The guy who owns it obviously knows exactly what works and buys quality gear. I'd have loved Ronny to have asked him how much it all cost. The only way I could take seven months off work to drive around Australia would be to win the lottery. Really wished I'd have studied harder at school.;-)
Studying at school is kind of irrelevant, I've got mates that hardly even went to school that are seriously cashed up. Just worked hard and smart, mostly by running their own businesses instead of being employed and working for someone else's dreams.
Great Modified. What a setup! If I had a dream list of mods - I think this one would tick everyone. Seems a really easy going bloke, who spends he’s hard earned on something he loves. Good onya 👍
Should have been titled "The Prado Swiss Army Edition" Only thing missing is some Gull-Wing rear windows. I'd love to see his Vehicle Insurances Additions section
Great work on the prado. I thought I had gone a bit overboard with mods but you leave me for dead. Only thing though have you weighed the prado, I have the Lovells 3500 kgs GVM upgrade no upgrade on fuel tank , no water tank, no rear bar with extra wheel and only my wife and I and with the 240 kgs for towball weight from our caravan and we are near the limit. Other than that great job.
A soon as I saw your 150 I siad , thats over GVM but at 15:10 you have the upgrade, good work. I had ST MAxx on my GU about 7 years ago, never again. I had the fronts replaced to splitting and saw toothing 6 times! At least Coopers covered it but it was too inconvenient and I ended up with mismatched tires for wear as the rears were fine. Also they had NO grip in the wet, at all. Bit like BFGs, not for on road at all. Currently running D697s on the 150, and at 50,000kms they are hard and brittle, will do for school runs but not staying. The Amarok has Falken ATw3, these are GOLD. Check them out, really bloody good tire! Currently have the same model as you, and a V6 Amarok (lifted and 31"), debating which one to deck out for trips, my heart says Amarok (power!) and my head says Prado (dependable!).
Great Vid as always.. love your work.. great set up in the Prado and Chris is a very nice fellow.. had the pleasure of meeting him on the Iraelite Bay trip.. Joe...
Great review and a really well setup Prado. Have had my 150 for almost 9 years and have been in every state in OZ in it at some stage, all be it briefly. If I add one locker, a water tank, long range tank, rear wheel carrier, GVM upgrade and a solar panel, i will be very close to this one. In 2 years when I can start to travel a lot more, a couple of these mods will be added along with a new clutch to my old school manual.
Its better than the troopy. Its automatic, has got rear doors, is better on Tarmac, more modern and is less noisy and lighter.Troopy only wins with space and extreme off road driveability.I would take the prado anyday
Really enjoyed seeing that awesome setup with all the fruit. This otherwise fit Dad got a huge tummy at 26mins + when talking about pies, that tyre placement was unfortunate LOL. Gee that beers didnt touch the sides Ronny. Good video mate
Great job on turning a very capable 4WD into as good as it gets. Thanks for allowing us to see it. FWIW the 2.8 engine appeared later in 2015. My 2.8 has a build date of July 2015.
Great build. Cooper STmaxx is great in every terrain, last long. Yes, a bit noisier and bit less grip on wet road, but not by much, surprisingly well on bitumen. AT3 as good as stock on bitumen, but a lot softer structure than STmaxx.
Great video Ronny , he should buy a cheap good quality OBD reader , any sensor issues , you can delete the code and it will allow you to change to 4lo , just for back up , the code will come back eventually . In my app you can save the code and all the readings for future reference before deleting, helpful when you really need it .
@@burnsie4x433 oh okay 👍, iv had a repetitive issue with my 2010 prado o2 sensor , it kept showing the 4lo, engine and traction control combo warning lights , i would just delete the code when i needed to till i could fix it . Just thought i share , love your rig
Nice, cool truck...kindly tell me about the following: 1. I hear that Prado's suffer from " overturning " easily...How is this taken care of when you build a rig like this? 2. Having a off-road like this in Africa is so attractive to thieves and robbers...when parked, or visiting remote villages...How can one take care of this? 3. How much (approx.) does this kind of build cost? 4. Suppose someone wants to import an already modified truck like this from Australia to Kenya? ...Possible?
Nice review. We have a built out Range Rover L322, so plenty of parallels - and good ideas. You forgot the buttons at the end of the vid, Ronny. You guys are just pointing at the sky :-p
Love my prado , he’s setup is full on however I’d like to know what the GVM is .I don’t have half the amount of gear he has and I’m already on 2.7 t . GVM I think is about 2.9 t so not much room to move after you put the family in mine .
I’m curious whether the 3.0 diesel power is enough to handle all that load, and how much the fuel efficiency suffered with all the mods. Also whAt’s that trailer they are using? Seems its size is perfect for prado
A question I have is; Was there any modifications done to accommodate the 275/70/17 other than a 2" lift? Any cutting of plastic ect. As I noticed the front Mud flaps are still in place. Any help feed back would be greatly appreciated. And as usual another fantastic vid with spot on content.
@@ShoeysAdventures there are various brands, just curious which he used. I'm currently eyeing off one and be keen to know which way he went. I've found 4 including BD this far
He mentions that 32.5 inch tires are the maximum legal size tires on a Prado while Ronny has 34.5s on his 70 series. . . How does Australia determine max tire size??? Here in Europe--like in the USA--there are no limits.
We're allowed 50mm larger diameter than the largest size stated on the tyre placard. So a 265/65R17 is approx. 776mm which means you can fit a tyre up to 826mm overall diameter. The largest tyre that can legally be fitted to this vehicle is a 275/70R17 with an overall diameter around 817mm. Hope that helps :)
The guy who owns it obviously knows exactly what works and buys quality gear. I'd have loved Ronny to have asked him how much it all cost. The only way I could take seven months off work to drive around Australia would be to win the lottery. Really wished I'd have studied harder at school.;-)
La Sol I couldn’t afford to take seven months off work never mind fit out a new Prado with top quality kit.
Studying at school is kind of irrelevant, I've got mates that hardly even went to school that are seriously cashed up

