Great video. Love the channel. Can you explain in simple terms how i can make money following this idea? Is the only way to make money is by getting monetized? How do you get monetized?

Hi Jeff, yes there are multiple ways. You can first monetize via the basic average way of Google ad sense revenue. You can also monetize through affiliate links & growing other social media platforms (i.e., Instagram, twitter, etc.) & once the channel grows, you can also use it to monetize other things such as an online store. The real value is growing an online presence because once you hav that, the reach and possibility is endless. I also mentioned in the end of the video the platform will be expanding into longform content creation ( at least that is what Matt mentions). This would mean you have the greater ability to monetize and make more with Google ad sense revenue. For me, I see this as any other RUclips channel, which is a goldmine for endless possibility once grown.
You can also use this platform to help
Monetize a small RUclips channel in which you make long form content. Shorts reach a much greater audience and MUCH QUICKER, meaning the shorts can help you gain that subscriber count for Google ad sense monetization.

I am doing something like this with a history based shorts channel. I am a former history teacher and I am doing small quiz questions and US History shorts. It is quite fun.
That sounds like a lot of fun! I did see that the videos that do quizzes and such perform really well right now..

Things I've learned in one year so far of youtube.
1. I gained 500+ subs my first year but do not really know how
2. I still have no idea what I'm doing
3. Tags and hashtags BARELY matter
4. Descriptions for shorts are not needed.
5. Be consistent and not worry, and you will see an older video take off a couple of days later.
6. Story telling is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. When making a description for your long form content, literally type it out like it's a book, and the algorithm loves that.
7. Don't give up.

I have been trying to do shorts with my channel, was doing good at first with around 400-500 views each, and then all the sudden it dropped to zero. RUclips isn't showing my videos to anyone at all. I don't know why or how to fix it :(

Great video . I bought the product but I got shorts policy re the music from RUclips. I tried to take it off in Canva but it was impossible to do so. This has to be done all over. Do you have any suggestions instead of me deleting the entire video. Bty I like the product because it is easier so I was not looking for any issue of this nature.

To be accurate Kimberley I would like to be the devils eye here a bit ; would you not think that the subject your youtube short channel is about is adding to the number of vieuws. It sparks a lot of curiosity, witch is a very important factor in making videos. Other then that great vid again, thanks.

At 5pm i signed into mt YT account on my Desktop.
Then i went to Canva. Clicked on try free for 30 days.
My Paypal info doesnt work on Desktop.
Signed into paypal from Android.
Went to Canva. Free Trial is only 2 weeks..
If i create shorts using Canva and cancel after 2 weeks, what happens to my videos?

Are you trying to use Canva to create your RUclips channel banner and profile photo? I would not suggest using Canva for shorts but whatever you create is yours to keep even after your free trial I believe.

I want to follow your instructions. I thought you suggested Canva for something. I stopped at that point to take care of a few tasks. Was planning on restarting your video to be sure im in track.
The only thing I used Canva for is my channel banner. The use of Canva is completely optional, it is not necessary. When creating a RUclips channel, RUclips provides free options for profile photos and channel banners right from the RUclips platform, no third party tool is necessary for that. You can completely skip Canva if you would like.

I like your channel, i found you because i had the idea to test The work from home jobs that youtubers talk about, and wanted to get into the details that tend to get skipped over. for people like me, who tend to get hung up, but it then feels like im steeling or criticizing. and i'm annoying. Your videos are done well. I am being squeaky wheel about my obstacles because what takes a few clicks for you the creator who is experienced, can be a mountain for the newbie, having no idea how to get Canva, chat gpt, vid id and whoever else into one short and on YT. there are 4 different places involved here. i dont see how it ties together, but i just started trying.
Yes, you make a great point. I really wanted to give my experience only in this video, and briefly explain what I did. However, a more detailed video may be in order. I did not divulge into detail here because I didn’t create it to be a walkthrough. Looking back now, I see I may need to make a detailed video for getting started doing this.
Canva, chat gpt are free… the vid ai is a charge. Give yourself time, especially if you’re new to this…
