This video is intended as an informational video of how to change the oil on a Honda Rebel 500 or other motorcycles (most are similar to identical). NOTE: follow all guidance from your motorcycle's owner manual. Torque all oil filters and bolts to specified guidelines.

So after you add the oil and check the filter, what if there's some leaking out? Do you just tighten it more?
just tighten the oil filter as tight as you can with your hand or both hands there should be no problems but yes if its leaking you can tighten it more

The user's manual is located under the seat, correct. The user's manual must be purchased separately.
is it the same process and filter etc for a 2018 500?
Should be exactly the same. Best way to figure it out is the owner's manual as well as using a Honda OEM Motorcycle Parts website to see if it is the same number. Sorry it isn't a direct answer... Thank you for watching!
