First time skiing on OAC Kar skis- Can they replace snowshoes? How hard can it be?!

Snow Skiing is my kryptonite- So of course that means it's "game on"! Join me as I setup and review my brand new Kar skis and universal bindings from OAC Skinbased out of Finland (similar to Altai Hoks but "more ski and less shoe") and witness my clumsy attempt in using them on trail in the Cascade Mountains following the Pacific Crest Trail as I self teach myself on these and see if and when I'll ever use them in lieu of snowshoes.
