Thanks Meg for posting this video. My daughter will be born in 2 months and she has HLHS. My biggest questions (and worry) to the doctors has been "What will her life look like as she gets older" and your videos have offered a very encouraging and hopeful perspective and calmed a lot of my fears. God Bless you!

Like so many others who've commented my son has HLHS. Today is his 5th birthday. Like you, he lives a pretty normal life! I always worry his health will decline as he gets older (I'm talking teen years), so seeing you living a very typical college life is so inspiring! Please keep making videos, it really does give us all hope for our little ones!
And Mike sounds like a keeper:)

    Dear Meg,
Great video and as an 32 year old HLHS patient I ask that you do take care of your liver and your sodium intake. Trust me when I say that it will help you in the long run. You don't have to do any special liver cleansing...all you have to do is eat healthy, cut out the processed foods, nix the extra salty stuff and keep your alcohol intake to a minumum. Being diagnosed with cardiac cirrhosis is not fun...trust me.

@CHDWarrior14 My arrhythmias vary, some days I will have a lot if I am lacking sleep (seems to trigger it) but other days I will have none. I go to my cardiologist once a year.
