What is difficult to take during the whole episode every week is the fact that Kim speaks perfect Urdu without having any understanding of Pakistani culture in this day and age. Kim is a misfit. Everything else is perfect.

This show’s old charm is so beautiful 🥹🥹 the reality of normal families in punjab and Pakistan, and nri families too. Its so realistic and simple , love it.
Liking the acting of every character especially maya and bilal but somehow kims character is lacking in many ways otherwise the story line is so refreshing and nice the chemistry between both the actors is so good
Its not about speaking perfect urdu but about the culture I am sure your kids know many things about our culture foe e.g respecting elders which kim doesn't know and there are many other things in her character which is lacking

I agree there are definite cultural differences, however her behavior is rude by any standards. Believe me, I know because as a desi American, who never learned to read or write Urdu. I made an effort to learn to speak as well as possible. I would never behave like her nor would any American with any kind of manners. Most would at least apologize for any inadvertent mistakes & try to correct it. In my experience , this shouldn’t be a generalized view of Americans, rather a “Kim” character flaw.

Kim is so ridiculous. Doubting others and gaslighting them “jhoot bhol raha hai” is very contrary to American culture especially those raised in well-to-do households such as a supposedly respectable doctor Naveed. And calling someone a terrorist….. I can’t even imagine. Unless she is a homeless person or a white trash/ living in a very poor/uneducated part of America, no one would speak like her. People are more politically correct in America than any other culture/country so this depiction goes to show that the writer has zero exposure or understanding of American culture
Honestly, i really wanna enjoy this drama but Kim's character is a misfit. It ruins the entire episode for me. She has become quite annoying too and i feel that Maya's performance is also not that great in this one. If this continues, the audience is gonna loose interest soon!

I like the actor. He's simple and sweet. Not the macho hero type! A new face with a very pleasant personality. Another good episode!! PLEASE DON'T ENCOURAGE THOSE WHO BEG FOR LIKES ON DRAMA WEBSITES. It looks very cheap and undignified. Muslims should be insulted by this nonsense, not encourage it, because it seriously degrades Islam!!
The entire first scene when both were in the same room was not only unnecessary but, honestly, OTT, also OTT acting of KIM, aka a fake desi (brown), acted like a 6 yr old! Both actors could have performed it maturely, and it would have made some sense anyways; this drama is not making much sense this far...

This is a very weird, false depiction of Pakistani Americans. Sure, there are definitely American born confused Desis….but they don’t speak Urdu. Language is a big step towards learning culture here and being involved in a sense of community. I’m not connecting with this aspect at all. 😬

This serial is so good besides the fact that dawood who chooses to wear the kurta salwar is joked about as a “terrorist” by Kim. Very ignorant and harmful writing by the writers. Desis living abroad aren’t that level of stupid to think like that. Other than that, lovely serial ❤️

I agree there are definite cultural differences, however her behavior is rude by any standards.
Believe me, I know because as a desi American, who never learned to read or write Urdu. I made an effort to learn to speak as well as possible. I would never behave like her nor would any American with any kind of manners.
Most would at least apologize for any inadvertent mistakes & try to correct it.
In my experience , this shouldn’t be a generalized view of Americans, rather a “Kim” character flaw.

Honestly, i really wanna enjoy this drama but Kim's character is a misfit. It ruins the entire episode for me. She has become quite annoying too and i feel that Maya's performance is also not that great in this one. If this continues, the audience is gonna loose interest soon!

The entire first scene when both were in the same room was not only unnecessary but, honestly, OTT, also OTT acting of KIM, aka a fake desi (brown), acted like a 6 yr old! Both actors could have performed it maturely, and it would have made some sense anyways; this drama is not making much sense this far...
