- I was looking to do something a little different. Wanted a spicy chocolate cake. Threw some of my homemade hot sauce in it and got exactly what I was hoping to get. It may sound a bit on the weird side, but it was actually quite tasty. Oh heck yeah! That's fun. Once you put the icing on them, it's like the cakes never sunk in the middle. I can't imagine Jessie eating these. Lol. Nice job sister!
I really didn't think he would eat one either. I was ok with having both for me 😂 But he did eat one. Even though, he doesn't like chocolate any more than spicy stuff. He probably just did it to make me happy lol. He said it was good 🤷🏻♀️

Looks great. My daughter made a chocolate cookie recipe recently that had chilli pepper in it and we loved that little hint of heat. What you made looks tasty!

I can honestly say I have never tried hot sauce in my cakes... lol! I love hot sauce, so I might have to try that. Cakes usually sink in the middle because there is too much air or there is an air bubble, and they can't hold the structure. It can also happen if you open the oven door too often. I only know this because it kept happening to me, so I asked a friend who is a baker... lol.
Someone else said oven door. I can’t remember if I opened it or not. How do you get the air out? Tap on counter? You should really try this. You may like it.
@@HappyPlaceCooking I looked it up and I guess over mixing the batter can cause the air. But I'm not professional baker, so I don't know... lol

WOW Great recipe. Next time try tapping your cake mix down a couple times to knock out the air pockets in the mix. Should stop it from sinking in the middle

Hmmm. You know. I may very have. Can't remember now. Been a while since I made these. I'll try to remember to not do that next time, just in case.

He did eat one. It wasn't his favorite thing because of the heat. Well and he doesn't really like chocolate. But he didn't mind it.

Hmmm. I don't think I was stomping. Pretty positive there was no noise. That's strange. Maybe Darbi was jumping around or something.
Interesting adding the hot sauce. I’ve never seen this before but definitely up for a taste test.
