When I was at Kings Island for Halloween Haunt, there was a casket that was open with a red light for son of beast. it was the only casket that was like that in the graveyard. By the old station for son of beast there was a crate with old son of beast parts and a claw mark that said "Deliver to outpost 5" where The Beast is located. Something major is definitely going to happen.
Please please a Mack Stryker coaster! It would be a perfect fit for KI. It would be that top 10 worthy standout elite coaster that people travel across the country to ride. It even has a rather low height requirement too
A Mack Rides Stryker coaster on the old Vortex plot of land would definitely make the most sense for Kings Island! Along with opening the Stryker coaster, we could see the park revamp their Rivertown area.
I would love to see King’s Island get a Mack Stryker or a Xtreme Spinner. They deserve something that truly stands out, and having something on par with Voltron or Ride to Happiness would do just that.
2026 has to be the year. I feel like COVID and then the merger pushed Kings Island plans back a couple years. Siren’s Curse going to Cedar Point tells me that they’ve been planning Kings Island’s next coaster for awhile now.
I can't agree more. It just seems like sirens curse could have easily just plopped into Vortex land and be done, but it wasn't... That makes things interesting.
I don't think Siren's Curse should've gone to KI or CP. I think it's better for CP over KI though. KI needs a CLEAR #1 coaster. Only i see that is Mack or Vekoma launch coaster. Great intensity, length, height, inversions! Siren's Curse should've gone to a smaller park like Valley Fair who need a standout ride thats not going to break the bank
I’ve been thinking this for months. A Mack Stryker would be perfect for ki. Imagining a large scale ride with a bunch of twisted track seems cool. But imagine Voltron’s sitting where vortex was. A huge building with theming and the ride weaving in and out of the building. Just think about that view walking down coney mall. This is Kings Islands chance to remind everybody of who is really the king of cedar fair(I’ll never call it six flags) haha
@@Studio732JRL-k7y cp has the best rides, ki is a more versatile and well rounded park imo. Better for kids, adults who don’t like rides, pure entertainment, food is debatable, atmosphere, accessibility, and more.
I think you are right about a new coaster in 26. I think it's gonna be son of beast themed in some way because of the teasers around haunt this year. I was there two weeks ago and took a look through the fence at the vortex plot. There are DEFINITELY survey markers in the plot. You know how it's like a bowl. Well right down in the bottom of that bowl, there's a bunch of survey markers that I could clearly see .. and I'm sure there were lots more amid the grass that I couldn't see. The survey tags were either orange or pink... It was hard to tell from that distance from the fence.
The Vortex name needs to stay with the plot of land. Steel Vortex, Vortex Revenge, or whatever. And, the next coaster has to be a record breaker of some kind. KI has a tradition of record breaking and the last was Banshee. One thing that worries me is, they might not try to overshadow their flagship park in CP. KI seems to have the “Play it safe” rides. Nothing too extreme thrill. For a park with such a diverse selection of coasters, they still have a bunch of options for a new coaster. A top 5 ride will make it THE premier park in the chain. I don’t think they want that.
I couldn't agree with you more Vortex the revenge with a storyline RMC Raptor 200 ft with Vortex paint scheme kind of a similar layout with more inversions with limited trim brakes special lighting package
Good predictions...I would also take a Pantheon clone, or a Time Traveler clone, or a ground up RMC like ArieForceOne. I think it will definitely be something with inversions. KI currently only has three coasters with inversions (Banshee, Flight of Fear, Invertigo) and rumor has it Invertigo might go.
Thanks Brandon! As ki is our home park, I 100% agree that a mack stryker coaster is their best bet. It's intricate and would fill that plot nicely. Fingers crossed.
Would LOVE to see KI get a record-breaking Mack extreme spinner. Mack Styker would be great, too. Have never been and will be waiting until they install their next project before I travel to the park. If it's a B&M dive, I will throw up all over myself. If KI gets a standout coaster like Velocicoaster, Voltron, or Ride to Happiness it will be the best park in the US.
