I promise if you are looking for a mid level item if you sort by exalts you will be able to trade for very good gear for relatively cheap right now as long as they respond which is another issue but it is what it is
The market problem. It's a on a browser is one of the problems. The second is the lack of a good crafting system that makes you use the lame market place to begin with.
I usually don't like saying this, but skill issue honestly. The browser lets you quickly filter and search for items to extreme detail, recreating something similar ingame is essentially impossible. As for crafting being bad, I kinda agree in the sense that there isn't even a fraction of the options and nuance to crafting as in poe1, but on the other hand there aren't that many mods you can roll on gear yet either so the crafting is actually appropriate for the current state of the game. The big advantage is how simple it is so anyone can do it, I've had no problems crafting multiple 10-30 div weapons with less than 1 div budget from white items from my maps and with rares from trade for example, despite never being a big crafter in poe1.
This is common knowledge in POE 1, but if people are asking they don't know this so your message is needed. You completely failed to mention the rotating dump tab system that experienced players run. That is part of the high prices, the sellers don't reasonably expect 95 percent of it to sell at those prices. It's just easier to change the price of a whole tab down in increments about once an hour through the dat. Nobody who plays hard will price check literally a thousand items a day.
To add to brian's explanation, this sort of inflation is also driven by the fact that more people are able to afford higher priced goods as opposed to last week, which naturally drives the price ceiling up. We see this very commonly in POE1 early leagues as well, where on opening weekend a +2 proj tri ele bow can go for as low as 40c, but fast forwards a week later and you can see the same bow listed for 10+ div.
But here div holds zero value aside from just rerolling stat in uniques like back in poe 1. In poe 1, div is much more worth it than ex is because of the crafting bench, which does not exist in poe 2.

Im a new player and just started T15 maps. I cant craft good gear because im unlucky. Items are too expensive. At this point, since i have shit gear, I cannot progress. I stopped playing for a while now.
Being a new player and getting to t15 maps is a pretty good feat in its self. PoE is a grind game though, you won’t progress so long as you aren’t farming maps
Gj on getting to t15 first of all, that's really not bad, but for the crafting you're thinking about it wrong, you're not unlucky, you simply don't have enough attempts. Make sure to pick up all white items from the usable bases you're trying to craft and buy cheap near misses from the market to try and fix, it's currently magnitudes cheaper to craft good items than buying them outright, it's literally impossible to be "too unlucky" for crafting, the position on the bell curve for that would look insane.
Cheers for vid, I’m new to Poe, and finding it hard to trade, had some success and followed the decorum- wait for trade etc, but half the time ppl who post don’t even respond aswell
Good to get started with decorum etc. honestly dude, it depends on how in demand your item is. The more in demand your item is, the more bots/price-fixers will be selling an item cheaply (but with no intention to actually trade the item). If you see an item, and the first 20 listings are listed like
Its not that prices are not updating, its that ratio's are being calculated using the bulk section of their website (as opposed to in game currency market). so if nobody uses it, or it has a lower than usual rate thanks to price fixers colluding, it will always be off.
As soon as i seen that divs where being priced incorrectly on the trade site i went to the sort by and selected exalts. Very frustrating to see that its bugged. i don't think this would be fixed until next year.
Yea actual end game gear is unachievable for 99.9% of the playerbase. I wanted to buy wisdom gloves for my monk and they go for about 10 div. Like when do i farm 700ex? For gloves only
When i was playing settlers of kalgur the price was 160 chaos for 1 div (from memory) do you think its players from poe 1 speculating the price for divines will go up to normalize to that of poe 1 as the standard? Hence buying out the supply of divines and causing a supply shock? This will normalise eventually as the economy will reach homeostasis naturally as reflected through the drop chance of divs and exaults. Also the reason i used exalts vs divs is because thats the standard currency now ahhaah
Well I have been using this but still the market is terrible for 2h weapons despite the warrior player base being really small. People either throw away good weapons, they're too rare or the market is still crazy.
