McLaughlin hasn't proved that she is a fast sprinter in the 100m or the indoor 60m where she did run one last year and her time was so poor that she never pursued it again.

At this point, she has a good chance at being an over all sprint champion lol. She's still very young so gold medals in 400H, 400m, 200m and maybe later 100m is very possible. That would cement her as an all time sprint great.

Syd EASED out of the blocks: 0.548 reaction time. She is a LOT more explosive than that; she was being verrry careful...yet she *SMOKED* everyone anyway. She is DEFINITELY one of the best 200m sprinters in the world considering that. Plus she did this into a headwind. Plus she did it early. Plus she did it without specializing in it. Didn't even try to put more knee lift in or cut the stride length vs her 400m form. When she does, WATCH OUT. Don't be surprised if she goes for a 200/400 double at Tokyo 2025...