I was just at Kings Island relatively recently (for me) and for that reason won't likely go for many years, but that's because of my budget and desire to visit parks I've never visited before since I've never re-visited any park (except the one here in Vancouver) since I started travelling to visit amusement/theme parks for their coaster selections as well as visiting family. But Ohio is my coaster heaven between the two best parks I've visited so far, and Kings Island has the best ops, friendly and helpful staff, kept clean, lots of shade, greenery, woods surrounding most of the park which all top five coasters go off into, one of the deepest quality coaster selections, is fastest and easiest to get from coasters most distant from each other in the park, and is a legacy Cedar Fair park in the newly merged Six Flags chain in which the old Cedar Fair has the majority share, ensuring the most economical value for thrills of any park chain with parks at least as good as Cedar Point, Kings Island, Six Flags Great Adventure, Carowinds, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Canada Wonderland Six Flags Great America, Knott's and more I've never visited, like Kings Dominion and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, if not even more Six Flags parks under the new merger. That's why I'd be happy if Kings Island were to get a great new major coaster, like a Mach Stryker as good if not better than Voltron, and Intamin Blitz as good if not better than Velocicoaster, or a Mach extreme spinner as good if not better than Ride To Happiness. That's because Kings Island does such a good job at being a good park that it deserves a chance of attaining a better coaster lineup than Cedar Point.
Kings island is the biggest amusement park in the mid west and they only use 364 acres of the 775 acres that they own. I laugh when I hear people say take this out and put this there. No kings island needs to expand outward and that’s been known for years the park is way to crowded!
I really really really hope it's from any other manufacturer other than a run of the mill B&M. KI needs a stand-out elite coaster & B&M will not deliver. A Mack inverting hyper with the worlds largest vertical loop or Macks new stryker coaster model, or a Vekoma launch coaster or launch invert... Something that nothing else I'm the chain has yet would be amazing!
I know you said you're personally hoping KI doesn't go with another B&M though I could see them building a B&M Surf coaster that's a King Cobra revival.
I know it's not as sexy as some of the coasters on this list, but KI being my home park-I think a really great record breaking wing coaster with some Kings Island themed head chopper moments would be an ideal fit for the park. Since Kings Dominion is getting one next year though it's probably not likely to happen, but a giant, photogenic, wing coaster with a long ride-time in the same paint scheme as Vortex and sitting on that lot would be amazing.
Never mind. Save the multi-launch or spinner coaster for the Son of Beast area. We need a huge Raptor single rail coaster like Jersey Devil or better yet a dueling single rail coaster in the Vortex space.
I would argue that diamondback is top 10 worthy. It has the best layout of any b&my hyper, it has great airtime, an amazing finale, and it goes into the forest for some nice, natural, scenery.
WooHoo... It will be a family thrill attraction! Here's what I think Kings Island should do... Just thinking out loud. Action zones rides are all sort of scary themed right now: Invertigo, Drop Tower, Banshee, Bat, Delirium (OK, Congo Falls). Take out Timberwolf and maybe Congo Falls and add someting big. Then retheme the area as a midevil fantasy world. Add a castle facade around the big courtyard... Someting like, "A different adventure awaits around every corner". Really wouldn't be that much work, but would tie everything together very well. The Vortex plot (I am heartbroken, but I don't have as many headaches now)... To me, they shouldn't just put "a big rollercoaster!" in there. That is actually a perfect area for expansion. Ever been to Dollywood? Something like the Jukebox Junction area would be a perfect fit (Lightning Rod, so much fun!). A 1950's or 1960's city street themed area. The Jukebox Grill, Stunt Coaster, even Antique Autos sort of works. Add a path (street) out towards the woods that connects to The Beast entrance/exit area. Put in building facades to close you in a bit (Movie theater, auto shop, store, etc...). Back there they could add a few major rides without disturbing The Beast significantly. This would tie everything together while completly changing the whole dynamic of the park. Take it from an amusemet park with some themes, to a serious theme park with incredible rides. One can only hope.
A son of beast RMC would be insane and maybe break the loop record also this would be in the son of beast area another thing I swear if it doesn’t come in 2026 I’m gonna be fuming also I think the best replacement for vortex would be something x2 since they could easily theme that to vortex
The TT2 debacle and its uncertainty in 2025 is not the only reason CP is getting Siren's Curse. While I think that played a role in their decision to put the ride there, they also had the ability to open it next year. Other parks could have benefitted from this ride a lot more (such as VF, SFMM, SFDK, or perhaps KI), but they were either unable to get the ride open next year or they already have plans laid out for their next major installation (VF and KI). I would like to see KI fill in the Vortex plot, but I think it could very well go in the SOB site. However, if survey markings are there (apparently), perhaps it is. As for which coaster type? I would really like to see a Mack hyper looper but you never know. Major parks always seem to surprise us with their decisions regarding coaster installations.
