    Just made my first apron, its turned out great 😊.
    Ive only been sewing since May 2023, so I'm still learning.
    I've made it for my daughter using fabric with baking utensils on one side and bicycles on the other as she loves baking and riding her bike 🚴‍♀️
    Thank you for the easy to understand video 😊

    Thank you! I made an apron using your measurements then I added to it. The best tip was when you were sewing the straps and neck strap. You used the #5 foot or for my Bernina it is a 5. Anyhow I tried that and it worked fantastically. I could never sew that close and have it look even good would look like a 3 yr old sewed it. Using that foot was the best tip. I used it on the pocket as I didn't make my pocket as wide or deep. I rounded the corners at the bottom and used that foot to follow around and looks so good I can't get over it. I did machine embroidery on my apron as well. It is a gift for my sister's birthday coming up. Thank you for the great tips especially the foot for the straps!!!!

      Hi Michelle, I have used polyester thread on cotton fabric before and it works just fine. If you were going to dye your cotton fabric garment then I would definitely use cotton thread, so it would dye the same color, polyester thread won’t take the dye color. Hope this helps.🤗 Happy sewing! Thank you for watching my videos.🩷🌸

    This looks like one of the EASIEST apron patterns I have found - thank you!
    May I ask did you still use a 1/4” seam allowance stitching all the way around?
    I can see making many aprons in my future - especially for my husband (he does 99% of the cooking) in various fabrics he will not refuse to wear 😊

    • @RobynsLoveofSewing
      @RobynsLoveofSewing  2 года назад +2

      Thank you so much Patricia!🤗💗 I used a 1/2” seam allowance to sew apron together, but when I topstitched the apron at the end I used my edge stitching foot and used the flange as my guide to sew a little less than a 1/4” all the way around entire apron . I hope that makes sense… Wow you are blessed to have a husband that knows how to cook! 🤗 Now he can cook in style with all the aprons you are going to make him!🤗 Thank you so much for watching!💗🤗

    Great video! My adult granddaughter and I are making them together so we have aprons when we make Christmas cookies. I have a couple quick questions: I'm not very good at math. How much material did you use for each side? I'm assuming you used material that is 54" wide? Thank you for saving me the headache of trying to calculating it!

    I'm a beginner. I have a question. It's a great video and I'm looking forward to making the apron. On your pattern/ template, you have markings of where the straps go, but I don't how far from the cut edge of the fabric they should be placed. Have I missed something?

    • @RobynsLoveofSewing
      @RobynsLoveofSewing  Год назад +1

      Hi Louise, I place the straps even with the cut edge of the fabric. In my video I show how I line them up and tape the excess strap down with painters tape and sew straps in place before sewing right sides together. I hope I understood your question. I hope this helps. If it doesn’t , let me know and I will try again. Thank you so much for watching! And welcome to the world of sewing! It is so much fun!🤗💗

    Thank you Susan, for the apron tutorial. I want to make one for my great granddaughter's upcoming birthday. I did as you suggested and paused the pattern and took a screen shot of it but I am confused, because I see where it says to cut 1-19"X25" for the pocket. Shouldn't I cut 1 of each fabric if I want to have a pocket on each side of the apron like you made?
