Thanks for giving SQ a thumbs up. I agree with you that cost cutting measures are sure in place... I feel SQ should still bring back her quality silver ware and awesome meal service. I be taking this same flight in late September. Never flown the 787 series 10 but excited to fly though I must admit I nvr really liked the 787 aircraft when compared to the a350!
I think International travel has a long way to go to return to the numbers of travellers before the pandemic. I am SIA will return to their glory days
Terrific review, once again. I miss transiting thru Changi; but I just realized I've never eaten at the Singapore Food Street despite a solid decade of using T3! Def must try it on my next trip. And I agree 100% about SQ's moving map. It's really fantastic & interesting. On long hauls to London, I'll only watch one or two movies, but then spend most of the flight monitoring cities we're flying over to see just how many I recall from my uni history lectures.
Next time you get to Changi you really should try the food at Singapore Food Street. Good traditional Singaporean food at very reasonable prices considering it is in a major airport.

I flew SQ last week for the short haul trip after several years of not flying them and was quite surprised with the food served, I certainly didn't expect to see such a poor offering of meal service in SQ. I travel frequently between Europe and ASEAN and have considered booking SQ flights before, but if the meal served is anything like what I've experienced last time I'd prefer to just avoid SQ for now :)
Definitely cost cutting on SIA. I was surprised too with the food served. Singapore air used to have the best food
omg the clapping at the end haha!
I know right! I stopped recording at the wrong time. Back of the bus was full of Europeans, French and Spanish. That was just the start of the clapping.. Just after I stopped recording the entire back section was clapping. Kind of shocked me....
Is that common in Europe for people to clap when the plane lands?
I had experienced that in the US years ago.

My wife is flying in 57K which you got an amazing shot of in your review!! I am hoping her meal isn't in a box but it will be okay because she will have two more on ICN to YVR. 😂
Singapore Airlines been cutting back on costs so I wont be surprise if the meal is in a box like mine

Seat very narrow for economy. Change APU of this to General Electric F404-GE-100D.? Intakes also from A4SU.
yes would not be fun to fly in those economy seats for a medium or long haul flight

Very poor offering of food.
No blankets and pillow on the seat.
Emirates serves way more substansial food on the same length of flight, and a pillow and blanket will be on the seats already with proper headphones for the IFE.
Cost cutting in Singapore Airlines is unbeliveable.

Food was definitely a step back. SIA used to serve some very good food. Quantity definitely gone down
