I think the integration of lights both on the helmet and the bike is genuinely usefull. Driving my car I recently saw a bike rider with a helmet light but no bike lights and it appeared to me like it was much further away than it really was. I didn't associate the high up light as being a bike until I had driven up quite close to him.
This first time I watched this video I was so focused on the great Lumos lights that I didn't notice the amazing view of the Chicago skyline over the lake at sunset. Just wow!
I love my Lumos helmet. I have last years model in the high vis color. The only question/comment is can the battery be replaced if it fails or wears out?
100% a buy! I absolutely love my Lumos ebike helmet. Well worth the around $200 price tag. It has the M.I.P.S. system, ebike certification number. Reference the visor. You can wear sunglasses or prescrition eyeglassess with no interference. The lights are very responsive when the turn signal is activated. The batteries last a long time. I still use the lights during the day. People are really impressed with the helmet. They like how bright the front and rear lights are, and also how bright the front and rear tail lights are. I play on getting the Firefly add on lights also. Don't cheap out on a good helmet. It is comfortable and I feel safer wearing it. Just purchase one!
Dude. I had no idea how to attach that R/L. Bless you for 5:24. I am having the hardest time getting the helmet to pair w my phone/app. When you turn the helmet on 3 second hold, does the front white light flash?
The Firefly lights by themselves can more than suffice enough already and does not break the bank especially right after getting my very first e-bike! Gotta squeeze in every budget I got for the Velotric Summit 1 to ensure I receive it on time this December before a significant amount of snowfall can render my electric scooter unsafe to ride in my 14 mile daily commute!

I'm glad you're seeing the safety benefits of these lights!
Really enjoy your channel Scott. Just amazing information.
I really appreciate that!

It's one of the things that make that area great. Everyone loves the sunsets in this location.
now those are really useful. quick and easy marker lights for the rear basket. Awesome video as always Scott 👍👍
I like the way they attach so easily but are very secure. Thanks for watching!

The battery on the remote is those watch style batteries, the helmet and fireflys have them built in. I don't believe they can be replaced.
I watched your video for the first time and it was really fun to see in such detail how it works in real use. Awesome video!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice review Scott. Super happy with my low tech Dotphy defender One.
Agreed, but I would definitely want this one anytime the sun is going down.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
I looked at this. The smallest is too big. Fireflies are interesting.
Thanks for watching!

I'm glad it helped. No. Mine does not flash when holding the button for 3 seconds. I would get Lumos to see if they can get you squared away.

I bet you will have no issues riding it in the snow.
I was sold until the one-size comment. Big heads like me are out.
Yeah, I figured they would have other sizes.
Maybe i'm just lucky and have the correct size head. But I can tell you, this is the most comfortable bike helmet that I have ever had on
It is good if you need to wear a hat and shower cap underneath during winter time, though!
@@chaxologist2024 I saw that they sell a winter liner for it that covers your ears.
Just got them off Amazon for $170! Amazing deal! Only problem is that it’s pretty tight on the sides of my head. Any solution to that?
I know there is padding on the sides but I don't know if it's removable. Maybe look into that?
crazy price for a sensor and a few lights!!!
It's way more than that but I appreciate you watching!
