The multitude of water-washed cobbles used in the construction of the haunted church is astounding. Each and every one has been artfully positioned....what a pleasure to the eye. Thanks for another fine topic!
Thank you for watching. It is a fantastic place. It was a bit disappointing that they had fenced off the outer area but it is private land so at least they do allow the public inside
@@Lonigo77 No, it's absolutely standard around these parts. I've a brick and flint garden wall. The house just up the road is flint. All the local churches are made of flint. Flint from the south east of England was traded throughout Europe in the stone age. You can barely put a spade in the ground around here without hitting a flint.
Great to learn about this aspect of Norfolk. In my area flint is rare....so to see it used as common construction material was quite startling. Thanks! :-)
This is so beautifully done! And this is really interesting information. I don't know how this popped up and my feed, but I'm so glad it did and I'm so glad that I clicked on it! Thank you for creating this really interesting video.
I just found your site yesterday and can’t believe how enthralled I’ve become with your work. It is so incredibly interesting! Please continue to post the way you have been. It would’ve been nice if you had scanned those pictures a little more that were in the second church , but who can complain about what you do. Thank you so very much.
Today your channel was on my YT recommendations; suscribed because it is a true gem. I love everything you show us, your country, and all. Cheers. 😊👋🇲🇽
I was thinking about what would have been found in a paranormal investigation at the old St. Mary's. I bet it would be very creepy there at night!😮😮😮 Thank you again for an interesting tour! I am from the US and have been to the UK several times. These videos make me want to come back and explore some more!😃👍👍♥️
Yes it would be very creepy at night. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I hope you can make it back across the pond one day for some more exploring. I have been to the USA a couple of times and I really won’t to go back, to check out some more of your fantastic national parks
I don't know why your channel came up on suggested videos but I'm very happy it did. I appreciate looking at this church without verbal comment. It helps me get the feel of the surroundings. I hope that you post more content. Will be looking at your other videos oh, and I subscribed. Thank you I wonder what the windows would have looked like.
@@QuietlyExploring I missed it and then when you went to the other church I thought maybe it was a newer version but wasn't sure. I always like to look up the history of something that attracts me. Thanks!
If a witches wooden leg grew into an oak tree, I wonder why they didn't just cut it down. Poor maintenance practices ruin many buildings. Love your posts!
Sorry for the late reply.RUclips did not have the translate button on your comment to start with. For me it was Kilkenny draught .it’s the best pint i ever had.I still think about that pint often. I even considered flying to Dublin for the day just to buy another pint 👍
I would have liked it better if you had read the commentary instead of just having us read it. Sometimes the white lettering mixes with background and it can't be read. By the way, trapped has two p's. Beautiful scenery. Thanks.
It is a lovely place. I was a bit gutted they recently put the wooden fence up to stop people walking around the outside, but it is all private land so at least they do allow people inside

How rude of me not to thank you for posting this - nice photography, mate!
Thanks mate

Water-washed cobbles? No, they're flints. Picked from the local fields every spring after ploughing.
Got it. Even more amazing!

Thank you so much. I have never spoken in any of the videos. Because I agree it is better to help take in the atmosphere of the place.
Loved it! Thanks.
Thanks for watching
Did you discover the name of the church. Yes nice video!
Thank you. It’s at the beginning of the video.it’s st Mary’s.

Another great video
Thank you
The tree in the church is amazing.

How come the curses I put on churches never do anything?
I wonder how many houses and other structure's have been built from salvage from this church
That would be really interesting to now
where abouts is this
East Somerton ,Norfolk, England
Tree seems a little small in circumference for 8 or 9 centuries old.

Oh that's not cursed. It's too beautiful for that. Nature scared the curse away.

Just checking. You don't really think there is any such thing as a curse, or a witch, do you?
Oh you gotta be buried alive for curses to work? Ok no thanks.
I've been here as they say witches leg the tree in the middle.i have a video to
Its a very popular place.I think i was the only one in norfolk who had not been lol
