We don't have the 2 litre petrol model available here in Australia. We do have both the 2.5 litre petrol, and the 2.2 litre turbo diesel models, all automatic only, in both sedan and station wagon variants. I've seen and sat in 2 litre petrol manual versions in Bulgaria, as well as 2.2 litre turbo diesel manual versions, too. Subjectively, how well does the petrol 2 litre automatic perform in general driving, as well as in outright straight line performance?
Thanks for the very detailing test drive! It was very helpful. Please, get rid of the awfull floor mats, wooden paper on the trunk and that yellow bag hanging from the steering wheel as they make the car look prety cheap! ;)

The 2.0 petrol performs great.
4369 km's and the protective plastic is still on the LCD. Must be owned by James May's malaysian cousin.
How is the ride? Does it feel any sluggish when acceleration out of the junction?

You need the key fob in the car to be able to start the car, so no, it is not easy for someone to steal the car unless they have the key fob.
