you! 🙃
Love your voices! The narration is just 🤌🤌🤌🤌
Grazie!
His voice is absolutely perfect for this
This channel's future is clouded in obscurity, but, this series is so good that it's been worth sticking around for- keep up the good work!
Well thank you! :)
Complementing professional narrators talking about mysteries. This feels good and makes for an excellent format.
The subject matter matches their voice tone and intonation. I hope Buzzfeed continues with this.
This is my new favorite. You are both killing it. So glad we're being treated to longer stories and getting a chance to see, as well as hear, both of you.
I heard the name of Springheel Jack in stephen king’s “strawberry spring” didn’t know it came from an entirely different story
I remember that story! Must find and read again... it was dark and haunting, but also had this oddly seductive air...
why do people read garbage?
@@cartoonhistory353 uh, for AP literature class lmao
@@cartoonhistory353 also, how do you know it’s garbage unless you’ve read it yourself, how are you gonna attack me for doing something you also did. and how are you going to attack people for… reading? lol
Yay thank you for doing this is amazing! 😄
Hahah I can't believe you finally got your episode!
@@ImSquiggs yep this was awesome! 😄
We got you!!!
This is so wholesome
@@josephcarvil9474 your efforts finally paid off!! We finally got the episode 😀😀
off topic but their voices are so relaxing
Even when we talk about murder? 🙃
Spring Heeled Jack.. Jack the Ripper.. why all the “Jack” nicknames in London?
London doesn't like jack
Jack represented the common man in 17th and 18th century England and gave rise to expressions like "Jack Tar" for sailors and "Jack the Lad" for someone who was a bit of a rogue or petty criminal.
It’s the jack of all trades i guess
Because there's way to many JOHN'S around and we All know what THEY are and do with Ladies of the night don't we NOW
We don't know Jack! 😉
At long last they finally did Spring Heeled Jack, thank you 😌
Finally i been hoping yall did this story 🙏
Yeay! Welcome back Mr. Narrator with the beautiful voice. Also, Hello Ms. Narrator with also a beautiful voice. I'm glad I finally saw the faces of those voices. 😁
Good to be back! - Mr Narrator 🙂
finally buzzfeed! love this duo
We love this duo too! 🙃
@@JamesTroupActor im a big fan of yours hahahaha.
My favorite mystery ever
Perhaps the devil and spring heeled jack are one in the same just a theory.
I could listen to both of them talk all day 🤌
The narrators for this segment are great. Easy listening while at work.
You guys definitely have the voices to do these videos without even really trying to sound spooky
James looks as cool as he sounds. Good video. Love the animation style. It's an interesting story.
Why thank you! Glad you enjoyed!🙃
This is one of my favorite stories! This and the smiling man creepypasta!
It's always nice to meet a fan :)
Why is it titled "of London"? the sightings were apparently all over England. I'm from Sheffield and there are urban legends about him here.
Being from Sheffield is such a flex
People also claimed to see Jack the Ripper in Crawley. Rumours I guess
@@breakmynose not really Sheffield united is barely a mid table team
@@jeffjeff4607 Sorry about that but it's still hometown to the best band
Josiah Lee@ What really? Please write and tell us these urban legends. I would be very happy about it. I really like Heeled Jack. Please.
Great video, well done. Thank you so much for keeping at it and putting together some really entertaining videos.
Love the narrators voices please keep coming back! also never heard this story but now I'm glad i did! :)
We got you! - James, “The Narrator” 🙃”
2:25 Business owners were not considered upper class in Victorian England, not unless they had an upper class background. A rich businessman would be seen as middle class (or even working class) no matter how rich he was. The true upper class was the landed gentry and the aristocracy. This only began to change in the 1980s.
"During the Industrial Revolution, many members of the working class had to work long hours to survive"
Yeah, and for all of history before the Industrial Revolution...
Spring Heeled Jack really was just in a silly, goofy mood.
But this is awesome! I learned about Jack from the old ITV Jekyll and Hyde show (he was one of the monsters), but i never knew a lot about him. I think hes one of my favourites now.
*Joseph Carvil approves this video*
J Sanemi yep! 😄
I really love the Lemon Demon song, and it’s really interesting to learn more about the impact Spring Heeled Jack had on people, good and bad.
so before jack the ripper, there was this guy?
@Ruben Avila yep! 😄
As it was getting darker Spring heeled Jack was walking home with a woman she said "I am scared". He said "you're scared i am the one who has to walk home alone" .
Last Podcast On The Left does a great job covering Springhill Jack. This is a little more in-depth. It’s cool yo
Slippity-slap, and away I goooo!
@@LivyRivy hahaha 😭😭😭
It’s one of my favorite episodes. Slippity slap yo.
Thumbs up for the correct pronunciation of Pérák, especially from the lady.

