@VinhNguyen-vz5hd in the owl house it sounds like she did try everything, but has grown to live with her condition. It sends an important message about not being less valuable because of things like chronic illness or disability.
Gods. I forgot how much I loved Yennifer in Season 2. I love how she walked a very fine morality line. Never quite crossing over into being the bad guy, just being selfish.

@@madamesatan4921 movie hired a specialist in language to create their own language in movie including these spell. They were created . Not true spell.
She doesn’t have her powers because the Babayaga witch took/suppressed it from her. So when the witch was released to the other dimension she got them back
That logic doesn’t make any sense seeming as she was fizzled before she even met her

The witch literally taunted her the whole show and tried to trick her to sacrifice Ciri in return for her powers. She literally had them and used them as black mail towards Yennefer. Yennefer immediately got her powers after the witch was sent to her dimension- she was manipulated into thinking she lost her own powers. It wasn’t her. It was the witch sis @Lumatic

Can someone explain to me why she lost her power? And how exactly did she got it back? All i know is the black mother possessed her and she had her powers back. I didn't play the games nor read the books. So i'm alittle confuse. 😅
i believe she lost it because of that fire spell she casted and she sacrificed her magic to cast it

@@jdg462 i rewatched it again and Yeneffer said ' I felt it come back when i ' Gerald 'When you sacrifice yourself for Ciri'. So i think it was the act of selflessness that gave her powers back. 🤷♂️
I think it’s because she keep pushing and denying herself. The first scene she in that hut when she trying perform that lifting spell you can hear the magic sound in the background almost coming up. She denied herself and gave up. Like a psychological problem. Also when she sacrifice herself for ciri she said magic wasn’t she has been missing , means she have it all the time just can’t perform it. She cut her wrist just like the first sence that happened in the vision at that hut means she has untied knot in her heart and regain the confidence and also the power. I think this thoughts might look more reasonable , it can related with all the small details from the series.

Magic in that world is called chaos and in order to perform it you have to sacrifice something. Give and get kind of situation. And i think she used it too much and just straight up lost it
She lost her magic after unleashing fire on the nifilgaardians last season. Chaos left her cause she hadn't given the worth of what was taken to cast the magic at the battle of Sodden. At least that what I thought at the beginning of season 2.

@@madamesatan4921 there were some sorcers who were willing to sacrificed their organs , limbs or soul just to perform those dangerous but powerful magic, you can see that from some sense from season 2 too. I think yenefer lost her magic because she keep pushing herself and deny herself.
How did she get her magic back?
She sacrificed herself to be vassal for the old witch they released her in the monolist.

@@mayiskerimxanov6052 yeah true, the series doesn't actually explain how the fire magic affects the sorcerers, but the fact is the fire magic is forbidden for them because it uses the sorcerer as a source and can exhaust their power, Yennefer said smth like that when she taught Ciri