Dude where have you been my entire life. Make more 101 videos so my dumbass chimp brain can understand mechanics. Like what are you looking at when you decide an item is good? I still have no clue.
in game mechanics you have to rely on like markets in order to progress and have more fulfillment in games teach you more about the world than allot of classes ever teach you
As a new player to PoE, I'm amazed how archaic the trading system is. It's fcking pure hot garbo that is just infuriating to go through for many reasons and it only contributes to this whole issue. The amount of price fixing people do on the trade site is fcking unreal. I seriously hope they put an in-game auction house/trading post in eventually. It would be a lot more intuitive and stop these goobas putting up nonsense for 1 ex when they have no intention to sell but only to mislead those not in the know and flip. The overall user experience of it is just terrible.
Learn to properly use the trade search, once you're using weights you won't be complaining about the trade system anymore. Also generally ignore 1ex items or even filter them out, it's not even that people are price fixing with them, usually it's simply the case that they're in a map fighting stuff and it's not possible to portal/worth wasting a portal for a 1ex trade, but catch them standing in hideout and they will sell.
@niwoh I do use all the filters. The trade system is just flawed for a number of reasons. There is absolutely a lot of price fixing, and RMTers are trying to manipulate the market. You're right that people in maps won't always port as it's not worth it. They need to bake in the trade into the game, at the very least.
@@Alan-uy1iq RMT does exist but it has a very small impact on the economy, especially currently where making an account to spam advertise for the sites costs 30 dollars. The simple fact of the matter is people are just stupid, they give away their crafting currency on the currency exchange for peanuts instead of using it to craft good gear, most people don't even pick up and transmute white gear. Look at the prices for trans/aug/chaos, it's all ridiculously undervalued, the auction house we do have IS the problem, it's the reason why prices are the way they are right now, a full auction house would only make it worse.
@niwoh what? Mate, the RMT msgs you see in global are not what you should be basing anything off of. They're the smallest tiniest cog in the machine that take the hit, and they're only 1 form of advertising they do. The reality is that behind the scenes, there are droves of these people constantly farming, monitoring, and influencing the market and doing whatever they can to make money IRL off activities in the game. Now, they obviously don't outnumber the market, but they most certainly have an impact on it. Here's my 2 cents on trading, I think it sounds good on paper, but it actually ruins a big part of the game, which is crafting and meaningful RNG. Especially with the sheer amount of items that drop. It really does feel like it trivialises one of the best parts of ARPGs. On your point, I think if you had just currency exchange and no auction house, then a big part of that issue would be solved. It feels like that won't ever be the case as the flood gates have already been opened there.

0:07 this is why I’m subbed to this guy just moments ago. Read my mind. A week ago enjoying the game as a new player. Check trades: ahh the lala land of the ret4rded.
What I’ve realized with POE 2 is that gear drops are garbage and buying from the vendor is the way to go. I only sell items which have a value and my stash of 1600 ex just grows by the day. ES chest peaces are a good example of how foooked up the game drops are as the market place is the only place to buy a good chest piece as out of the loot that drops, only a handful drop across the player base and end on the market.
People have been complaining about markets since Plato. Probably even before. The fact of the matter is, they don't work. A market economy inevitably crashes every 5-8yrs. That isn't even coming from some sort of communist writer. That's the official statement from the USA government and their own research. In the 1800s, it was well known that crashes occurred on average every 8-12yrs. If this madness continues to get worse and it certainly will, we will have economic crashes every 3-5yrs, while the rich profit off the misery of the working class at the bottom. the question i have, is why would video game developers, who are supposed to be some of the most imaginative people on the planet, introduce such a bad sytem in their game, when they had the freedom to imagine literally anything else in the world? I understand in real life, we all have the "choice" to live in market economies, but why do we also have to suffer in a virtual world? it doesn't make sense and it isn't very imaginative at all. Real life inflation and price fixing is bad enough in the real world. I don't need it in my video games.
