    I have now been binge watching Valheim videos from numerous creators and fallen in love with some amazing designs, but of all of those many this one has to be my absolute favorite to this day. This is exactly the kind of build I would have gone for myself, except mine would have probably turned out a lesser example despite me being very on cue when it comes to designing an aesthetic look. First of all I love how you incorporated the rock into your structure, and that you left those Fir trees standing. The trees work especially well with your gate path. The best part about this mountainside villa to me is the massive window space you created in the main hall, overlooking that impressive panorama. I could go on. I also love your choice of music. I have bookmarked this video since I will be watching this again in future. You stand out as one of the great architects of the Valheim community and I humbly salute you.

    Great build my friend, the interior is especially stunning, and the build itself looks like it was meant to be part of the mountain, I need to build more in that biome, great work :)

      Thanks a lot Zom, I really enjoyed building this. I think leaving the ground uneven and building into it made the design a lot more interesting, and this is a great biome.
      I usually try and build on open flat land to make the builds a bit easyer to follow for tutorials but this turned out great👍

    Hello dear Mister Pilgrim ... yes, as you wrote yourself, there are many creators in Valheim (and those who would like to become one - in my opinion 😉) ... BUT I prefer your videos and your extremely artistic, detailed & ingenious construction ... and these are always exciting & very atmospheric accompanied by tasteful and sophisticated music ... I love EVERYTHING. Your Buildings are really amazing 👏👏👏 Thank you for showing & sharing your talents & your passion. 👍👍👍 Best wishes to you. A 🐻🐯fan 🇩🇪 (an old bearded man ;-)

Granted I have not killed bonemass or moder yet, went around a mountain with a sledgehammer and kept hitting the ground for hours until I saw 'to hard' message an started mining and now I have the butcher table. Without it I wouldn't be able to roam in the plains at all:)

    • @ytubestolemyhandle
      @ytubestolemyhandle 3 года назад +1

      that's cause I think he's actually playing destroying the building video in reverse so naturally there's no terraforming included - it was already set while building. I'm just amazed that he has the imagination to make use of preexisting rocks and stuff without breaking them. I usually just annihilate everything, and then pretty it up as a last step (if I ever even get to that point). Mods like ValheimPlus (for freely rotating), OdinArchitect and Clutter (build pieces) and PlantEverything are essential to me. Still got to spawn some things with console, but just freely rotating Vines from PlantEverything is a godsend for making buildings look believable..

  • @ytubestolemyhandle
    @ytubestolemyhandle 3 года назад

    Yeah, I'm not even attempting this lmao. Looks great, but also looks like 20+ hours of work (not counting any terraforming), and I'm not even half finished with the norman castle I'm trying to build the rough structure of, before I switch from debugmode to survival to slowly finish it up while playing the game. I spent the past 3 days just laying down bricks and terraforming. The worst thing is, one of my mods is stealthily changing how the damn Hoe tool works, so getting anything to be flat is near impossible. It doesn't level to the feet level, but medium value within the circle. So even moving in tiny increments, it still essentially makes just... flatter hills rather than flat terrain. So I spent like 6 hours with hoe and pickaxe already, and likely will spend 3-4x as much still finishing up the courtyard and moat..
    Also, I have no idea how you can utilize terrain so well, including rocks :D I just grab Mjolnir and destroy everything within 50m of my build in most cases (and later spend a few hours with hoe, pipckaxe, plant everything mod and console trying to make it look good again)... it's worse in mountains because there are gigantic rocks everywhere in the most inconvenient places, and once I swing at it, it breaks so badly I end up mining it up whole. The place I'm building the castle over used to be a forest.. well, Mjolnir's AOE attack sure is good at woodcutting, there's now a 300x 150 swath of land

    • @ThePilgrimzProject
      @ThePilgrimzProject  3 года назад

      omg that hoe thing sounds aweful, I have noticed I have to only let the edge of the circle hit the higher ground to make the raised areas flat atm, I have just installed Valheim plus it could be one of the settings with that I think?
      I have been trying to limit my terraforming lately as that is one of the things that can cause a lot of lag.
      I am clearing the top of the mountain for a large castle build and there is is a lot of massive rocks and trees, I ended up building this build because I needed a bunch of chests to drop off all the stone and wood I collected 😁👍

However it leaves out critical placement (double stacking of the reinforced beams etc) I've been attempting to build this, and have had to tear down my roof trusses 4 times now. Not seeing the actual structural load to know if I'm even close is killing me. I LOVE your builds! I've built your Mead Hall already and use it as my primary housing in Valheim. I would love to finish this, but I can't tell if my structural soundness is correct on the roof portion at all. Do you plan on having a complete walk-through like you did with the Mead Hall?

      @@ThePilgrimzProject I agree with @Patrick Kiah. I would love to make this cabin but need to see the actual construction video so I can properly place the materials.

      @@ThePilgrimzProject These foundation patterns are amazing!
      I got this crazy idea for a roof. What if we added a bunch of item stands to make the roof look like it's made of shields? Idk how well the clipping would look, but it's worth trying.
      I've got a holiday coming up and I'll show you my tiered stair roofs. Love you ❣️❣️

    If you aren't building in survival mode then it's all fucking pointless, modded and spawning everything you need. weak.
