What do you mean you sucked on it? My daughter bought a surfboard that’s got a ding and we don’t know if we should take it out.

Ok - so if you suck on a closed surface, nothing gives. If you suck on a ding with a puncture, you'll know instantly.
Basically, if the ding feels the same as any other spot on the board, you're good to go.
