    Just got mine. I can’t believe all the hate from people in the comments from some postings. This machine will give you 100% by far the best workout you can get from any gym. Before the birth of our first child I was going to a OneLife gym maybe 50k sq ft gym. I’m 40 6’5” 275 lbs and in excellent shape stronger and more experienced in lifting than most. This machine is phenomenal! I’m just honestly shocked bc I thought I would be returning it. No bs. No cap. No exaggeration. In my opinion it’s definitely a very advanced lifting platform

      Underrated, and lacks the press it deserves. Unlike, Tonal cult with so much press.

      it's great! Not sure how anyone who's actually spent time with it could have much bad to say about it

    Ha! I think it built that resistance faster than a second or two but I get what you’re saying.
    Great hearing your thoughts on the update. This mode is definitely knocking out of the park and it seems beyond everyone’s expectations too.
    As you said, it can appeal to people at every level of experience. For beginners it’s very helpful not to have to think about what resistance to choose, but I also think they will feel safer too which should help them go further.

    Excellent feature - currently testing it just now and it makes machine more accessible for all , safer to use and takes out guesswork having to plan routines in detail when you just want to lift. I hope this is extended to the other attachments at some point rather than just standard handles for now. It helps me to keep enjoying the machine - it's an expensive purchase but great machine coupled with excellent customer service and with this mode it takes it to another level. Great reviews and videos as always - best wishes from Scotland

    I'm glad I found your channel. Like many of us, i'm trying to decide between The Vitruvian and Speediance. I have a commercial grade Total Gym that I have used for the past 15+ years and I really want to add some variety to my home gym. I'm 55 and dont need to lift heavy...I just want to continue to workout to keep the aches and pains away and keep and possibly add a little muscle mass. The decision is soooo difficult...lol! Thanks again for all your fantastic content...we appreciate it!

    I agree Colin! I cant wait for it to roll out to other areas with other handles. I have never felt safer but pushed to failure

    Interesting, this is kind of how I expected this machine to work in the first place. I'll have to try this mode tonight.

    Im still sad Peloton never built something like this. Id prefer to keep all my fitness stuff in one subscription. That said, perhaps when my Peloton Bike + is ready for replacement il look around alternatives give how Peloton seem to be struggling. Great review as always Colin.

      Why? I think most people can’t justify the price? Is that it? If not you’re mistaken. There’s nothing out there in the wood like this machine.

      @@alexzegarPeloton were working on a product very similar to this but seem to have scrapped it due to the financial difficulties they were having. I’m not say no it’s not worth the money I’m saying I would prefer to have all my fitness products under one subscription.

    It's pretty encouraging that they're still experimenting with new modes. The only disadvantage of this mode might be tracking progress. Does it have any kind of total force indicator? It'd be cool if you could just set it to 20 reps and push as hard as you can and then still have some easy way to tell if you're getting stronger or not.

    • @ConnectTheWatts
      @ConnectTheWatts  2 месяца назад +1

      ya not sure how you could track it, what's really interesting is that it is finding the maximum force through your entire strength curve (so the strongest portion of a lift isn't limited by the weakest portion). Definitely a lot of benefit adding these in, though since this tech hasn't really been seen before, not sure if there's even been a thought on how to best track it (maybe if after each set, it gave you an overall average power produced?).

    • @kopraljono3923
      @kopraljono3923 2 месяца назад

      @@ConnectTheWattsI suppose if showed and saved a force curve for each rep and could save according to each movement performed. But I wonder how many could (or would) genuinely make sense of that data and adjust their programming accordingly.

      @ConnectTheWatts this tech has existed for years in form of ARX machine and AURUM . HIRT crowd of one set to failure love this 'mode'

    • @ShawnFumo
      @ShawnFumo 2 месяца назад

      @@olieif Oh interesting, I never saw ARX before. They look like really solid machines though really really expensive and heavy (like over $40k and over 600lbs). I do like how their software looks to work. Seems like you set the rep speed and ROM and it basically forces you to keep that pace by adjusting the resistance to slightly underpower on concentric and overpower on eccentric. And while using it, it shows visually the force you're outputting as a line graph, and overlays it over the last workout graph (slightly grayed out) so you can try to beat the last workout live.

      Probably you could rig something running a cable over a (non-knurled!) pullup bar, though obviously would be totally unsupported by the company. But even without that, seems like Vitruvian and pull-ups in general covers a lot of ground (I've just been doing leg-supported pullups on a stackable platform to be able to do higher numbers of reps)

  • @jayv205

    I sold my vitruvian a year ago. I still don't get it why there is no chains mode from day one or the option to add x amount of weight on the top of the rep. Even now its just for an experimental mode. So much wasted potential.

    • @alexzegar
      @alexzegar 2 месяца назад +1

      No Chain mode? That’s your only complaint? Is pump or now echo mode just like chains? It adds and removes the resistance as needed.

    • @ShawnFumo
      @ShawnFumo 2 месяца назад

      @@alexzegar Neither mode is just like chains per se, and I do understand the frustration of not being able to just dial in the weight at either end of concentric and eccentric for something totally customized. I think they probably haven't done it due to safety concerns, since it'd be easy from a programming standpoint.
      But since the reason for chains is usually to make the force curve match your mechanics (harder where you're stronger), I do think echo would accomplish that particular aim. But honestly, I feel like for me at least, the eccentric-only mode would be way more useful than a chain mode. I can already have a chain-like force curve via bands if I want, but eccentric-only you can't really do any other way without somehow else to help you (except very specific circumstances like standing on a chair for pull-ups).

    I am disgusted that Vitruvian actually CHARGE for the Just Lift function. Absolutely mind blowing. You pay THOUSANDS for the machine, and the CHARGE you to lift the weight. Unbelievable
