Flowmaster OUTLAW.... I have it on my 2010 Camaro SS... it's a beast. I deleted the catalytic converters and resonators, added long tube headers with stock pipe and it's a BEAST
@@anonymousyoutube8941 The 5th gen Camaro V6's were way before their time.... That's why import V6's were dominating the scene. I'm pretty sure Honda Odyssey's at that time, of the same year, could practically keep up with the 10-11 Camaro RS.... The LFX engine in the 12-15 didn't really do a whole lot extra; so a car like a Nissan 350Z HR, would absolutely dust it.
Just to clarify, by adding an offroad H-pipe, you are eliminating catalytic converters. So, the sound improvement will be from the better flow as well as not running an X-pipe.
Flows scavenge much better than most exhaust. they actually pull the exhaust out rather than just unrestrict'em. they may be old school to some, but their is a reason they've been around for so long... they work
I have the American thunder cat back on my 2011 ss. and it sounds 1000x better in person. idk what kind of mic they were using, but I personally don't like the way it sounds in this video. do not make your decision on this video alone!
I've never heard a Borla that sounded better than a Flowmaster. That's personal opinion though. Borla always had one benefit, better stainless steel. Flowmaster's sound is just wicked though. And with a lifetime warranty on Flowmasters, there's nothing I prefer about the Borla.
Hush children... I have been driving far longer then any of you have been alive and after owning and driving anything in standards from a 429 cobra to 455 trans am to a Peterbuilt tractor with a 24 speed Roadranger, I am hear to tell you that there is not a driver among you and that nobody can shift as fast as the new autos can.
Great sound with the Flowmasters, but the only way to get that awesome Mustang exhaust note you MUST upgrade all piping to 3", put in an OFFROAD H-pipe, and get the Super 44 series Flowmasters. There are verrrry few 2010+ Camaro's out there with this setup because everyone runs an X-pipe with 2.5" pipes on these cars. And for the record, the resonance is not that big of a deal. It's not something that really bothers people, and it's only for a 200-300 RPM range. Not a big deal at all.
I have a v6 camaro and im debating between a borla atak and flowmaster anerican thunder..what would be the best way to give it a agressive growl for a v6
problem is everybody thinks that just because it is a manual it is faster, which isnt true it all depends on the driver, people can drive a manual all day and the best time they will run a 14 second 1/4 in a 12.5 second capable car... I dont have a manual because I am only 18 with no experience I would have destroyed my SS's transmission as a 16 year old... and as technology increases automatics are becoming faster shifting than any driver is capable of....
@1ec0bra Ups and their downs auto is fast in the drag (most use the hydroglide 2 speed for that matter) But personally the manual just gives that element of wow and gives better control of what the motor does. Just my opinion though. And it's easier to burnout in a standard vs auto.
Why do some people hate on Automatics so much? To be completely honest Most people who drive standards tear the shit out of the transmission anyway! Im the first to admit I am 18 and I got a 2ss/rs why would I get a standard? so i could tear the shit out of it? besides modern automatic transmissions are becoming faster and better shifting then most standards so STFU about the transmission its not that big of a deal pick which ever 1 u like and use it!
Actually you are wrong, especially in the case of the 5th gen camaro. The Auto is faster than the stick, regardless of the stick having 26 more HP. It is all about the shift points, and there is no way that even the best stick driver can replicate the shift points accurately over and over the way the auto does.
I know how to drive a standard that isnt the problem, but I race my car, and power shifting tears the shit out of a tranny. And my automatic 99% of people who own a standard anyway. Without knowing it people turn high 12 second cars into 14 second cars because the can't shift. Like I said it's not a big deal pick 1 and use it, built automatics shift faster than any manuals. Why do you think F1 GT Lemans, they all use automatics (paddles). It out shifts a driver everytime.
With a manual, YOU control the shift points. Manuals are better than auto's. The only time you would want an auto is if you have over 1000hp, which can destroy a clutch if you make a mistake.
Both of these systems are a complete waste of money on the camaro unless you're installing an off road pipe with them. GM's cats must be really restrictive since both of these systems are hardly any louder than stock.

I've got the American Thunder on my 2012 V6 and couldn't be happier with the sound for myself.
No one on this thread gives a crap about a V-6 😂

Though I'm usually on Borla's side and not a big fan of Flowmaster, this video might have changed my mind a bit! This is amazing

These cars NEED aftermarket headers. I did a cat back, and was like eh, then I did the Catless long tubes and it was a whole new car LOL
V6? Cuz I have a V6 Camaro and idk where to start either down pipes or exhaust system
SharpShooterYT 2 you can start by selling that and getting a V8
SPHNC Lmao honestly. Why waste money on a exhaust for a V6 “muscle” car

Harry Anderson learn how to spell “here” right before you start talking shit
What you say is true Harry. However, Automatics just ain’t fun!
24 speed huh? Whats the model number on that transmission?
I drive a 1979 Peterbilt 359 with a 5 speed main 4 speed auxiliary two sticker with a 8v92 v8 Detroit

The Outlaw sounds the best
Is the American Thunder cat back kit available for a 2013 v6? I can only find it for a 6.2 liter. Will that kit fit the v6?
I would like to see Dyno results to prove that a muffler swap adds horsepower

muscle cars and straight pipes
Do you have any 3rd Gen camaro videos?
Which one is more loud
Either do I. Just messing around with ya. We can agree that the camaro is an amazing car though.
Is it legal in 2021?

you would be suprised what changing of seleniods can do on a auto box!!!
Ill stick with the flowmaster!

Would it work on a camaro 2015 ls
@aftoyboy True man, but to be honest Automatics are the fastest in the track, no human error, but then again Manual is the way to go.
Awesome!!!
The LS3 has 420 lbs ft of torque the L99 only has 410 lbs ft
It’s not loud enough for me 😞
I haven't heard the Hushpower in person, but always sounds like poopy here on RUclips... Flows FTW
Who’s here in 2018
Check out my camaro! just got my catback exhaust put on! sounds great
I couldn't hear the difference you was talking.
you know manuals are also cheaper buy about $1000
yeah unless u are clueless do how to use it like most people who buy them are and destroy it then ur looking at a new transmission

They are…main issue running into both the V6 and V8 is they are nearly silent unless on WOT.
It's good to have a quiet exhaust from the factory
in desperate need of a cam
No Rice Here also no Fart cans
that wasnt my point if u read the below comment clearly genius
Automatic?? Really?? Some people just don't know how to have fun anymore.
Lmao my SS with muffler deletes sounds waaaay better than this and at a fraction of the price.
I am buying a 2014 ss please tell me about these muffler deletes? What did you do?
reallyboardstiff just literally take out he mufflers and resonators.
@@reallyboardstiff make sure you straight piped the car aswell
I'll get there faster though.
Are you smoking crack? This is a muscle car, not a Vette. lol
Magnaflow is better.
Both sound horrible
Do you have any 3rd Gen camaro videos?
