Copying using the selection tool did the trick. Thanks so much. Also deselecting the image after copying is important for pasting into the vanishing point.

Thanks for bringing this up. My issue is different. Im trying to create a 1980's style Synthwave Grid in Vanishing Grid ( I can send an example if you're unclear). I created the blue grid in Vanishing Point, clicked Render to Photoshop, but when I click OK, it doesn't show up in my document. I've noticed others are having this issue too. Is there a way I can fix this?

Just rasterize layer and then cut it, thats happening when layer isnt rasterized. I had the same problem

Click control+T this will bring up the transform option.
Then you can resize the image on vanishing point
