The sheriff said she had asked for live ammo, and that she was turned down, because it's not allowed on set. The point was that she wanted to have live ammo on set, it was something she would do.
It was live ammo for a 45 70. Very different from a 45 long colt.
Oh so if someone asks to do something and are told no by their boss then you know that person will eventually do it no matter the cost. Quit making dumb comments!!! Petmoron
@@leonardcollings7389 Hannah asked to shoot .45-70 out of a trapdoor and was warned in writing against shooting live ammo out of any guns used for filming. She insisted she would still be shooting live ammo out of her own, a SAA chambered in .45 Colt that her dad Thell Reed gave her. All the very damning facts are available to the public, from her audio interview with Voices of the West to the Santa Fe Sheriffs Office release of bodycam and interview room videos, also the phone call recordings and crime scene photos. Just not too many people will look into the entirety of it to determine what the investigation is likely to conclude. The facts suggest that at the very least Hannah will get charged. A film Armorer has to suspect every round is live and validate all intended to loaded are safe by properly rattle testing every round. She has no excuse for loading a live round into the gun, or in Baldwin’s shoulder holster cartridge loop, and having loose live rounds in her on-set Armorer’s bag, none. She even admitted in her SO interview to shooting live .45 Colt, and also that she supplied the box she loaded from, showing a picture on her phone of it to the detective and then describes the box in detail, and it’s condition. Occam’s razor
Well said, that is ofcourse the point, very unprofessional sketchy behavior.
Sheriff can be paid off by alec baldwin... arrest them both especially alec he did pull the trigger!!! He should have checked the gun considering he knew he would be pointing it at a person... arrest him!
How in gods name was this person ever in charge of handling any firearms🤯
Ask Seth Kenny. He’s throwing her under the bus for his negligence as well.
Because her daddy did it for a living and nepotism is alive and well in Hollywood
@@CoraJean19 Somehow a ‘beef’ prevented Hannah from properly rattle testing rounds to verify they were dummies and not live? Somehow Hannah also was prevented from taking 2 seconds to rattle test the live round she loaded into Baldwin’s shoulder holster? This in addition to the live round she loaded into the gun, and the other live rounds that were found in her Armorer’s bag on the bottom of the prop cart outside the church. Honey, your reputation isn't "tarnished", it's obliterated.
Her dad got her the job as he is a seasoned armorer in Hollywood she brought live ammo to set.
I don’t care who Reed’s father is.. Who in their right minds hired that silly girl to handle WEAPONS on set?! Track that person, or persons, down and you have the one who is MOSTLY to blame for this tragedy!
That girl is in a lot of trouble. The fact that she even asked about having live rounds on a set proves that she was willing to use them for her own amusement. It's likely that she smuggled live rounds on set for that purpose and forget to remove one after a little play shooting session. She implicated herself with those texts and there's no reason anyone else would be responsible for live rounds on that set. Going down hard!
stunned that this girl would be anything less than a total professional......
I hear ya. A chick like that is the spitting image of what comes into my head whenever I think of "armorer."
Dis the sjw hair give it away
@@milkboccleboomer energy
They hired her as both prop master and armorer to cut costs. There was one redundant safety measure taken out.
If she herself didn't know the difference from a live round with active primer and a dummy round with a spent primer and no powder, an experienced prop master would have seen the round in the chamber He/ she would have questioned why there was a dummy round in chamber instead of a blank. This in turn would have had the live round exposed before harm was done.
Regardless the live round had no business being on set. The expected dummy round had no business in the chamber as the scene called for a shoot-out not something a dummy round would be used for. The only scene you would really need a dummy round in the chamber would be to film a stair down into a barrel. Mainly another example of pinching pennies and loosing dollars and unfortunately life as well. My heart goes out to the victim's family and friends and the cast crew on the set. 🙏
She was the Armorer and the Assistant to the Prop Master. There is certainly plenty of blame to go around for this terrible accident. But IMO, no one will face criminal charges.
It would be easy for someone with reloading experience to created a cartridge that would pass the rattle and primer spent tests and still go off. Fact is sabotage is a very real possibility with the loose gun storage on site.
@@leonardcollings7389 Can you share your thoughts on how they would accomplish that? The BB's are not going to sound anything like a rattle if they are covered in gun powder. Drilling a hole through the primer and still getting it to activate would also be a neat trick.
@@leonardcollings7389 I have seen reloads who's primer looks spent, but still fire normally. looks like a lot of protocols got bypassed or ignored.

Smh....it's frustrating and frightening
Interesting, you hear her ask, "Am I under arrest?". And then at the end you can hear her say "Welcome to the worst day of my life". All of that seems like a strange things to say if you know you did nothing wrong. And why is she saying "I can't believe Alec Baldwin was holding that gun" in the moments after the camera woman just got shot? That seems odd. She says nothing about the woman who got shot? She seems more concerned about the fact that it was Alec Baldwin who did the shooting. That just seems kind of weird.
Meanwhile Alec was concerned about Halyna by asking again and again “what’s her story?” “Is she okay?” And says he’s willing to co-operate. And people wanna call him arrogant… 😤 smh 🤦♂️
@@Tommyboy6426 Yeah, quite a contrast between the two reactions. But really, hers is pretty sick. It's like a drunk destroying a family in a car wreck, then moaning about how his own life will be affected.

I will say... she sounds/looks rather high on the day it happened. and saying "I can't believe Alec Baldwin was holding the gun" leads me to believe she knew that specific gun had live ammo, and Alec was never meant to be holding that gun. But I'm more concerned that she seemed high as a kite while she's supposed to be being responsible and properly handling the weaponry.

