Usually a parrot will bond more (if not exclusively) with 1 person, so it's a bit unusual but nice to see that Cheddy seems to like you both equally.😃
Caiques like this can bond with multiple people, especially if they're kept as a solo bird. I don't recommend it personally, though. I think rambunctious species like caiques and lorikeets should be kept in pairs, so they can keep each other occupied, but it is doable if you give them enough attention. Which in a cacique's case is like, every waking moment 😂

@@ImQuiteGay lol they totally are. They're like toddlers that can destroy your electronics. 😂 Caiques like these are especially challenging, but they're worth it. They're known for being clowns of the bird world, they're so happy and funny and energetic! You will always find a caique doing something that makes you laugh. Such great birds. 💜
If you don't work from home or if nobody's home during the day you probably shouldn't get one.

I've seen so many keepers of OUTDOOR hobby livestock cautioning about how 'nasty' ducks are, like they don't discriminate whatsoever about when or where they 'go' (even in their bedding and feeding areas), also that it's COPIOUS quantities of runny poop soup, because they drink so much water with their food, and it shoots out of them up to a foot away, etc. So ....... I can't even imagine how a "houseduck" would work!

Caciques CAN be kept solo, but you have to spend every waking moment with them to keep them happy. They're little terrors in the best way possible 😂 Such clowns, they need to be up in your business 24/7!
@@WobblesandBean oh, thanks for letting me know! I also didn't know they are called caciques, I thought it was another species. It's interesting because in my language (Brazilian Portuguese) cacique is the main chief of an indigenous tribe, they wear a "cronw" with beautiful feathers we call "cocar". It all makes sense now lol.

my little buddy takes a shower every once every few days, i put a few perches in the shower so he can hop and thrash around, he also loves dust baths
My uncle has rescued like 18 tropical birds and parrots. Several like the shower a lot, so he has 3 shower purches. It's fun watching little birb gangs form, he legitimately has a 3 bird clan of African Grey's that are little thugs. Grew up around the ringleader my whole life, she's a shower hog.
