- We need an answer and this video will give you one. There are conflicting answers on the Interwebs about whether or not Apple is scanning your device content.
Previously you heard that Apple was scanning phones for CSAM content and then Apple suspended that project. But in a Louis Rossmann Video, it showed that images triggered some communication with Apple.
Then other researchers said that was not true and it was debunked. So what's the truth. Find out.

If Apple has trained an AI on CSAM they must have a huge library of CSAM to train the AI on. Maybe Apple needs a bit of 'client side scanning" done and some anonymous reporting...
Even though it’s bad, it’s for the greater good so we should let it pass. I’m not sure how they’re going to prevent it , if the ai is not trained.

Apples been caught spying a few times and legal action had been taken. So this wouldn't surprise me at all.
Maybe that's where they got their 'huge library of CSAM' that is required to train such a model. Trained on covert images of peoples children?
@@beyondpc9421 Yeah, anything like that could be used in a bad way.
"Protecting the children" will always be their way in. unfortunately, we all know this is just a cover up.
Government pretends to care for children but legalized abortion. The devil will always try to appear as the good guy.
If they really wanted to protect children they should make laws that punish parents that do not supervise their children, just like you don't give a car and the keys to a child they should not have access to unlocked smartphones and computers, devices specially made for children would be better.
Corre t, they are protecting themselves because they're probably pedophiles 👍

Three letter agencies owned by the ultra wealthy.

And now Microsoft’s new AI op system that snapshots all your work, learns everything about you to mine every aspect of your life so you become a node in the matrix that can be “flushed “ if you step out of line.
This is definitely bugging me
I am actually in tech stock investment, and what is frightening ? In the name of advancement civilization " they " want to to implement A.I in all kind of devices. Including cell phone, laptops, servers, smart homes, cars.
The plan is to act like you, so when they lock you down again or you go missing, no one will know it is you or the AI version of you.

Can Apple PUT a photo onto your phone? The ramifications of this should be obvious.
Samsung had a file server on the Android side that could be accessed from the radio firmware. That fileserver could put new files and also delete files. Now why would the radio need that sort of functionality? For all I know, they still have that in the latest phones.
The fact they put U2 on every IPhone shows they can do anything.
Worse; what if they put it in your cloud where it never gets deleted even if you try?
“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. '

As I type this on my iPhone 😩
we need privacy laws in place now and make them retroactive that no app or company be allowed to do client side scanning without their permission.
You give apple permission when you buy the phone… it’s all in the small print you agree to
One of the problems is that even though you pay exorbitant amounts for these devices and their software, they don't simply consider you a customer, they also consider you a product that they can sell to governments and other corporations as well.
And that’s why I’ll never get again an other MacBook. Their company shall go bankrupt

Well that explains why my iPhone SE 2022 is suddenly really laggy and annoying to use. I don't ever photograph kiddos for any reason, so there should be no reason it's scanning my photos. I take photos and videos of my backyard flock, dogs, and items I resell on eBay.

On my Macbook I used Activity Monitor to watch mediaanalysisd. To establish a baseline I watched the process for 5 minutes while making sure I did nothing else on the mac. Then I opened a .png image in the Preview app. Five seconds later, mediaanalysisd’s Threads jumped from an average of 2 to 14. Two seconds later it dropped back to 2.
This isn’t scientific, but it certainly convinces me that I need to watch this closer.
Does it only scan images opened in the Preview app?
Might be a good time to look at the new Windows feature. It's beginning to sound very similar although it doesn't seem to share data YET. "Recall takes snapshots of your screen and stores them in a timeline. Snapshots are taken every five seconds while content on the screen is different from the previous snapshot. Snapshots are locally stored and locally analyzed on your PC."

I'm thinking that one way to address this issue would be to simply install Asahi/Fedora linux and run only from there. I've been using it on my Macbook Pro and it is working well enough to be a daily driver. The thing I'm not sure of is if there is anything lurking in Apple's firmware and/or boot loader that would run prior to booting Asahi.
