Interesting. I had immense enormous privilege of hearing Gwendolyn Brooks read this when I was in high school. Your insights feed into my memories.
That is incredibly cool. Thanks for sharing
I am so happy that I found this channel.I love the discussions you have.
Thanks for the kind words!
It's a fun little poem until the last line. We Die Soon leaves a lasting impression on the reader. So many of the ones who focus on having a good time and avoid responsibility are the ones who die young.
The owl of Minerva only flies at dusk
One of my favorites, and absolutely, because if her reading of it. Loved this analysis! Thank you!😎😎

Thanks for sharing this love poetry live readings
Any time!
Hi! I recently watched you both talk about Joyce Carol Oates’ short story “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been”. I was wondering if I could make a request? There is a compilation of short stories she’s done and one of them is called “Dismember” with a character named Jill-y. It is a bit graphic but I would love to see both of your analysis” on it!!
As a class we read it on Scribd but perhaps you can find this elsewhere.
Thanks so much. Right now we only accept requests through the Patreon tiers due to demand.
I appreciate your take, but there are several videos on YT of Brooks reading the poem and talking about the meaning.