It’s not gonna happen because Cedar Fair sees Cedar Point as their flagship park, and rightfully so. But they see Kings Island as their little sister park. They don’t want Kings Island to outshine a thing that Cedar Point has. It’s just not going to happen.
Definitely not a woodie, they already have the beast and Mystic Timbers. Somewhat confident it’ll be a launched coaster, they only have Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, and Backlot Stunt Coaster, which are both not very major. If it isn’t launched, then a ground up RMC hybrid/raptor could be one, especially because new relations between Cedar Fair and RMC have opened up since the merger. A Mack Stryker coaster is the best bet. It’s thrilling, a crowd please, and fills out their lineup.
I would say there is a 99% chance this is a looper, probably 75% chance it will be a multi launch of some type. Vortex broke the inversion record. Could this new one do the same?
🎢Here’s an idea for the future coasters: a Mack, Vekoma, or Intamin coaster for the Vortex area and then down the road a few years later an RMC hybrid coaster for the Son of Beast area and even use the old SOB station that’s still there! What do u think?👍👍
You keep saying 2020-2026 for a new coaster while also mentioning their 2024 new coaster. Family vs. Thrill has never been a prerequisite for it being a 'new coaster'. Minor, but they did already receive a new coaster in 2024. I also believe they could get a new coaster in 2026, but it will only be 2 years in between.
I don’t see the Intamin happening, the fact that they are not allowing Intamin to work on Kingda Ka to me says that CF will not be working with Intamin. I think we will see more Mack’s, Vekoma’s and Premier Rides.
Please can we get an intamin hyper-vertical LSM launch coaster with the most inversions in America. Featuring Mack Stryker Style trains, as well as underground tunnels, drop tracks, tilt tracks and all sorts of stuff! #VORTEX4.0
Definitely think the multi launch coaster with be what we see, hopefully! I love B&M don’t get me wrong, however there are other manufacturers guys! lol
I honestly feel like Its gonna be a dive coaster... and I would not be mad over that at all really. Closest one for me is probably cedar point and thats maybe .. 4 hrs give or take away from me.. I've never gotten a chance to goto Cedar Point but I did get to ride Griffon at BGW last year and loved every second of it. so a Good Dive coaster at Kings Island would be Ok with me.. but honestly whatever they put in Vortex's old spot I'm sure will be good as long as its not that Mack Spinner layout they teased in those surveys.
Kings Island needs a giant multi-launch coaster like Maverick at Cedar Point or a Mack Rides spinning coaster like Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City. I love the Mack Rides Stryker idea! If it's a dive or wing coaster I will not renew my season pass.
Will King's Island get another marquee coaster before any of the other Cedar Flags parks? Seem Carowinds or Knott's are further out on their last big coaster additions.
No one wants a B and M so dive coaster is probably in our future. With the other coasters we have gotten that would fit everything else. Something not too extreme cause extreme went out with the son of beast.
I think RMC hybrids may becoming fewer and farther between installations. with fewer and fewer existing wood coasters to convert, I would think if a parks going ground up they would want an all steel structure and save on the upkeep costs of replacing structural wood. Same great I-box track, without the # hybrid moniker.
Please God be a Stryker! I would literally die and go to heaven if we got one! Here’s hoping whatever they decide though, we finally get an elite travel-worthy ride!