The ARB guys must get a big smile when this guy rocks up. Even rocks their cap
Just bought a 150 myself and this is thing is some serious inspiration.
Quality build and good video covering the details without any BS.
0actiondan0 enjoy the adventure that is modding a 150 🤙🏻
"We did a 7 month trip, pulled a van around the Country " "oh ok, how long for?" "7 months" Ronny "oh nice" lmao
🤣🤣 didn’t even pickup on that during editing
Yay, finally the 150 is here, awesome setup 👍🚗
very well setup 150 Chris, top review Ronny, the most modified 150 so far
Great Modified. What a setup! If I had a dream list of mods - I think this one would tick everyone.

That's a proper modified Prado, love it.

Quang Lam my man 🙏
People are going to the Prado's like never before, they're finally admitting they're a great all round 4x4 vehicle.
Great video mate.
Noticed a lot of editing in this one. You matched them up nicely.
Keep up the awesome work :)
This is one of the more impressive prado set ups on youtube

D W I hate having to do a gvm is getting harder too
Awesome Vid Ronny, when you want a 2.8 let me know!!
About time Ronny, been waiting for a 150 review, thanks, great episode. Looks like you needed a couple of stubby holders mate, warm beer sucks haha
Ronny this would have to be the best setup vehicle on modified short of the 4xoverland troopcarrier. Such an interesting episode. Cheers
Its better than the troopy. Its automatic, has got rear doors, is better on Tarmac, more modern and is less noisy and lighter.Troopy only wins with space and extreme off road driveability.I would take the prado anyday
Absolutely love the prado and very tastefully done. Thanks for covering this Ronny.

Max Bancroft correct
Nice setup. He invests in quality gear. Haven't seen that Camo Engel bag before, looks awesome.
That's good work. That heat drains you fast. Thank you for the hard work.
I love my 1kd Prado 150. This one is awesome but that poor little 4 cylinder is having a hard life!
Shared with WA Prado 4x4 on facebook 🤙🏻

