Y’all who say “how did Dudz win” “River should’ve won” “Most confusing moment of the event”. River tried musicality against Dudz and got clapped. When he realised that he shouldn’t be using musicality it was too late cause Dudz already had the upper hand. If you guys didn’t notice that, the judges did :)
I don't think Dudz should win because why? Here's the break down: 1. Dudz just only got a lucky win on River just got his camera broken. 2. Dudz only just doing basic stuffs. You'll maybe say:"Codfish does basic stuffs and he's good." I admit both Codfish and Dudz only did basic stuffs in most or maybe all over his Beatbox routines and stuffs. But the most only keypoint of the difference is Codfish only do basic stuffs, but he knows what he does and he could maximized his basics stuff to a whole new level. On the other hand, Dudz did basic stuffs yet he only got a limited control of it and didn't optimized his sounds really well. And the other thing, is while Codfish only do basics, he at least have an alternate style, which is his technicality, insane secret liprolls tech, and powerful sounds. And that makes Dudz was a double trouble on beatboxing, lame basic stuffs over a lame basic pattern which means (-)+(-)=(-). And Codfish, Basic sounds combined with a full knowledge of using it, which (-)²=(+). 3. River is way better in general compared to Dudz. Technicality: River>Dudz (Dudz barely do technicality in this battle) Musicality: River>Dudz (Dudz only used Vocal Bass) Originality: River>Dudz (Dudz basically only a clone of PWad) Sound Pallette: River>Dudz (River, has wider range of sounds in his beat)"yea, but remember quality over quantity!", River excels in both quality and quantity. I’m reeeeally feeling Dudz here, his style of beatboxing is such a vibe for me and compared to river it’s so smooth and groovy. River’s like a machine gun in his 2nd round and that was jaw-dropping, but honestly in terms of the battle in creativity, endurance and energy (as well as melody and synth art), I vote Dudz and I’m ecstatic to know that he won! Good on him!
Love how people are surprised at the result. First round dudz took with ease, because he’s simply better at musicality. Technicality isn’t his thing. The opposite applies to river. He’s insane with tech, but musicality isn’t a strong place for him. He took a lot of this battle trying to outdo Dudz at what Dudz himself did best. A strong case can be made for both, but in the end, River lost purely because he didn’t stick to his strong suit.

I guess he tried to tried to use more technicality to differentiate a little because in the musical field both are excellent. Dudz however stuck to his game, don’t minding the rest.
