Hello guys, so I made video about turbo sounds in nfs games. Whistles and noises that turbo makes. Pick your best sounds but for me best are undeground series, shift 2 and NFS 2015. I used random cars and not those what are maybe best aounding.

In NFS Pro Street u can change turbo sound by installing different brands of Turbos or SuperCharger ;)

Same as in Underground. 'Bout 15 different turbo sounds,3 tiers,5 makes. A lot of good turbo sounds for such an old game.

Prostreet is no.1 imo
I loved 2015 because of the turbo flutter, i used to just rev it all day and drive around just to hear it. Now its all gone in payback after you reach lvl18 cards

You actually just have to build an lvl 16 turbo with no specials in it
e.g. you buy a R34
Stock it up instantly with these extra packs ( forgot the name ) and then your hole set-up is on grey and level 16
Then you can buy every card you want for everything except the turbo
He needs to be a gray and lvl 16 card
Drive in your garage and instantly out
There you have your turbo flutter like in the 2015 nfs
It's back in heat tho... The turbos sound amazing and you can customize exhaust sound.

You should do a history of big jumps in NFS games. I remember playing games like underground, most wanted, and carbon, when you catch some big air, there's always that cinematic view that's always so satisfying to watch.

In MW 2005, it was called "Game Moment Camera" (Pause menu - Options - Gameplay)
I'd always turn it off, especially when you are in pursuit.
I got some experience when I was in pursuit in level 4 heat, I was driving through the pursuit breaker and there was a spike strip nearby. The cinematic camera was played. After that, my car was unintentionally drive through the spike. And you know the ending.

@@arsyam_7 Gotta use that speed breaker. It will save, your, life. I'm telling you, especially through the gas stations. Sometimes when I play MW I hit the gas tank and my car goes to a complete stop as if it's a solid wall without speed breaker. With it, you'll glide through the station like a hot knife through butter. And, to go through roadblocks easier in higher heat levels, what I do is use SB, and go for the rear side of the vehicle. It's easier to wreck the cop car. Trust me, I still play the game and go crazy with hour long pursuits, taking out 200+ units per chase.
8:30 NFS2015 so far, this game has the best turbo sounds out of any racing game

CEO said they want to bring back street racing vs cops in next need for speed which will prob come out this year

Tbh I think carbon has the best sounds period out of all of the nfs games. Especially like the muscles cars I loved to hear the corvette switch gears. But the lambos and porsches sounded very good too. Also the BMW M3 GTR I think that's what it's called had the most amazing sound.

@@urmom-hi3mo If you want to be precise, being a reboot of the franchise, it was called "Need For Speed". 2015 is a suffix we fans added to be able to differentiate it from the other games when mentioned NFS. I call it 2015 since I play it on PS4.

I love how the turbo sound of Underground (3rd Tier 1st Make) prevails all the way to MW and Carbon as the big engine turbo sound. It's just awesome

Shift 2 and pro street get the sound to back it actually sounds in real life. Most wanted still gets an honorable mention but having various type of sounds to differentiate big to small blocks and turbos from superchargers
All they had to do was keep shift driving Physics with current day customization
In und and und2 in career if you pick different manufacturers when you upgrade your turbo it would make different sounds

Yeah, that's the transmission. Its a very loud one due to how different it is from your stock transmission

Certain cars in underground 2 (not sure of underground 1) have different turbo sounds, I think you should have included those

I think that "turbo sound" that constantly gets higher in nfs shift is actually the straight cut gears. But idk tho

it has turbos AND straight cut gears. you hear the spool every time. straight cut gears dont spool
The ProStreet cars have centrifugal superchargers on them - not quite turbos, but efficient and deliver power in a manner that could be considered a step between super and turbochargers. You can tell them apart by the way they build up boost (turbos spool up quickly past a point, while centrifugal chargers build boost with RPM) and the sound, since there's no blow-off or wastegate noise.
On most Grip cars, the "charger" upgrade is the centrifugal supercharger. If it specifically states turbocharger, then it's just that ;)
U can choose what u want in prostreet ;) I have E46 grip car on Pro Street with HKS turbocharger (means HKS blowoff also) and that sound is pretty nice. Also u can change type of turbo by brand in PS and sound with it too ..
I don't know if you just meant in game but centrifugal superchargers do make flutters and BOV noises if one is installed, they're the same as a turbos sound wise, just the spool is constant and usually a different pitch because of the belt.

For most wanted 2005 you should choose the stock Golf turbo stutter it's amazing
My favorites for turbo sounds are underground 2, mw 2012 and nfs 2015

I seems to have forgotten how good and meaty the SHIFT ones feel. True raw metal and gas. Others have their audio overcompressed and at very low bit-rate.
This is enjoyable to hear and watch this especially in 2019, I'm glad there is still need for speed fans out there I love need for speed 2015😊

Carbon followed by 2015. I remember plugging headphones in when playing carbon and you could hear all sorts of turbo sounds including surge. Spool also builds up with the revs and tapers off as though the turbo is losing power like real life.
2015 combines it all into a more realistic sound as its more levelled out

That's an Inline 6 buddy, the RX7 has a Rotary motor, but the Skyline GTR has an RB26, which is still an Inline 6
@@hairpintv4403 you should use your ears again bro. The non stage R34 in underground is the true RB sound, the modified engine ones. Not so much, they pretty much swapped the RB to a V6, after the V6 is a rotary (a little bit). You should read my comment with details and use your ears again

Apart from the turbo sound, I liked the fact that we could also hear the sound of shifting gears, it gave that feeling of actually pressing down on the clutch as you played.
NFS sound design has always been great. The last 2 games made everything quiet for whatever reason tho.

These videos are always entertaining to watch! Can you do Koenigsegg evolution in NFS video next? And seriously, use the proper widescreen fix for Underground 1 and 2 (it no longer has the issues that it used to have, like that weird text on the side that's thankfully gone) and the Generic Fix for Undercover (let's you turn off or adjust the bloom, and some other smaller improvements).

Not sure if I’m the only one here but I personally loved 2012 Most Wanted. Thought the cars sounded awesome, the graphics were unreal for the time and the driving for the most part was enjoyable. It wasn’t the perfect experience but overall pretty decent and compared to today’s NFS games, I’d say made much better and overall better polished.