Oml 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 voices are awesome, I want more 💕
Me too! 🙃

@@beansandbandaids8667 it's just a comment,
I started to become fascinated with this London urban legend due to its inclusion in Terrordrome Reign of the Legends. The reimagining it as a man with prostethetic legs, tractable wrist blades and a mask that allows him breath fire.
And how this thing actually mightve been the original inspiration for BATMAN
I love this series! The voice actors are wonderful. I could listen to them for hours.
Whoa, don’t do that to your ears! 😂 - James, “The Narrator” 🙃”
@@JamesTroupActor I could fall asleep to your voice every night 🌃😴😊
Both of their voices are amazing. Great 👍 storytelling.
Looooove this series, the way you guys narrate the videos is really cool
Thanks Clare!! - James, “The Narrator” 🙃”
Pls don’t stop making these I just found them !!! Everybody that’s Craig about Ryan and Shane get it together, a new era is before us otherwise be accepting to change lol.

Loved this and both of the hosts voices
I love their voices!
Everyone: talking bout the video and jack
Me: isnt that guy the Dhar mann actor
🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
Never even knew this existed, awesome work people, love to watch more of these tales.
The narrator has the most amazing voice I've ever heard.
I remember reading a book many years ago here in the UK that described him as able to jump 20 feet into the air??
awesome stuff. Keep up these Haunting History videos.
that's true for today aswell. it's now impossible to say the "r word" in a youtube video, so people will say that instead or "assaulted" and other euphemisms
wow this was amazing!! love both of your voices!! more haunted stories please!!!!
Love these two hosts
WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE STORIES LIKE THIS THANK YOU
This was good stuff. Love some good supernatural history content!
You guys have fantastic voices for narration.
One of the Spring-Heeled Jack Penny Dreadfuls from 1899. Is called The Human Bat. There's a lot of things similar to Batman. But no real proof that Bob Kane ever read it. But the list of things he stole & plagiarized over the years is staggering. Apparently there's a Spring-heeled Jack story that takes place in the old west. I'll have to track that one down.
Very enjoyable! Thank you!
I missed you two SO MUCH!
We missed you back!!! - James, “The Narrator” 🙃”
184 years ago today that's crazy.
I’d love if James covered a David Attenborough documentary too!!
Dominique looks like Tommy from the Room. Oh hi Mark lmao 😂
Wow, that's just low! LOL
Spring heeled? Today we call that parkour lol
Mr. Troup, your voice is amazing. Ever recorded audiobooks?
Thank you, and no, I can't sit still for that long!! 😂
i love the narrator's voice..
Springheeled Jack once auditioned for a men's music group. Apparently he wasn't the Backstreet Boy they were after.
I prefer this dude over the other new people they have commentating. The lady with him as well.
This dude thanks you! I'm sure the lady with him does too. 🙃
thanks for this amazing content
I read about Spring heeled Jack, when I was a young boy, absolutely terrified me, throwing in that I lived in a Victorian house in England, not far from where he was last sighted, made it even more so!
NEW BUZZFEED VIDEO DROPPED
I'm just here for the comments!
This is a great series, thank you for the history lesson!
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates 🎈
I love his voice!
Fedt content 😊
This is amazing.
I read that he has appeared in the attercliffe area of sheffield in the 1970s, he was seen climbing up walls and jumping across the roofs of buildings where sheffield arena now known as utilita arena once stood to escape 2 police officers.
pleaae make more videos like this 🥺❤
He removed the cloak and said it is i the springie heel’d man
This why we dont answer the door anymore
Like an inverted angel
Damn this was really good. I read a book with a story about springheel jack when I was younger and it scared the crap out of me. I could barely sleep lol. It was that and then a story about some big foot creature they called jacko or something.
buzzfeed unsolved hoodie on
I miss the old BuzzFeed unsolved
Big Fan❤❤❤❤
The demon was just a yassified james charles that escaped from my basement pls return him
It seems like these people made up stories to get out of messy problems they were in. I love watching these videos they're funny😆
This is no demon. This is a man with an idea to spread fear for his own entertainment. A real demon wouldnt take the form of a superior strong being. It would more or less pose as one as weak as perhaps a 6 year old little girl.
now that shane and ryan are gone, there is a huge drop of viewers
Oh yay it finally happened
He’s also seen in Liverpool
Fun fact: In Primeval, Spring-Heeled Jack turns out to be a raptor.
I love how the class system has not changed hah. At least in America much.
I've seen it in Sheffield in Norfolk park It jumped a good 20 ft in the air into the trees was making a strange whistling noise
Man what if I had a cool voice like that?
New to the channel, guys ever did something on Albert Fish?👀
the initial jack could leap over walls and on houses where they located his footprints
