This is one of the best interviews in VladTV history. You can see and hear the sincerity from Dro I wish Shawn would've asked him how does he feel about making that geeked up / spaceship music during that time in the late 2000s
Prez you need your own platform sir. The way you word things in your interviews is a gift. You actually uplift me, and you provide me with the hope that there are still good people in this evil world.. Thanks Brother Prez.
And my bad. Shout out to brother Dro, and glad you are taking it one day at a time. You had an original south flow “Y’all -- salty/ Haitian h-s want me/ Yesterday, I was the freshest -- in the country” - Young Dro.
This is the best interview that's ever been done on this platform. It's the best because of the transparency, the encouragement, the light brought to addiction and it's dangers and the victories that can be won when addicts realize help is needed and truly sought after, dangers of guns and improper use of guns, and his lack of fear to speak about God and give God praise for his victories. It's a Godless world now where it's taboo and uncommon to believe in God. I can see that Dro is wise which leads me to believe that there are many smart and wise black men and women but wisdom has been suppressed by alcohol and drugs due to self medication and depression and bad influences. I pray young people listen to this interview and decide to change their lives. We are losing way too many of our people to gun violence and addictions. Thank you Dro for your timely and honest testimony.
Damn that was powerful! I ran out of time with my best friend back in September. I was upset with him bout some petty shit and he died before we could fix it. I live with that shit everyday too! 🤦🏽♂️ Way to go Dro! ✊🏽
I hate to hear this kind of loss bro. I only wish good things on you and your current fam. This making me want to reach out to my boy too 🙏🏽 I appreciate this
He knows that you love him. He sees you crying and living in regret and he doesn't want that for you. Write him a letter and either bury it or set in free in the ocean. Though our loved ones aren't physically here with us, they are still with us spiritually. They hear us when we talk to them. Many of us believe in God who we can't see or touch but, think that once our loved ones leave their bodies that they are gone. How? It's the same thing. Free yourself, forgive yourself because your friend has already. I lost my best friend in 2011 we met in Kindergarten and were ace boon from then on. I carried so much guilt and regret. Many don't believe in mediums but, I randomly came across one who gave me an impromptu reading that set my soul free..Wishing you the best love..Better days are here❤️🙏🏽. Godspeed ❤️
Being A Kid from addiction- we grow up different! I sometimes want to share our story but life isn’t ready for the truth! Salute to your honesty - love ya baby
I have loved Dro since he first came out and I have such a similar story to his and have been waiting for the courage to speak my truth as well. It takes people like him to speak for people to really hear. But this interview and everything he articulated so well truly inspired me to leave and speak my truth too oneday! Thank you so much for this interview! He needs to write a book! And I would love to see him speak at these panels!
This entire interview is powerful! Thank be to God and...I salute you for your obedience and courage Young Dro! Be encouraged and may God's grace continue to keep you and equip you to do what you have been purposed to do. Im extremely proud and honored to have heard and watch you share your testimony. Shout out to Vlad and Prez for the platform and great interview!
When he said he patched things up with T.I. before they “run outta time”, I felt dat shit. I appreciate his candid approach to his path to sobriety and how forthcoming he is about the depths of his addiction. Thus far, a fantastic interview and interviewee
We around the same age.. music has always had its high and lows even in the golden era of the 90's.. there were plenty of trash rappers in the 90's too..
If you are suffering from addiction it's the most important thing to talk about it and for other people to listen, instead of ignoring you and pretending you never fucking existed. Admitting there is an addiction issue is the first step to recovery.
I'm sad as hell... I can't see my daughter.. my mom uses her against me and it makes me wanna die... Nobody gives a s*** all they do is talk s*** about me judge me my own family... My mom also knows the truth about what my kids father did behind my back... It so hurtful... Use it she uses her anger for me against me with my kid
💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥Best interview in the rap game Vlad ever did. Vlad this is the chance for you to show that you're here for the culture and you are not a vulture. Now ask the rest of your guests that comes on their like Boosie, TK , and Tony yayo how they feel about this interview to get everyone talking some real positive talk about drug addiction 👀👀👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is truly refreshing. Drugs and alcohol fuel a lot of the problems we have in our community. Being in recovery from addiction is like looking through a new pair of glasses.
I hate how drugs are playing a huge role on these youngstas today. I remember the days where you never was to cross the line of doing anything outside of alcohol or weed.
When was this cuz in the 70s, 80s and the 90s cocaine was the biggest thing ever. In the 80s there was cracked out smokers and rich doctors and pilots sniffin powder everywhere.
So there was no crack era? At all?😂😂😂, there wasn’t a disco era? Where everybody an they moms was sniffing? I’m 20 an I’ve heard of studio 51😂😂. Like cmon be real
@@housemane565 he’s talking about youngsters. At worse, a plate would get passed around amongst a crew/party tucked off somewhere. If you weren’t allowed in those circles or related to those that were, you weren’t privy to that info. Nobody openly talked about it. Nowadays drug use is open among youngsters.
Amen.. I'm so happy to hear someone talk about GOD who understands when you're ready GOD will bless you and carry anything that you can't. I recently had a spiritual awakening after 28 years of opiate addiction. I woke up one day and started praying harder than I had in years and GOD has been blessing me since. Thank you Jesus for your love. When it happens to you all of a sudden you will see miracles happen and you will be blessed in so many ways. I've been Praying my whole life but when I knew I was done I felt a difference and felt protected even though I was more vulnerable than ever before. GOD is Great. Prayers for anyone struggling in any part of their life.
It's better to educate speaking from experience than it is from statistics and books. I love what he's doing. I would learn more in a classroom environment by listening to him tell his real life stories than I would from a school book that doesn't hold my interest. Hats of to him for his accomplishments. We can go hard in the game. That don't mean we have to be hardened criminals.
Great interview and I'm happy for Dro and your inspiration to a lot of ppl including me good shit Dro thanks cuz u helped me and a lot of ppl this is one of Vlad and Shawn Prez Brest interviews
I been a fan of Dro's for 15+ years. I can honestly say I think the new single "Run outta time" feat Zaytoven is my personal favorite. Such a power song with a great message. If yall haven't heard that shit. Look it up. The video is on RUclips. It's 🔥
Dro should be listed in almost everybody’s top 20 of this down south rappers and it’s going to be hard to see how he spits now on a sobriety tip but I would definitely support it because that purple tape he drop back then was in my rotation for at least 2 to 3 years
Always been a big dro fan… especially being from the old Atlanta….. but the fact that he gives all the glory to the most high GOD, just made me respect homie even more man!!! Keep going KING, much love and respect my G!
Dro was one of my favorite rappers My Boy Scooby- put me on you in 05 that time was one of the best times of my life your energy is unmatched you remind me of me I think you the king of Crunk.
I’m glad that he put the gun aspect in there as well. Because I don’t think a lot of ppl connect that, and it is an important topic to discuss. Before the conversation for the solution can progress.