I think you need to swap percentages between Vekoma and Mack. Also I wouldn't rule out gerstlauer infinity coaster like a tmnt shellraiser....launch and a beyond vertical drop... Two birds one stone with that model
I hope it’s not something twenty of their sister parks got like 5 years ago 😂 Kings island has been a victim of its eventual acquisition with cedar fair from being paramount owned and operated. Now that it’s an amalgamation of six flags corporate culture and cedar fair culture I’d set low expectations of what Kings Island gets. As far as historical track record is concerned Kings Island didn’t really get its just giga, Orion isn’t bad but it didn’t necessarily wow anyone and most felt underwhelmed with the finished ride itself, which should have been a park main draw in its opening and following years as a giga. They’ve had a variety of existing gigas to draw inspiration from to have really made Orion a stellar giga despite it not being bad by anymeans it feels like a minimalist approach to a specific type of coaster imo. Anyhow thanks for the speculation video lets see what happens
There is a large plot of land clearing around the area of SOB's former 'rose bowl'. As I do not take a camera or phone with me into any park, perhaps a subscriber here can grab a shot. Was also surprised to see the SOB casket in the graveyard open with lights inside. Not calling for a SOB resurrection, but with the station getting scrubbed and the land clearing...
I give it a 99% chance that this channel will change names 4 more times before kings islands next major coaster opens....
The name may change a lot. BUT his ending has not. I love the way Brandon ends his video’s
I am curious how many times the name has changed.

Either stryker or spinner from Mack. If kings island gets a dive I won’t go anymore
I am guessing rmc giga hybrid coaster. Called the son of beast revenge.
RMC T-Rex or bust
No one wants a B and M so dive coaster is probably in our future. With the other coasters we have gotten that would fit everything else. Something not too extreme cause extreme went out with the son of beast.
Any holiday world content coming anytime soon?
I wander if they're gonna bring back The King Cobra, that definitely would be exciting...
Oh no another channel name change 😅
You do you my dude. Just gotta tease a little
I think RMC hybrids may becoming fewer and farther between installations. with fewer and fewer existing wood coasters to convert, I would think if a parks going ground up they would want an all steel structure and save on the upkeep costs of replacing structural wood. Same great I-box track, without the # hybrid moniker.
Please God be a Stryker! I would literally die and go to heaven if we got one! Here’s hoping whatever they decide though, we finally get an elite travel-worthy ride!
Did RMC not already discuss or make reference to SOB on Twitter?
Mack extreme spinner or Stryker. Or a launched RMC
Giga dive coaster?
I box track rmc?
Infinity coaster gerstlauer?
Extreme spinning coaster?
Wait so you changed your name again? Are you saying making a channel called TPR was a bad idea?
the channel name is now Theme Park Brandon :) Predictions was great at the time :)
Calling it, but very unlikely, RMC T-Rex, making it be the tallest ride in Western Hemisphere
Coming to kings island in 2026...polaris a 456 ft tall intamin launch coaster..
It better not be an B&M. If it's a B&M I'll never spend another dollar there. I swear to God.
I can't wait to see what they're putting in at KI.
I want an rmc
It will be a ground up RMC that will be a new 'Son of Beast'
local news radio has put out that kings island along with other parks are getting new rides in 2026.
If they go for rhe vertical launch they could have the tallest inversion in the world maybe like 205ft or so
I agree with the last 2 but what about a Vekoma next gen flying coaster similar to FLY
RMC's Wild Moose.
I think you need to swap percentages between Vekoma and Mack. Also I wouldn't rule out gerstlauer infinity coaster like a tmnt shellraiser....launch and a beyond vertical drop... Two birds one stone with that model
A Gerstlauer infinity was on the second survey Kings Island put out, so they seem to be a strong candidate.
💚
My biggest flex is I saw this dude a Carowinds
I just think it would a copy of copper head striker or Gravity group voyager copy
Watch it be another dive coaster. lol
We should all want and advocate for a ground up RMC Son Of Beast. The original never got a chance to shine and Kings Island needs an RMC.
They should name it Titanoboa!
Taking over the industry but there is only one?
If the pandemic never occurred, I wonder if a replacement for Vortex may have come earlier.
I love for Kings Island to revive the Son Of Beast
There is a large plot of land clearing around the area of SOB's former 'rose bowl'.
As I do not take a camera or phone with me into any park, perhaps a subscriber here can grab a shot.
Was also surprised to see the SOB casket in the graveyard open with lights inside.
Not calling for a SOB resurrection, but with the station getting scrubbed and the land clearing...
Yes. I watched a video of “Haunt”. And in the graveyard of former rides, the SOB was the only casket out of the ground. So, it could be an Easter Egg.
SOB will return in some way shape or form. Guaranteed