we've been using that interface for years, there is no problem, just learn how to use the interface, poe economy is alive like real world economy, if you can go to a grocery store you can understand poe trade
You can't have this conversation wirhout mentioning thar increased rarity is affecting currency which is causing massive inflation. It is also why increased rarity soul cores are so valuable. A lot of people running round with +200% giving them triple currency is quite frankly busted
On presenting information, having a block of text while dictating it yourself can be improved. Maybe keep the comment at the top of your screen, and pass through price differences as evidence. So we are engaged with real information, like how you showed initially between exalt vs divine prices
Complains about divine orb asking price, then proceeds to filter exalted orbs only, with a higher asking price than a divine orb, yeah real smart bro that solved the problem 👍
This allows you to actually see listings between 10 and 50ex that would normally be listed below 1 div listings (or in the case of 50 ex 4 div listings). Since ex are roughly 70:1, it's a great way to find listings that are under a divine. Now in some cases there might not be any, but often you'll be able to find some quality stuff for 12-20ex, or at least you could when I wrote that comment yesterday.
Its not the problem solution , the issue , selling 1 time lost jewel foe 500 divines is the problem, no1 can afford it , most things that should be 150 ex is 8 -10 divines
They only really start dropping in maps, they're not THAT rare once you're farming somewhat juiced maps, but just sell the div and craft your own gear bro, chaos orbs are incredibly undervalued right now
This is not the real reason why the market is messed up The market is currently screwed because of the beetle farm that most people were taking advantage of and making 500-1k ex every couple of hours wich caused ex to crash in value then it got patched and during this time a couple of groups were doing buyouts and relisting for div when they were buying for a handful of ex this what happened and it wont be fixed until drop rates get adjusted to fix the balance
this is only part of the issue, I promise if GGG set the correct ex to div ratio on the trade site, you would see a lot of these prices drop because no one would benefit from listing their mid items in divines instead of exalts. Like he said in the video, you are more likely to trade something for a divine right now even if the items true value is 10x less. Also, at the same time that the beetle farm was happening, the ingenuity belt dropped, which made the value of divines increase. This pressure on divines wasnt there before because no one needed divines to roll affix ranges on any uniques. The belt dropped and suddenly all of the top players who could afford the belt needed divines so they started converting. Basically a few things happened in the span of a couple days that made divines skyrocket
Thats not the issue at all, even before the patch the beetle at max would only give around 10ex/hour, which is significantly lower than what you can get out of t15 breach farming, which can earn you around 60-100ex/run if you are lucky.
The market problem is this game is Chinese, like I'm not being racist or anti-progressive I've been playing Chinese mmo since 2008 let me have an opinion. I'm a grown ass man but I'm supposed to pretend like I don't know what the fuck G2G is, and when I talk about something that I see is an issue, the developers use their Fanboys or their alternate accounts, to alienate me for explaining the situation. To anyone who hasn't been on a form that sounds completely schizo, buffer people who use discord and Reddit know this is shit that happens all the time this is what PR is. So basically they have a problem if we say anything about it we are the issue because we're bringing attention to it.

My god I love your style. Glad I stumbled onto this channel today, sub incoming.
If you see an item, and the first 20 listings are listed like
People have lost their minds with pricing, seeing rares listed for 5 divines that should reasonably cost 30 exalts
Its not that prices are not updating, its that ratio's are being calculated using the bulk section of their website (as opposed to in game currency market). so if nobody uses it, or it has a lower than usual rate thanks to price fixers colluding, it will always be off.
I found this then i was looking for leveling gear and set price below 1 ex,good thing
As soon as i seen that divs where being priced incorrectly on the trade site i went to the sort by and selected exalts. Very frustrating to see that its bugged. i don't think this would be fixed until next year.
I mean this happens in poe 1 aswell just to a much smaller degree
You are hilarious dude. I wish more content creators were like you. I suppose the ad revenue becomes an issue at some point.
Well I have been using this but still the market is terrible for 2h weapons despite the warrior player base being really small.
People either throw away good weapons, they're too rare or the market is still crazy.
Hungering for more content
Almost everything is in divines as currency and if i set exalts as buyout, there and no results on my search.
Am i doing something wrong?
it means that the item is to expensive for people to even sell it at exalt level.
