We got our Keewaydin a couple years ago now, the first trip we did was Temagami for 5 days. We launched, paddled a few km and then hit the portage from hell. Blowdowns, low branches the trail was wrecked! All I could hear was dead pine/spruce boughs scraping across the canoe on my shoulders, like nails on a chalkboard... She was properly broken in, since then many, many more scars have been inflicted. Would have made a great wall hanger, she was beautiful. But I'd rather enjoy her doing what she was intended to do, tracking dead straight across open water - and crushing miles of portage trail in style!
Yeah your buddy forgot to tell you he walked too close to your car with the clip of his pocket knife but seriously awesome boat awesome paddle love the Hunter and Harris great video man
oh man... i babied my keewaydin for too long trying to avoid that first scratch. mind you i picked it up in late september 2017 and i could admire it unscratched in the rafters all winter which made the first scratch kind of ok. a long time coming in a way. i gave it it's own channel, www.sixtyone.ca
