- Thank you to everyone who entered this contest, there were a lot of great applicants! My goal was to find a good home for Steve's gear, where the winner would not only be able to capture great photos, but help others with astrophotography. After a few weeks of deliberating, I've chosen the winner for the RASA and EQ6R - Pro mount.
Since there were so many qualified entries, and only one set of gear, I'm still coming up with a few different rewards for the runner-ups. Stay tuned for more information on that!
As part of this contest, and the ongoing recession, I wanted to help out in some small way. I know many people have wanted to get the courses, but could not afford them. Dang, I wanted to watch this live, i had the notification on and everything.
Congrats @chromeangel! It certainly couldn't have gone to someone more deserving! Looking forward to seeing updates about how its spreading the love for astrophotography! I hope it sets many young minds to get into astronomy as a hobby or even better, as a career!