This problem has existed since the trade site was created in PoE 1 many years ago
I was wondering why every piece of shit gear is now 1 divine to 65 divine orbs. Who tf has 65-100 divine just laying around?
i sold good warstaff couple days ago for 35divs
There was a couple exploits for farming which apparently was enough to inflate the currency
Another banger
I love this guy
Hey bro, I think you should start streaming on twitch/youtube. You're very funny and I would love to see you run some maps.
i wish GGG had built PoE2 around SSF but whales like trading and the rich like being rich in games as well as life. SSF for life!
New fav creator
I didnt know real humans played PoE. Subbed
Dude where have you been my entire life. Make more 101 videos so my dumbass chimp brain can understand mechanics. Like what are you looking at when you decide an item is good? I still have no clue.
in game mechanics you have to rely on like markets in order to progress and have more fulfillment in games teach you more about the world than allot of classes ever teach you
Dude, fuckin' 10/10 comedy. Good job!

The video I needed !
this is primary monitor content
yeah.. but things listen for over 65exal orbs... you might as well spend a divine lol.. same rate
Gonna put my prizes down when the fixed the website prices
Lol i was already doing this. I actually thought it was totally normal
So basically instead of playing a ARPG... I will be instead playing a trade simulator.
It's all over the screen, Klovehitch...
I don't need it in my video games.
this is great. more vids
What is an ES chest?
Energy Shield
Fuckin love your channel man. Keep up the great work 🙌
Came for the info left with the memes
we've been using that interface for years, there is no problem, just learn how to use the interface, poe economy is alive like real world economy, if you can go to a grocery store you can understand poe trade
You can't have this conversation wirhout mentioning thar increased rarity is affecting currency which is causing massive inflation. It is also why increased rarity soul cores are so valuable. A lot of people running round with +200% giving them triple currency is quite frankly busted
Imagine buying items for more than 5 ex))
I am right now at t15 maps with my 20ex equipment
keep up the videos
It's not a real economy and GGG would be stupid to not implement hard caps on prices.
need more funny man poe2 content pls ty
"oh wow all of these comments are so good and informative!!!!"
and then you found this comment =]
On presenting information, having a block of text while dictating it yourself can be improved. Maybe keep the comment at the top of your screen, and pass through price differences as evidence. So we are engaged with real information, like how you showed initially between exalt vs divine prices
Bro, this is fantastic feedback, thank you very much I will must certainly keep that in mind. Honestly a killer idea.
727 likes, nice
if anyone couldnt figure this out on their own they probably cant figure out how to make a sandwich
Mi Bro solo puso el filtro y hizo el vídeo 😂😂😂😂😂
Its not the problem solution , the issue , selling 1 time lost jewel foe 500 divines is the problem, no1 can afford it , most things that should be 150 ex is 8 -10 divines
I've gotten 1 divine orb in 100 hrs on this game. INSANELY RARE and every decent piece of gear they want at least 1, yeah ok!?
They only really start dropping in maps, they're not THAT rare once you're farming somewhat juiced maps, but just sell the div and craft your own gear bro, chaos orbs are incredibly undervalued right now
well yeah not for endgame items
keep making videos pls u funny
This is not the real reason why the market is messed up
The market is currently screwed because of the beetle farm that most people were taking advantage of and making 500-1k ex every couple of hours wich caused ex to crash in value then it got patched and during this time a couple of groups were doing buyouts and relisting for div when they were buying for a handful of ex this what happened and it wont be fixed until drop rates get adjusted to fix the balance
this is only part of the issue, I promise if GGG set the correct ex to div ratio on the trade site, you would see a lot of these prices drop because no one would benefit from listing their mid items in divines instead of exalts.
It ain't working. Whispering people gets me nowhere. No one answer never was able to buy or sell stuff there

please dont change and post more!
So basically they have a problem if we say anything about it we are the issue because we're bringing attention to it.
i love
Yeah now everyone knows it so no more good proces
Hey klovehitch I wanna let you know I really appreciate the time u spend making. ur gay. These videos
