      Melancholy is also an adjective. Please refer to Cambridge Dictionary. Melancholy - having a feeling of melancholy; sad and pensive.
      "she felt a little melancholy"

    Sorry mister. It is prosperous to say that colossal or enormous can be used instead of big irrespective of what the size of the thing in question might be. You are misleading people by such oversimplification.

      Not really. “big” can be used as a simpler alternative to “colossal,” though “colossal” suggests a much larger size.

      Harry, please look up colossal and enormous (I did this again in four "quite big, even enormous" dictionaries.) The word big is never given as a synonym of these two words. Instead, we see synonyms (or descriptions/definitions) like "vast, huge, immense, gigantic, titanic, massive, extraordinary, even astronomical and monstrous." "Big has o modest coverage.: More than average size, weight, force, importance, etc."
