I totally agree that God knows our hearts and that is what matters most but just like Apostle Iren explained in a RUclips video on Surviving Lagos, Season 2 EP07, when you go to the market to buy fruits, you look carefully to choose based on the outward look...so you don't want to give a wrong impression about your content.
God is a God of excellence. I’ve learnt not to base my faith walk on what celebrities or other people are doing and base it on God and His word (the Bible). When one has the Holy Spirit certain things that pleasure the world will no longer be pleasurable to the person. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and how we dress is how we are addressed. That is why as people set apart, we shouldn’t be dressed in a way that if someone sees us and a street walker, they won’t be able to tell the difference. We also have a responsibility to conduct ourselves in a manner that doesn’t promote lust for others. There’s no “it’s not my business” in the kingdom journey. We are called to be disciples of Christ so we have the responsibility to lead people to Christ, with everything including our actions, not away from Him as we help to make sure His Kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven.
@@shellyjoe However it's also very important not to not cast judgment based on ones appearance. You can be a Christian woman and a woman of God and still be stylish and fashionable. Someone covered from head to toe can have an outward appearance that might be righteous but their habits and character may not align. We see that all the time. Again I stand by what I said in terms of God knowing our hearts and that's all that should matter, we cannot control how others perceive us as humans..

For instance Just because someone chooses to cover themselves from head to toe and only chose to show their eye area doesn't mean they are more rituous and holy than someone who chose not to cover up lol. Christianity's shouldn't be based on outward appearances as that can be deceptive but on ones faith in God and their walk with Christ. I used Sharon Ooja as a subtle example of someone who Is openly a Christian but still maintained her identity.
