This will be a great mod and creature addition if, and only if, there's a subtle way to tell apart the mimics from the real thing that they are attempting to mimic. Edit: I have since learned that this mod does indeed do this, and in some rather inventive ways too. For example, the words can appear differently on the door. This is a great mod.
Perhaps for the fire exit mimic, it could have one or more letters upside down or facing incorrectly. It's noticable enough to those being careful and more risky if you're on an adrenaline spike after trying to escape another monster
Its kind of a must to have a mimic enemy on a dungeon scavenging game. And i mean the vanilla enemies are weird aswell, a crawling land shark, a shade demon that makes almost no sound, minecraft sided spider, loot goblin like bugs, a jack in a box with legs, and the shining.exe, i can see a door or locker mimic.
If this kind of mimic is to be added to the game Zeekers could make it so that "FIRE EXIT" is spelled wrong (like FIER EXTI) to distinguish the real fire exit from the mimic
