I've just finished watching/listening/appreciating this VC again, today Pentecost Sunday 2024. Such joy of the Spirit you bring, Richard & all at BIS! THANK YOU again!
Thank you, Richard, for a great VC; what a super mix. Thank you also, @Bill Raty for your explanation. I know no snub was intended. I envy you your musical knowledge.
I was watching on my tablet when you played the rendition of Hyfrydol and I had to listen back later on my desktop with the MUCH better speaker system to fully experience that BiS moment.

Great VC Richard, and as for the difficult variations from Dupre's Var. Sur un Noel, when my old music master was learning this back in the late 1960's I was his junior console assistant/turner and although there were some hairy moments during his recital - he got through it all OK. (He was organist of St Bartholemews Armley, Leeds at the time so I got to know the famous Schulze organ quite well). He was an ARCO and a very competent musician, but was never a Cathedral Organ scholar like you so I'm sure you would master the work if you could spare the time - which I know your busy schedule leaves you little of! + Quite agree JSW a monumental Bach and Jongen exemplar. Kind regards, Andrew
Thank you for playing my request Richard! Yes I have seen nearly all (I believe) recordings of it on the channel, I just thought it would be fun to see what you make of it 'on the fly' so to say. Have a great week and stay safe (sadly I could not really join live due to my business of late)
