  • In visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire New Mexico, I got a somber education in some of the events surrounding this awful war. I share with you what I saw and a little of what I learned.
I am a single female traveler, wandering the USA in my 2014 Phoenix Cruiser with my beautiful mixed breed dog Jazzy. Living life on the road for 365 days a year, I find joy in the company of wonderful friends and the breathtaking sights our country offers.
Whether it's the tranquility of a quiet sunrise or the camaraderie of nomadic friendships, each moment is a cherished chapter.
I usually choose the road less traveled, often dry camping without services. My electrical needs are met by solar power, harnessing the sun's energy to charge my house batteries.
If you find joy in the exploration of the open road, the beauty of nature, and the tales of a solo nomad, hit that Subscribe button and Ring the Bell for notifications. Let's embark on this journey together.
Thank you for being a part of my RUclips community.
May the road ahead be filled with peace, blessings, and endless discoveries.

It’s always interesting how you and I could’ve been in the same location and had what appear to be such different experiences. Not that one is better than the other, but just different. I enjoyed your experience and commentary!

@@sally_forth it's all about perspective so no two people will ever have the same experience. I look forward to seeing your video on the memorial. I don't think you've posted that one yet... Unless I missed it??

The reason for this memorial is tragic but it’s a lovely spot. My husband did three tours as a Green Beret. It meant a lot to him to stroll through this place.

This is a very well thought out and well planned memorial. Very touching.

    Just a common soldier
"He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion, telling stories of the past.
Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one.
And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors, his tales became a joke,"

@@iamg000 thank you for sharing. The life of a surviving war soldier is not an easy one.
