As an attendee, I would say here are 3 things that @earnyourleisure has to address to get ready for the next #InvestFest ! 1) Improved audio and seating within the main spaces. 2) Offering Master Classes or Keynote “ speeches” that includes guided presentations or materials, walk-through steps, and strategies ( almost every session was Q&A based making it very difficult to walk away with information and insight around some of the topics that were being provided. We left with a lot of soundbites, but not information.) 3) Improve signage, logistics, and increase of personnel throughout the event (An event must have a production company and or logistics company to support the flow of events, pivot schedules in real time when hiccups occur, and flow attendees throughout various spaces with an event of this size .)

Agreed. I think we have to learn the difference between feedback and being negative. Many people who were disappointed are highlighting valid issues. So the best thing to do is own it and improve for next year. We have to stop accusing people of tearing tearing down Blk people because they are giving constructive criticism. I like EYL. But I didn’t leave feeling like I wanted to return next year. And I had the same concerns. I have been to many a conference. The highlight of an investment conference cant be “nobody fought, the vendor fair and the vibe.” They need to really think about the purpose, desired outcomes and intentionally planning for those outcomes. And finally, they need people who know how to manage a large conference. Bigger isn’t always better - you have to grow with intention. But they have to listen ❤

I like rashad , He is a great speaker but not a single thing was learned at invest fest... it's no beef but he is an excellent salesman I went to investfest openminded and left with nothing of value education wise.
I had fun and if that's the goal they 1000% delivered . But to say ppl got financial education there is just a bunch of lies.
So he can sit up there and spread all of that hooplah the event was 98% concert/party vibes 2% opportunity.
Which isn't a problem cuz there's a market for that and ppl need to understand that before they call Investfest a scam.
It's not a scam it's just a fun get together almost like a finance influencer cookout.
That's all it is don't go there thinking it's a business conference it's a concert with business breakout elements.

nothing of actual substance you will leave with tons of motivation
but nothing in terms of tactics, skills, lessons.
Then in between are legit rap performances..
the small breakout sessions have more game but they’re too short to actually get value out of them.
This is why I call it a financial influencer cook out you’re going for vibes and to meet ppl and party.
There isn’t any game being given out but there’s tons of fun, messages of hope and ofc encouraging ppl to spend money

After investfest I called him and let him know I'm in and I doubled the amount he was asking. This is the result of the real estate advice that was given there ny some of the speakers. I'm also currently looking for homes to buy in different states. I started an llc about 8 months ago, but hadn't started actually working on getting the company up and running, atleast I haven't been consistent with it. I was working on it slowly. Now I'm geeked
I contacted a few Business Attorneys and am confident I will have that business open within the nexy 3 months. There really was a lot of good info there. My omly issue is with myself. These people paid hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. These people are your supporters, they MADE the success you're currently enjoying. You didn't really address their concerns directly at all, you went on an unnecessary rant. I unsubscribed from EYL awhile ago because although I'm happy for your success & you guys give great advice. It seems like as the years went on, you guys are getting more & more out of touch, arrogant, among other things. Yes, enjoy your successes, you're entitled to it because you guys worked hard for it. But humble thyself Brotha & never forget what got you guys to this point in the first place. Yes, address the trolls & critics accordingly but not at the expense of your true supporters who've been with you guys since day one, like myself. For the true supporters who had valid concerns, simply apologize & give details or suggestions on how you'll make your next Invest Fest better. Don't go on a rant, address the issue head on, follow through on the methods you will take to make the next event better. And in due time, you probably won't get as many critics as you do now. Invest fest is for the people selling courses…not for the culture, not for the people they claim they want to help because there is no money in it. My criticism is the whole thing is hypocritical can’t claim you are helping people save money by robbing them. If EYL is about business/investing let them start a non-profit for financial literacy and stop pretending they are not a sales funnel for courses.

All I am saying is if you are not making money from your business already you shouldn’t spend your last dollars to go Invest Fest. Which is what some of the people who went would do with the “hope” of finding something to save them. Really a smart brother like you needs a festival to start a business? How did other successful black people start businesses without Invest Fest? I hope that $250 turns into millions as they promised. The economy is about to turn and people are not ready. EYL should be straight with people for example saying all are welcome but if you don’t have saving, if this your last dollar Invest Fest won’t save you. It’s not a lottery. Sad you talk about investing with your people when that starts at home. Some people may spend money to feed their children thinking Invest Fest will save them. Same money can be used to go to community college or to get a skill. I am all about supporting our people but lying to ourselves about what we spend our money will only hold us back. Invest Fest was great considering the magnitude of the event. If you went looking for issues to complain about you will find them considering that was EYL first Invest Fest of this size. It will get better each time that they do it. People really don't understand the complex logistics and money spent to have an event of this magnitude with no crime/injuries. I think some of our negative ass people focus on the wrong shit! Who cares what the people wore on stage. The fact of the matter is there are some legitimate issues that I'm sure they will take the feedback and correct going forward. Salute EYL!! Did anyone receive information that they could use to make their lives better? that is what really matters.

Yes networking can get you in rooms but it's very hard to build genuine connections after a 3 day conference. Most these events requires an upsell of another high ticket product to learn something. The money is in throwing these conferences. I think Tony wants the recognition but should remain true to his brand and stand on his own. These people are rather clueless to their own blindspots of how they are helping to make the problem worse in our community. They built their wealth off of scavengerism of the community. That's what wholesaling, house flipping, selling courses, crypto, etc is. They also teach people to be scavengers. For Rashad to skate criticism by saying "I'm not an activist or political person" "we're just having fun" "I come from nothing" shows a lack of maturity. It shows that they do not understand the times we are in, the MASSIVE distraction and impediment they are to the community and activist trying to do the politics to uplift the entire collective and the toxic egos they have developed from their success.
What they do is rooted in hyper-individualism masked in collective uplift and because they don't know the data and don't have the contextual understanding of the severity and the immediacy of our problem, they think they are doing something to help when in fact they are accelerating the collapse of the group. That's why you have to be political because politics is your life and business, wealth and politics are intertwined. These things cannot be disjointed and his desire to separate from politics is another way of saying "I DON'T WANT ACCOUNTABILITY." Policies are what uplifts a group not performance and these guys are performers.
White America didn't establish a 120 trillion dollar wealth divide in this country in less than 30 years by hosting an #investfest. They did it by using wealth-building policies like the New Deal, the GI Bill, FHA loans, redlining, Quantative Easing, the tax code and engaging in real politics that they weaponized again us.
It is the lack of information coupled with the ego of these people including Tony that keeps them from seeing the bigger picture. The overuse of the term "the culture" is a PROBLEM and an display of intellectual laziness. Pointing out that there were no fights or that people were crying after hearing people on stage is not an indication of a group in economic collapse being able to reverse that reality. It's just a bunch of people using marketing strategies to feed on the emotions and desperation of people whom they can exploit. If you never have a commitment to changing the system but only to teaching people how to exploit it, a system that has been fine tuned to exploit us as a group by making us a contagion to wealth, then you are nothing but a person training other black people to exploit their community as a means of escapeism.

I don’t respect these dudes because they didn’t get there money by starting growing and managing a profitable business.

I don't either. Everytime they speak all you hear is people hating on us. Show me a detailed case study of someone who went to Investfest and applied it to something . Show me the money.

I really appreciate this video ! I hate they have to explain themselves every step of the way but if it gives the negative Nancy’s an answer whatever ! They’re only on year 3 and people want them on the same level as festivals that are on year 20! These guys are doing something that has never been done before and people want to find stuff to complain about