Nice one 👍 good to see a 150, thanks Ronny!
TLC150 agreed
'its the three litre' 'oh so its not the 2.8' classic ron commentary
Of which he has now bought😆
150 - the video I've been hoping for. dream set-up too.
Best Modified episode.
Clean setup - very tasteful.
That is an awesome Prado. Cheers Steve
I get the feeling this guy has never said no to any 4wd accessories sales rep .
finally a 150 series
Bleak Hollow 🤙🏻
Finally the Prado 150 My car. Thank you Ronny.
David Martins Agee worth it 🤙🏻

there is a lot going on in the back for sure, good wagon.
This is a sick rig!
New drinking game guys:
Take 1 shot everytime this guy says UMM 😊
great setup mate. Go the Prado 🤙
Great car, people should set up the kitchens /tables /tents in these videos , that way we can see exactly how good it is
Finally great 150 setup, but men all that gear + a caravan must be really heavy and taxing on the d4d
Drifta also do fantastic camper trailers too Ronny!
Excellent cargo setup
Great video once again, drinking beer without a stubbie cooler is like strange.
Damn this guy has thought of everything, must have taken forever to set this rig up
Just grabbed a Prado keen on doing some of this, not all wow.
LLOD sent me subbed! Sweet channel great video.
Absurd question.. but yeah. Its rohnny dahl
very good AD,NICE JOB
Awesome Prado!

Yael Ri14 never heard that one.
Can you please tell me how to do the GVM upgrade and is it bolster all round and the springs in the back please as I have a 150 as well
Nice review. We have a built out Range Rover L322, so plenty of parallels - and good ideas.
You forgot the buttons at the end of the vid, Ronny. You guys are just pointing at the sky :-p
Let's see the rangie
Good looking Prado
This Prado is ready for the bloody apocalypses
well done. very good car
Fortuner should be on the list for you to film a modified episode.
Hey Ronny, do you know if 275/70/17s fit without the body mount chop?
very nice.
Love my prado , he’s setup is full on however I’d like to know what the GVM is .I don’t have half the amount of gear he has and I’m already on 2.7 t . GVM I think is about 2.9 t so not much room to move after you put the family in mine .
I’d bet my left nut if you put it over a weigh bridge, even with suspension upgrade he’s already over gvm.
Only you could make talk about color interesting
that is a nice prado !
love the Prado. Wish they'd chage the name though. " Prado " sounds like a Spanish savoury biscuit
prado awesome edition😎😊
White is the only car color for the desert.
What a rig!! Is WA the only state that has 7 character number plates?
Abs Hassan actually we can go up to 9
Yes
Was this filmed in the Wheatbelt??
I’ve never seen a shopping trolley so modded
That water flow meter!. It will be the answer to my problems. So simple. Where can I find one please?
Or just a brand name?
Check out the link, this is the one I got 👍 www.topargee.com.au/water-tank-gauges.html
Can you please add Towing capacity🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m curious whether the 3.0 diesel power is enough to handle all that load, and how much the fuel efficiency suffered with all the mods.
Also whAt’s that trailer they are using? Seems its size is perfect for prado
Hey ronny you should do another vid of a PXII ranger
go the autovox rear veiw camera from ebay pretty pricy but gives you the best vision for night driving
what an awesome setup!! not sure if it was mentioned but how’s the fuel economy?
A lot of weight goes in mine similar to this, economy on the highway went from 9-11, offload stays around 13
Any rubbing using the 275/70/17?
Nice video 👍🏻. What do you call those dash covers?
Niceeee
Finally!!!
Great video as usual. Would be great to see different SUV and trucks. I know you did Hilux but how about Fortuner? Thanks
No mods to fit the 275/70/17 👍
May I know it this a manual or auto transmission?
Awesome rig. Would love to know what rear tank guard his got?? I can not find a single one. 👍🏿
I thought he said Kaon....I know they make a main tank guard. Not sure if they make a rear one tho
Nop they don’t and I can’t find anyone that makes any
He needs to polish his heal lights!
I think he has covers.
Where’d you get the removable draws from?
Look up Drifta.
I wonder if a Prado is the same as a Toyota 4 Runner in the States? Nice rig and you guys have the best vehicle antennas for your radios.
A Lexus GX460 is based on the Prado 150
A 4 runner is also a 4runner here, prados are seperate
Who make the rear and side windows cover?
www.solarscreen.com.au
Put the awning up!!!
Ronny mate whens the N80 hilux on?
I think I missed something.. which long range tank has he got to replace the factory second tank?
Brown Davis is the only one from memory
@@ShoeysAdventures there are various brands, just curious which he used. I'm currently eyeing off one and be keen to know which way he went. I've found 4 including BD this far
Hey Ronny, what's the awesome intro music??
Yeah... What's the name... Been asking the same for some time..... Hope he replies
Good video but I wish the guy had a louder voice. Could barely hear him at times!
