But have you heard of the High Elves? Seriously you must tell me more about this wedding. Was the priest dressed like Jauffre? Did everyone have cheese?

I have no idea why I'm writing this, I doubt anyone will read it. I guess I just needed to put it down somewhere. There's always been something about this song that forces me to stop and listen. It doesn't matter if I've heard it ten times or ten hundred times, it still gives me goosebumps just like the very first time I heard it. I'm fast approaching 40 now, and I can still remember how this game and the soundtrack made me feel at a time in my life when everything still seemed new and thrilling-like an epic adventure was waiting just around the corner. The background imagery takes me straight back to my middle school days, when I would stay up all night writing and gaming, and I would watch the sun rise outside while I was alone with my thoughts (funny enough, I was actually playing Morrowind at that time!). I remember the anticipation and excitement of what life had in store for me when I was grown and ready to strike out on my own. Now that I've seen what's out there and how cold and cruel the world is, I wish more than anything I could go back and feel that way again. Now I feel nothing but sadness and longing for a past and a home that I can never return to. So while this beautiful backdrop and this compelling music stirs up bittersweet nostalgia in me, it's painful, too. Still, I know I'll be coming back here frequently to listen to this haunting rendition of one of the most incredible compositions I've ever had the pleasure of listening to in my lifetime. Thank you for sharing this OP, it means a lot.
I had nearly killed myself this year. It failed, thankfully, and I found myself seeing the world around me in a different way. The light seemed brighter, the colors seemed more vibrant, the sun warmed my face like never before, and the world looked...beautiful. Each time, I looked out of the window in the psych ward at nature. This played in my head, and I felt that sense of calm wash over me. Thw composer made these to inspire life, and I saw how beautiful it is. Thank you for making my favorite version of this song. Thanks to you and the composer for helping me see how beautiful life is.
@@theprussian4616 I'm glad you're feeling better now. I'm in a situation right now where life is bringing me to my knees. Your comment made it clear for a moment that this is indeed the case
@@veter5872 The world can bring us to our knees, but as long as we keep standing up, that's what counts. Even in the dark, clouded and rainy days, I can still see the beauty. I pray you can as well. I guess, what I'm saying is, I hope you can see the world from the Wings of Kynareth as well. Stay safe man.
Played this at my elder scrolls themed wedding. Was beautiful. 🥹
That sounds like an amazing wedding
But have you heard of the High Elves?

Just don't leave him for a redguard
There probably was sweet roll instead of wedding cake
@@Novelist1029I cannot describe to you just how beautiful it was. Words do not do it Justice.
Such a warm and adventurous soundtrack. It really feels like a tune of ye olde European realms.

Wise words
One of the most realistic games ever created was released 18 years ago. Even today, modernized games don’t really approach Oblivion maps too well.
It's beacuse oblivion has Soul and newer games doesn't
I recently wrote a fantasy genre novel of my own. This song provided great inspiration and emotion in my writing. Thank you for uploading it.
Thank you, absolutely beautiful. Sounds even more harmonic and beautiful slowed down. Made me tear up a bit, I love this game beyond words.
I just picture walking through lush gardens on a warm summer afternoon in the Welsh Countryside with this music. I can just imagine it.

This song stuck out to me whenever I was in the Shivering Isles on the side of Mania. It seemed to fit with the bright colors
This sounds kind of haunting now.
