Carla

Carla is the 2012 Queensland State Ski Champion in the 30-34 years age group.
The first part of this clip features video taken a few days after winning her title.
The second part of the clip features a comparison of her technique using the new video and video taken from her very first session with me 8 months ago.
Despite the strong wind and tidal flow she endured in the most recent session, Carla's technique looks more powerful with much more leg drive and body twist. Carla's top arm extends lower and flatter now and her length of stroke is longer.
Prior to filming these sessions, Carla was asked to paddle at 90% effort. She is visable quicker now and can achieve a much higher tempo at the same perceived exertion.
Some things that Carla can work on are; fully extending her top arm at the same height as her pulling arm/blade exits the water. Carla also needs to improve her timing of her leg drive on the catch and pull phase.
