The opossum approached the screen when it heard Joanne's voice, and it seemed to try and say her name. Joanne also mentioned that her brother Jordan was trapped inside the tapes. Guys, I think the opossum might be Jordan.
Yeah it has to his brother, Jordan was trying to call out Joanne but the animality inside the possum figure keeps interrupting him and Amanda and Wooly apprehended him.

bro the thing that killed joanne literally looks like a mutated wooly abomination it looks even more powerful than amanda and yeah true she can be heard saying "WOOLY STOP!" that ending was disturbing as hell
@@Kaydenjames1028i dont think it is the possum given it seems to be joanne’s brother. she said her brother was one of the missing kids and in the last tape when he jumps out of the dumpster to disrupt the show again as soon as joanne’s voice is heard on the walkie the possum looks at the camera and tries to maybe get out while yelling for joanne. the new demon has sheep eyes, ears, and fur(?(it’s kinda hard to see so im waiting on game theory to take this one))
I think that Wooly is Peter. Amanda says she used to trust Wooly in one of the secret answers during the "Do You Feel Safe?" tape. She was probably relieved at first to have an ally with her in the show, and especially a trusted adult. Peter was trying to help everyone figure out what was going on, but he was constantly discouraging Kate and the others from doing anything to dangerous or rash and insisted that they needed to lay low- which is exactly what he wants Amanda (or Rebecca) to do in the show. He, as Wooly, encourages her to just follow along and pretend everything is okay. Amanda wants everyone who watches the show to discover everything, really leans into the horror and the truth, and is very upfront about her hatred for everything. If Peter IS Wooly, he is probably worried about Amanda/Rebecca drawing the wrong attention to the tapes (Hameln) and being trapped forever so he prefers to play along until further notice, and wants Rebecca to do the same. We know that smashing the tapes is NOT the solution because in the true ending, Joanne says someone (likely from Hameln) came to her and encouraged her to smash the tapes- but she doesnt want to be Hameln's pawn anymore, and that Kate wanted to find the truth instead of destroying the tapes. She even says that in her actions, she led Hameln to Kate's house by mistake. Which is exactly what Peter as Wooly does NOT want. He ultimately wants to protect the tapes, I believe, as breaking them frees the soul of the child but also likely kills the child attached to the episode. Or maybe he simply doesn't know what will happen if the tapes are destroyed. Amanda/Rebecca doesn't seem to necessarily care or know what the solution is, or if the tapes are smashed and she dies, she just wants to be put out of her misery like how she speaks about the butterfly with one wing in the tape about fixing what has broken. What do you guys think about this??
This theory is really good! Though, i personally believe that Wooly is some sort of doctor or pediatrician that works for Hamlin. The second game has a medical theme to it with lots of medical imagery and references to it, we see this with the glitches revealing overhead lighting you’d typically see in a medical setting and also with the “Dr. malpractice” book. The butcher in one of the second book also says “close your eyes, and count to ten, you might feel a pinch.” which could be referencing a pediatrician administering a shot. In the secret tape with Rebecca, she’s hooked up to a EEG device that’s monitoring her brain activity. It’s also notable that the doctor in that tape sounds very similar to Wooly. The voice actor for Wooly is not the actor in the tape but I believe that the pitch of the actors voice was meant to mimic Wooly’s vocal mannerisms. I think it’s also important to point out that Amanda’s voice actor isn’t the same as Rebecca’s. That being said, I think that the purpose of Wooly’s presence is to serve as a medical device to keep Amanda/Rebecca sedated. Amanda said she used to trust Wooly. This could be referring to her trusting him as a child would usually trust a pediatrician. In the first game Amanda and Wooly get along, but in this game Amanda hates Wooly. Could she have learned that he works for Hamlin and is not the trusted adult that she originally believed him to be. I also think that he’s under the same contract that Rebecca and Sam are under. It’s clear that wooly does not want to do what he’s doing. When Wooly says “I can’t do this anymore” he looks up, almost as if to some sort of higher power controlling this behind the scenes. He might feel guilty about what he’s doing, or just fed up with his job. In a video posted by the creator on X Wooly begs the person filming the video to let him go, saying he did as they asked. If Wooly is under the same contract as Rebecca then maybe he was forced to say a demonic incantation too. The Possum in the tapes does’t have the same level of sentience as Amanda and wooly. If the Possum is Jordan, Joanne’s missing brother, then he was put into the tapes in a different way. Rebecca was put into the tapes by Hamlin. If the incantation she spoke was what transferred her conscience into the shows then the result of this could be the demon version of her that resides in the real world. If the pediatrician under the contract did the same thing, then it makes sense that there’s also a demon version of wooly roaming the world. I love how nuanced Wooly’s character is and the complexity of his role in the show! The combination of medical themes and religion are also really interesting.
Wooly couldnt be peter since he was around when they were discussing the disappearance of some kids, lauren being a name mentioned and in one of the tapes in the previous game, there was a tape with lauren and wooly was already in the tape so it means wooly can't be peter /lh /nm
I think that was wooly at the end and that he was a demon too just like Amanda so now we will need to figure out what to do to stop the demons and now the place where the next game will start is in the bunker also now that Joanne is dead we will be alone
So basically the monster in the true ending is Wooly’s entity, who literally killed Joanne after confessing the truth to Riley. Amanda’s entity also appears to be afraid of the Wooly entity as it freaks out when given the Wooly plush and it flees when it hears its roar. Due to the aggressive nature of this creature, it could be the true antagonist of the series. Not to mention the broken tape, where it looks like Wooly is tormenting Amanda. Had me thinking that Wooly is the evil one.

Sometimes I wonder if Sam reading the Alice in Wonderland book alludes to what Amanda is going through. She sometimes makes allusions that she can 'feel herself rotting' or 'feel weird'. I wonder if the show she's trapped in is like a dream but her body itself is kept mutilated and miserable so that she keeps herself in the show as a form of disassociation. I wonder if moments where the screen fades to dark black-red is her having moments where she's more aware of her own body, as if she's waking up from the 'dream' that is now her life. There may be even a chance where the only way to set her free is to let her body die. I think that's why Kate said that she couldn't be saved. I also think Wooly tries to protect her and the reason we see him at the end is because those tapes are what are keeping both of them away from the misery they're enduring. He also seems a bit more upset with Riley (Us) for 'letting a stranger in' so he might be like 'Oh you're not here to help. You're not a hapless victim. You're one of the bad guys!' That's why his demon wasn't seen until the end.
