Two funeral laugh stories from my life: 1) I’m a freshman in college and my teacher tells a story about her grandmother who was in a wheelchair being wheeled off the plane and just left alone on the tarmac. In my head this image was so funny and I burst out laughing and she just glared at me. 2) At my grandfathers funeral, the lady reading from the Bible sounded like the guy from Monty Python and the Holy Grail who read the holy hand grenade instructions. I told my brother that’s who she sounded like and we were trying so hard to hold in the laughter. Literal funeral laugh…

i read a two sentence horror story that haunts me to this day. it read, the best thing about being a serial killer is telling their loved ones, you did everything you could to save them. makes me so scared to go to the doctor now. do you know that if you are over 75 years old, if you have a heart attack in a hospital they won't even bother trying to resuscitate you. they just put it down to natural causes and your time to go. it's an unwritten rule. we had to beg the hospital that if my dad has a heart attack we'd like you to perform cpr please or we'd sue them so finally the agreed they would.
We were "new" in town (moved back). My kid was being a little saucy to another kid at the park as we were leaving, and I didn't like it. So I talk to her about it on the way out and explained to her to not be rude to people because they could turn out to be our new neighbors, and that would suck to make enemies with people you have to live near. Within 20 minutes of arriving home, we happened to be in our front yard. A van drove by with those kids, and they called out the window, "Hey, we just saw you at the park." My kid's jaw dropped and said "mom you were right. They are our neighbors!" Turned out it was their grandma's house, but I was so thankful the lesson came across quickly and effectively. 😅😊

1:04:45 As a Yorkshire man, I feel like we have a lot of crossover with Florida man. I’ve seen someone get punched for throwing a kebab at a woman’s face. Kebab man did not have a good time. It wasn’t even late in the evening either. I’ve seen someone punch a cyclist for going off the road and onto the pavement into someone. Man, Leeds, Sheffield and Barnsley were wild for no reason when I was a teenager. I once ID’d a guy for an 18 game and he threatened to come back and stab me after we closed. I had another one where my boss growled at a guy in the store and they went out to the car park and now they’re friends! Does that happen in Florida? Friendship through violence? Are you kind to English ‘northern’ expats in Florida? We’re supposedly like Americans from the south. Whats weird to think is that I may have smoked a lot more Cuban cigars than you guys though.