Actors, directors ,camera and lighting specialist have ZERO responsible for guns , ammo , explosive and other stunt or prop related areas ! Period ! There is many areas and those specific areas have those roles filled and maintained by someone paid to do exactly that . Are the grips paid to the directing ? Is the make up dept paid to do the acting ? Are actors paid to be gun safety Armourer specialist …ah no , that would be someone called an ARMOURER ! Pretty simple stuff .
I think that, at best, non-specialists are a last chance to prevent certain flubs and disasters. It's like a patient asking a doctor, "Are you sure that's the right injection?" Or a construction worker telling an architect, "That blueprint layout looks strange to me..." Of course, like you basically said, it should never come down to that.

So that was the ONLY live round fired? Only one in the gun? Only one on set? One bullet?
Live ammo is never allowed on any set.

Don't forget everyone was chatting through computers for 2 years not many people met ahead of the set, some people are experts on computer, talking, unfortunately they can't act as they do online in real life energy. I feel she has alot of explaining to do or she was set up too, imagine if Alec wasn't as strong as he is, look at what people saud about him immediately. Awful situation, I always said from Day one it was a set up, someone left a bullet in the gun, you see in Ireland we saw a video of 3 crew members shooting at targets in the Desert at lunch time on that set, it disappeared maybe 100 people mentioned it over the last 2 years, but we were just out of covid not many were paying attention at that time to videos of Hollywood they were in their own mental prisons fear of a cold etc. She now should be given a lie detection test immediately, make sure she isn't on drugs, she gives off that energy a small bit now, we can't blame her fully I'd hate to see another girl die at the hands of online warriors the ones after guns and Alec.
This is what happens when there are no gun professionals on set.
Gutierrez Reed is responsible. That is her job and she failed.

Sarah and Nicole were in the prop truck before Hannah got there. When she did arrive she asked them where the box of ammo came from as it wasn’t there when they left the day before she got no answer from the two . The box said dummy rounds on it and Hannah was surprised because she was looking for a box F dummy rounds for a week to no avail then suddenly there on her cart.and that is the box with some live rounds in it. Hannah shook the box to confirm dummy rounds when she loaded gun she took the four dummy rounds from her pocket and one round from the box . The one from box was live she gave the gun to Halls who said he would just sit with it until Alex came . Hannah said when he comes call me and I will check gun again and give it to Alex as she is the only one that would give guns to actors being head armorer. Then Hannah went outside because of Covid protocols.Halls didn’t call Hannah when Alex arrived and started rehearsal without telling Hannah. Then standing outside with Sarah she heard the gun go off and ran inside.I think Sarah and Nicole put the box with live rounds on the cart to get Hannah fired ,because two rounds went off the day before one by Sarah while holding the gun and Hannah freaked on her and made a stink to production but was told by Seth to not take it any further
In a dummy round the primer is spent ie depressed with a dent. Also the BB is heard inside when you shake the dummy. Each must be checked on inserting into the chamber one by one. A live round does not rattle and the primer is not dented. So largely her responsibility and chain of custody also hers. She is in charge of this. But actor not allowed to point at someone and he's supposed to check weapon was well. Some culpability both ways.
Sometimes you can tell a lot about a person by watching them and listening to them talk.
This is SOLELY the responsibility of the armorer. Even IF somebody deliberately planted LIVE rounds in her supply, it was HER responsibility to double check before handing the weapon to the actor or AD
There should be some charges
The lawyers' accusations of recklessness are disingenuous, and I hope that by some miracle, they read this comment. Your client, the armourer, is not responsible, you want us to believe? Good God! Was her job not to provide "safe" guns and ammo? Wasn't that the job of an armourer?
It is also the job of the actor to point in a safe direction and use plexiglass bullet resistant material between the gun and crew. Also actors are supposed to check the guns themselves. Lots of opportunity for disgruntled worker to load a live round in the gun. Remember they had union troubles on the set and Hanna was non union.
Her job also was to work in props department and armorer at the same time. In fact, they wrote her up for not helping more. Rust could not find any experienced union workers to do both jobs and work for ab. Get your facts straight before you accuse the non union worker who is not trained enough to be blamed.patricia

All this to save the studio money. They should have hired Bud Light as the armorer. He’s a professional.
"it shift the blame on her rather than safety issues on set" which she was partially responsible for, specifically the part about guns.
Safety was disregarded and they all need to pay for it.
Her job: check bullets.
And the safety issues onset should be helped responsible
This armor is to blame especially after they interviewed ammo supplier, she wanted to shoot real ammo in prop guns. Also people on set are now saying she was shooting after work hours.
Her day will come in court soon and it will be a little more than losing her job . She will have a new address and lots of time to think about her negligence.
it doesn't take rocket science to make her responsible for the death of that actor, shes in charge of the armory they used on the set. she may not have been the one to pull the trigger but shes responsible to make sure the gun dont have any live ammunition. they should have taken a drug test on her the day it happened.
Wrong sir, armourer is only responsible for the upkeep and management of the firearms being used. Lead Prop masters are responsible for providing the firearms and ammunition, in this case Kenney.
@@Junglehunter677 No, she was also the Prop Master. Kenny might have supplied the flour, but it was her job to bake the cake.
Worst day of her life, Helena's dead, think she got the worst of it...
Well it is possible that she asked for live ammo because she was told to get it from some of her superiors. Guess the question is who from the Movie needed that.

From what I can gather so far. The armorer is completely at fault. Live rounds should have never been there, they could have only come from her.
The assistant director has no business handling guns, that’s the armorers job. He did handle a weapon and handed it to Baldwin.
Baldwin doesn’t have expertise in guns so that’s why armorers are hired. There’s no expectation that guns are loaded at all.
That being said, every person who handles a real weapon should have weapons safety training. There should be no excuses.
Actors spend months learning accents and martial arts. Some certified weapons safety training in a controlled setting will save lives.
